Moriko wandered down the streets of Coruscant. Her short blade over shoulder. This was the time of night when she had to be the most careful, you never know when something would reach out and grab you. Her sword at the ready.

It had been a hard day at the bar, serving drinks all day can get tiring, especially when people were stupid. She sighed and trudge up a flight of stairs leading her to the main plaza.

This was the active part at night, the clubs, the restaurants, and the night-stores. She sat on a bench, it was late she was tired and couldn't walk anymore.

A couple thugs walked out of an opposing alley. To call them thugs may have been inapropriate and an insult to other thugs. These boys were posers. They had blaster pistols that they had purchased with the money they got from their parents and they had just been out for a long round of beers.

Drunky: "Hey Mac! Ain't that the nice lil' waitress we saw at the bar?"
Mac: "Y'know I believe so. Whddya say miss? How 'bout you show me and my boys a good time?"

There was about a dozen of them all armed with blaster pistols that had a full auto mode. Clip burners they were called, weapons not known for their accuracy but ideal for felons on a budget. These men were not full trained with them but with a full auto burst from twelve or so guns you didn't need to be good.

She rolled her eyes. Of all the @#$!ing times for retards from the bar to come it was now. She grabbed her blade and stood up.

"You know if you go down that road over there about three blocks...you'll end up in the red light district." She said pointing with her sword, "Otherwise, we can dance. You may have those fancy blasters, but they overheat and slugthrowers are sexier anyway. The one thing I have that you will never have is skill. Skill to kill you all before you even know what is going on. Plus as a woman I have a few tricks up my sleeves." She stood and waited for an answer, she knew what it would be but she didn't care. She always gave everyone the choice.

The man wobbled for a while and put a hand on the pistol that sat on his waste band. The safety was on and he had looped his finger into the trigger guard.

Mac: "C'mon miss. Those gals cost money. Wouldn't you do it for free?"

His friends cackled and alughed behind him, some had chuckled at this girl's display of defiance. These men had ill intent, visible from their gazes at the girl. Their eyes had to be covering every inch of her, the concentration of the stares definately were not on the girl's eyes or blade. Time for him to intervene.

Beleyael had been just around the corner when this started, he was hoping for a short night but it was bastards like these who always seemed to get in the way whenever he was just trying to get back to the Temple and enjoy a nice night of sleep.

"Well, it looks like we got ourselves a nice little party going on here. No offence man, but this is a total sausage fest if you get what I am meaning."

Some of the goons looked at him with raised eyebrows as the white haired and red coated man seemed to have appear out of nowhere to their innebriated minds. They also were struck the the piece of metal that hung on his back. The silver long sword's blade sparkled in the light glowing from the street lights that happened to penetrate into this alley.

"I got things to do. See ya tomorow, Sinclair."

"Take it easy, Colonel."

Sinclair said to Jacques, off duty and had decided to stop by the cafe for a cup of java before he retired for the night. Wearing his coat and glasses, he walked out of the Cafe and back onto the streets, the ones he knew all too well from his youth. How exactly he wound up on them with no family what so ever, is still a mystery to him. As he was walking to his speeder, he heard the sounds of some comotion going on in a distance.

Moriko rolls her eyes, "You are idiots and really don't have time to deal with you so if you'd be on your way that'd be good." Suddenly a white haired man with a sword appears around the corner, "Oh good your hear good thing I called for backup." She says winking towards Beleyael.

She draws her sword and gets into stance ready to go if any of the idiots decide to make a move. She fishes a trick from a pouch on her belt, a small ball, just so she's ready.

The "Lead Thug" reaches out an arm to halt Belyael's advance through the crowd.

Mac: "Hold on buddy. Just give us a little time with the lady over here and we'll be on our way."

"Well it seems as if she isn't interested, bud."

Mac: "Come on man, it's only some bar skank."

Mac had gotten in front of Belyael and held out his two hands and seemed to have a smile that tried to get him to understand. This was just sad. Belyael leaned right and looked to the girl and leaned back in front of the man.

"She dosn't look like a skank to me. Or even that interesting. Go home boys."

Belyael attempted to brush past the guy when he felt the greasy hand rest on his shoulder. The man was about to reply but soon all he had in his hand was a fist full of red jacket that had a sword hanging on it. He drunken eyes couldn't keep up with the Force enhanced movements of Belyael, who now stood in front of him. With the coat off Belyael's two holsters for his slug throwers were now exposed. One handgun was missing from it's place, but it was currently pointed in the man's face.

"Jacket please?"

Mac: "Bastard!"

He fumbled for his blaster and let go of Belyael's coat. Before his hand could draw the pistol there was a shot. Blood spurt Mac's forehead and Belyael moved forward and caught the coat before the bottom of it could hit the mosit cement. Flipping the coat over one of his shoulders he drew the zweilhander with his right hand after switching the slugthrower to his left.

The thugs didn't know how to react. Most had drawn their pistols but were looking around and waited for one of their friends to react. Their was no doubt in Belyael's mind that these boys would start shooting. No matter how agile he was he couldn't completely dodge the wall of blaster bolts even with the aid of the Force. How did he always seem to rush into situations like this without thinking.

The sound of a gun cocking was heard from behind Belyael, and Jacques stood there with his shotgun aimed at the group of thugs that seemed to be the ones who were causing trouble. It didnt take him long to reach the scene when he heard further comotion going on, and it wasent suprising on what he saw: Thugs attempting to harass another civilian, except he was a bit late to arrive for help, noticing the white haired man was already there to help.

"Drop your weapons, Scum."

He ordered in an annoyed tone.

The Di-Malum had been wandering the streets of this strange, foul smelling planet for a few days now, still trying to make sense of all the chaotic mess and people rushing to and fro. Things weren't like this back on Kacur, there weren't so many different people, and all of them were what these people called "human". The other sentients weren't so bad, it was the massive amount of buildings that really threw Aric Bogan Neris off. They just really confused him, why did a planet need so many metallic structures? Sure, some of them were nice to look at, but the majority were all over the place and lopsided. This was nothing like how Aric had envisioned the centre of the galaxy, nor where the Jedi would reside, as he had heard they had some sort of facility or temple here.

Upon hearing the commotion just up the street, the Di-Malum halted his steps, his right hand reaching over and clutching the laser sword at his belt instinctively. At first the weapon had been unwieldy, but through some training he was steadily becoming better and better, but in no way was he a master with the thing. Aric was much better with using his Spirit to defend himself, as he had shown to Ismail and the others back on Kacur. But out here would be a different story altogether, as he could run into almost anything on this planet, and it would most likely surprise an offworlder like him.

"Drop your weapons, scum."

Aric Bogan heard the man bark out his orders, and wondered who he was. Perhaps he was one of them polemen or whatever they were called, the ones who governed the everyday people of this planet. Aric wasn't sure, he had only heard the title a few times in passing, he was still fairly new to Coruscant, and the entire galaxy as a whole.

Instead of speaking, he decided to play it safe and just stand by and watch. If things got heated, he always had his laser sword.

"See boys I have back up and they aren't to happy your harassing me." She shrugged her shoulders, "You can either leave now or be arrested, maybe even lose your life."

She went into a stance, she held her sword diagonally across her chest. She hopping on one foot to the other back and forth. Her blood was pumping through her veins. Her father had taught her a few to avoid the worst that a blaster or slug thrower could bring.

OOC: Nice to see the 'High Atop' gang is all here.

The goons were now frantically pointing there guns and seemed to have the same behaviour they were exhibiting previously but now it seemed as if it were somehow sped up. They alos began ajbbering on what they should do. They had never been met with serious opposition and never against people this heavily armed.

Liy: "C'mon you pansies. We still out number these bastards!"
Thug: "But Liy, they killed Mac."
Liy: "That guy was only good for the credits he brought us. Other than that he was just a piss ant," Liy turned to Belyael and cracked a grin while raising his pistol, "So Whitey... how fast do you think you really are?"

An air of confidence now surrounded the pack of wanna be felons and they now all had their guns aimed at the trio. The soud of the safeties being clicked off was almost in unison.

Belyael gritted his teeth. There were elven drunk guys with automatic weapons. Each blaster would reasonably have a twelve to fifteen bolt count in the limited capacity of the old weapons energy clips. That was enough to create an effective swarm of bolts and he was nowhere near cover. The girl and the newcomer on the other hand could rush behind a dumpster or corner. Oh well, things were never extremely easy.

Belyael casually turned around and tossed his jacket to the bench Moriko had been sitting on, "You really wanna see how fast I am? Fine." He spun back around in a flash. The sword was now gone from his hand and instead it was impaled into Liy's stomach. He looked down shocked at the chunk of metal that had penetrated straight through his body. He then went limp and fell to his side.

The group was stunned and were watching the body instead of Belyael who had already drawn his second pistol and had just selected two targets at the ends on the left and right sides of the group. When his sights were trained on the thugs' chests he began to fire, slowly draggin the guns along their ranks. The first five had fallen victim to his firing but the others got smart and dove out of the way. One had been shot in the left bicep. Using this opening Belyael dove for cover in the form of a wall that jutted out from the back of a nearby shop. Almost immediately the thugs were starting to rain down automatic fire, but now from the range and the fact they were mostly blind firing sent some of their bolts away from their intended targets.

OOC: Aye, i just noticed that aswell. lol

IC: Without saying a word, the Colonel leaped to his left, firing off a slug from his shotgun as it one of the thugs square in the chest, sending him off his feet. He rolled a bit and took cover behind a thick lamp post as several shots were fired at him, one hitting the cape area of his coat. He liked that coat, and didnt like having to get it fixed, and peaked behind cover, but was crouched down, much to another thug's suprise as he felt the shards of the bullets pierce through his skin and logged into his chest as he screamed his last.

The swordsman, from what Jacques could tell, was already dealing with his share by himself, and the young woman who had her blade drew looked like she too could take care of himself... unless she was imitating the stance, like he's seen so many others he's encountered had done.

Aric was caught completely unawares by these weapons. What kind of sorcery is this? He had never seen anything like it, but he did not stop to question their effectiveness. The Di-Malum immediately grabbed the laser sword from his belt and ignited the viridian blade with a snap-hiss. One of the flashing red bolts shot from the thugs came streaking at him, and instinctively Aric Bogan lifted his blade as if to stop it... and, it did. To his astonishment, instead of passing through his energy sword, the red bolt flew back toward the one who had fired it, singeing his arm. "Whoa."

Another of the bolts streaked toward him again, but this time he was too slow to bat it away with the laser sword, and so it struck him in the shoulder. It was like nothing he had ever felt before. It wasn't excruciating pain, but enough to numb the feeling in his left arm, and to cause him to stumble a bit. Without thinking, the Di-Malum unleashed his secret weapon, his talent. Using the Spirit within himself, Aric Bogan Neris lashed out with what looked like a green streak of lightning, which shot at another of the thugs, instantly knocking him backward, incapacitated.

OOC: Since Cele seems to be takin her sweet time, I'll keep things goin'.

"What the-!"

Belyael's eyes opened wide at the new addition to the fight. He wielded the force! It was a power that the Padawan wasn't all to familiar with either and it seemed to have a devastating affect on the enemy. The few that were left were now running for their lives, screaming in terror. Belyael holstered his pistols and hesitated before stepping out of cover. He looked down the alley the remaining thugs had escaped through. Belyael wondered if he should chase them down but that may not be completely necessary as they were already scared as hell.

Belyael dierected his gaze to the Force user. His eyes narrowed slightly as he spoke and his tone grew a bit colder. If he had his hair slicked back he would almost be doing a spot on impersonation of his twin. Belyael cknowledged him with his pointer finger.

"Hey you! iond telling me exactly who the hell you are and where you happened to get that fancy sowrd?"

Aric Bogan then deactivated his laser sword, and replaced the weapon to his belt. They had repelled the ruffians, for what reason, he was not sure, all he knew was that there had been some sort of altercation, and that they fired upon him first. The Di-Malum aimed only to disarm or incapacitate, not to kill, so his conscience was clear.

"Hey you! Mind telling me exactly who the hell you are, and where you happened to get that fancy sword?"

"I am Aric Bogan Neris, the Di-Malum of Kacur, my homeplanet. This laser sword," he said, gesturing to the weapon at his belt, "was a, gift, given to me by an old friend." Aric wasn't used to be questioned, and he even had a few questions to ask these people as well, like what kind of weapons fired super heated beams of light at things.

Once Jacques saw the remaining thugs making a run for it, he turned in there direction and yanked his pistol out, firing several shots at them, one hitting a thug in the back, but he was so scarred he kept going on. He holstered his pistol, but still held his shotgun in his arms, knowing the thugs wouldent be foolish enough to pull off something like this again, he would know. He then turned to see the Swordsman questioning someone who also seemed to help them, and looked on to see where this would go.

Belyael digested the answer. Given to him by a friend? No, that wasn't gonna lead him anywhere that was important. Instead he decided to go down a different path.

"Alright... Aric." Belyael held his arms up and his palms open facing the sky, "I don't understand much of that title crap but would you care to mention how you know to wield the Force? Also, this planet... I have never heard of."

The others were now watching this little interrogation, as he felt their eyes upon him, but Aric Bogan did not falter under their questioning eyes, but continued quite calmly, to answer as many of them as he could.

"The Force? Yet again I hear that term. The power I used against those men, that was my Spirit, and I sense your Spirit as well. You know how to field this... Force just as well as I do. And as for Kacur, it is beyond this region of what you may call, 'known space'. I travelled here in search of answers, and it was a long journey."

And indeed it was. For weeks, the Di-Malum and his people had sat inside their newly acquired ship, hoping that somehow they would reach a system inhabited by people, and that the Jedi would live among them. Bringing what food that they could store, Aric and his small group of followers had managed to survive the long trip, and made it to the planet known as Corellia, and from there, to Republic space, and to Coruscant. As a young child back on Kacur, Aric Bogan would never have dreamt that one day he would venture so far away from home, that he literally could not go back, even if he had wanted.

If only Ismail could see him now. How wrong he had been about the prophecy. If the Different did not exist, than how is it that he was here, so close to unravelling the secrets of his peoples' past?

"Okay," Belyael nodded his head. He couldn't think of many more questions to ask and this guy seemed surprisingly open with him, "You said you are searching for answers. You have been kind enough to answer my questions so if you have any I would gladly answer yours."

Jacques watched the pair discuss something, but he was a bit out of ear reach to fully hear on what they were talking about. It didn't really concern him though, and turned towards the young woman who was the one who was possibly the one who the thugs were wanting in the first place. Disgusting pigs, the lot of them...

"Ma'am, are you alright?"
