Vaen wasn't particularly excited to work with others, especially having to act as a guardian of some sorts. She had spent multiple years alone on her expeditions before returning back to the order, to the point she forgot that most Knights around her age have to start becoming guides for the padawans.

She sat in the pilot seat of the Shuttle and began flying down towards the Refugee camp to land. "So, uhh Rishe right? What are you good at?" she asked the padawan sitting in the seat beside her. Vaen didn't really talk during their trip to Kashykk and attempted to force a conversation to try and form some sort of relationship with the Padawan. It felt rather awkward for her to have to act as a role-model for a girl who didn't seem that much younger than herself. "I'm gone for a few years and all of a sudden a new girl seems to take my spot for the most beautiful Jedi.." she thought. The girl looked a little too old to be a Padawan, but Vaen didn't know her exact age.

Vaen landed the shuttle near the refugee camp and would begin turning the systems off, while also lowering the ramp of the shuttle. "Listen the refugees might be a bit on edge, so be patient with them." Vaen would smile and pinch the cheek of the girl "I'm pretty sure they will be eager to listen to such a cute girl like you though" She would then get up and make her way out of the shuttle. It would be very sunny, but the ground was very damp. A couple of refugees would approach the shuttle to greet the two as well.

Disillusionment. After her time on Cato Neimoidia, Rishe was delegated to sitting in a Sojourn-Class Paper Airplane, studying common sense about living on Kashyyyk to try and teach it to refugees who would probably have access to the holonet. The Padawan's mental fatigue and arrogant frustration would be evident to the overseeing Jedi Knight, who seemed fine with a quiet trip so far, which suited Rishe. Despite her reservations about why she was here, she spent the trip studying - if she was assigned a task, she was going to do it right. Three datapads had been juggled between her lap, her hand, and the arm of the co-pilot's seat as she read, took notes, and planned.

"So, uhh Rishe right? What are you good at?"

Rishe started stowing the datapads away. She didn't carry or wear much, Order robes of tans and dark browns. A gray satchel, laden with several (was that a dozen? Who needs a dozen?) datapads and necessities. And this time, she actually had her lightsaber, holstered in a sleeve rather than openly on a belt. "Few things yet, Master Kesselle." She replies in contrast to the informal, uncertain manner of the Jedi Knight. Even to Rishe, it felt awkward calling someone who seemed only a year or two older 'Master', even if it was proper etiquette.

Though, the cheek pinching seemed to ignite an indignant ember in the Padawan. The action made her feel juvenile, and she tried to stand straighter and taller as retaliation, even if the two Jedi were the same height. "They should be listening to me because I'm a Jedi." She mutters. "But why assign a Jedi to this? No matter how short-staffed the Chieftains are, shouldn't a Wookiee and a translator be providing introductions instead of an off-worlder?"

As she descended the ramp with Vaen, she felt uncertainty struggling with hope, painted above sinewy threads of old fear, panic, and desperation. The refugee camp wasn't new, but they were condensed, their thoughts and emotions planted into the damp ground of Kashyyyk. Long after each refugee was resettled and acclimated, after their temporary structures and tents were torn down, these whispers and feelings would remain to Rishe.

"Masters Jedi!" One of the refugees said, a Twi'lek man with a dark, golden complexion. "We're happy to finally see you arrive, but is there a cargo ship following you? I don't think yours can hold the supplies we need."

Vaen only spoke to the girl for a few minutes, but already had a good sense of what she was like. Rishe had that perfectionist and strict-rule abider feel to her; the same that a lot of other Jedi had. Vaen was always more of a rebellious type, though she knows her master would probably have referred her to act more like Rishe.

She chuckled a bit seeing the young girl try to stand as straight as possible. It made Vaen wonder if this is what siblings acted like towards each other. She would respond to Rishe while making her way to the exit ramp "First, no need to call me master, just say Vaen. Unless you're more comfortable saying, master." As she walked down the ramp she turns her head and continues "I'm not sure why we're here either, probably something along the lines of the force is directing us". She would say that last bit in a deep mocking voice before facing forward again, her tone becoming serious again. "Still means we have to do a good job though. Well, you do."

A warm smile would appear on her face greeting the refugees, and giving a slight bow to them when in front. However, the Twi'lek asked a rather difficult question. Vaen knew they would be upset upon realizing that supplies were not being brought. "Time to utilize Master Pak's secret move.." She would turn towards the Padawan and gesture towards her to give the bad news to the refugees. It was an ancient and powerful technique passed down through generations of Jedi, but could only be performed against a padawan.

"The Force wouldn't direct us to bureaucracy, Vaen. But, Master Forge might. I think after... everything, the Order might not want Padawans too idle." Rishe replies. She clearly held a higher opinion of the Force and it's sanctity. But, relinquishing the title of Master came more easily than Rishe thought. The woman was barely older than her, and she wasn't apprenticed to Vaen regardless.

Rishe was warm to the refugees as well. Her bitterness and frustration was neatly folded, tied, tucked away, and buried. She was good at that, and the smile was genuine - even to her, though she avoided the bow.

But the twi'lek took Rishe by surprise. And apparently Vaen, who turned to Rishe expectantly, dumping the situation upon her. Even if it was supposed to be a Padawn-led mission, the gesture still stung. "What?" Rishe questioned the Knight softly.
"That's not our task, we don't have supplies."

Rishe might have been louder than she realized, because the twi'lek crossed his arms, putting a foot on the ramp. Challenging, frustrated. "Seriously? Nothing's coming?"

"I didn't -"

The refugee cuts in.
"We can't keep living here like this! We're getting overcrowded, food shipments aren't big enough and turn into chaos - every man for himself. There's infighting, and this has been going on for weeks -"

The camp in the distance looked like a pretty standard - if disorganized - affair. Tents, temporary buildings, crates. Built a small distance off the beach, though that doesn't seem to protect them from the higher waves that have battered it. It seemed like an ugly thing on Kashyyyk, when so many structures were built in the trees and upon stilts. The purpose for the traditional Wookiee structures would be made apparent with a handful of crates bobbing joyously away in the ocean, split open. Though Rishe was trying to fend off the refugee, not assessing the camp or their lack of proper preparation and precaution.

"I get it, I get it. There may have been a mistake, but, I promise you we can try to fix it. Right, Ma- Vaen?" Rishe says to her companion. "We might need to go back? This Kashyyyk introduction may need to wait?"

"Master Forge?" Vaen asked herself. She didn't recognize the name but assumed it was a newly made master, at least in the time she was gone. Vaen still had a lot of catching up to do.

She knew the Twi'lek would give an angry response, but Vaen didn't blame him for it. It was understandable and normal to be upset in a situation like this. After all, he wasn't a Jedi. The mentioning of infighting caught her attention, there could be serious trouble if they did not handle the situation effectively. This means they could not simply leave and wait on the situation. The Twi'lek mentioned it had been going on for weeks, which means things were heating up to the boiling point.

Vaen turned to respond to Rishe "If the order ordained it, we would be doing it, and not leaving right away just to return." She then turned towards the Twi'lek man "There is a small supply of food on the shuttle, but it's only a week's worth - just enough to get you started. That is, to get you started on your new lives here!" Her tone was childishly excited, but it was to help establish a friendlier connection between herself and the refugees. They seemed a tad less upset hearing that she brought a food shipment, but their appearance expressed irritation. Some of them crossed their arms, others had rather nasty looks on their face.

Looking past the few refugees, Vaen observed the camp for a brief moment. It was certainly not in the greatest conditions, and it seems like the refugees were doing an even worse job maintaining it. She would look back at the Twi'lek and present a warm smile "How about we first help you find a more suitable location for shelter and help organize? Then we can help handle the food situation." Her tone was soft and soothing, similar to how a mother cared for an injured child. "Doesn't that sound nice?"

The Twi'lek would appear to be a little flustered, and his tone would soften as well, "That could be a start." He would turn to the fellow refugees that came with him and they all seemed to nod in agreement. Their mood seemed a bit better, but it probably wouldn't last for long."We'll go ask everyone else back at the camp." Vaen knew that some of the other refugees would still be upset no matter what, but at least she was able to persuade a few of them; it was a start.

As the refugees walked back toward the camp, Vaen would turn to Rishe and lower her voice a bit so the refugees couldn't hear. "In the order, they teach you the ways of the force, combat, and diplomatic stuff. The most useful skill they'll never teach you is how to communicate effectively with common people." She would lightly tap Rishe's nose while turning towards the shuttle. "You go follow the refugees, I'll catch up with the small supplies I brought along." Vaen then made her way back into the shuttle.

Rishe was surprised with the offered food and the quickly defused refugee. Watching them walk off, satisfied that someone else was solving their problem, that help in some way had finally arrived. The bright tone grated on her, as did catering to the refugees.

But something did click with Rishe. A brief idea. "We are here to teach them how to adapt, aren't we? Just not in the welcoming committee sense." She says, recalling some of the information from her in-flight cram session. "The wookiees value their survival skills. They think that with some small amount of supplies and some land, the refugees can flourish. And they can. They just don't know how. Is... that it?"

Though the nose booping subsequently caused her irritation with the bubbly Jedi to flare. Just as Vaen treated the refugees like helpless, senseless children through her tone and choice of words, Rishe felt she was receiving the same treatment. She left Vaen to gather the miraculous food supplies, no matter her answer, and followed the distant group of refugees to the camp. As she walked, she compiled a list on an empty datapad. A plan. Steps to get the refugees' kriffing act together, instead of coddling them. It's probably what the wookiees had intended anyway.

Step one.
"Who's in charge?" It seemed like a good first question, posed to the nearest refugee as she reached the camp. After that, she'd find out how the supplies were being kept.

As the Padawan left the Sojourn behind, a group of half a dozen human refugees approached the ship. Not quite timid, but in a practiced manner, as if this was something they commonly did. The twi'lek's claims of infighting might be around species lines, and Vaen would be able to feel the poorly disguised anticipation and greed as they approached the ramp, more than happy to risk the rest if their own were cared for. If she got a look at them, three of them would be equipped with Wookiee long-guns - the starting supplies the Wookiees had given them might have been intended for hunting and settlement.

"Spot on padawan." Vaen responded. She was a little bit confused on why Rishe didn't know about their purpose of the mission "Maybe the higher-ups wanted the padawans to figure it out on their own. They did tell me I would mostly be supervising..."

Vaen entered the Sojourn and dug around for a crate containing food rations. It was a stash she paid for with her own money since she knew it would be helpful to bring some stuff to help the refugees. It helped ease their sour moods slightly, and it would just help start their camp up a bit easier as well.

As she was ready to leave the shuttle, Vaen could sense danger, and also hear movement in the shallow waters. She let out a sigh and would attempt to defuse the situation before she had to hurt anyone: "Good thing there no bad people here for me to take down! I really hate hurting people!" Her voice was raised enough for the surrounding refugees to hear, and her tone was slightly sarcastic. The refugees would hesitate, but they persisted.

Vaen turned her head slightly to see the refugees approaching, she noted the three carrying Kashyyk long guns. They were weapons mainly useful for short-ranged combat since they had no scope or rangefinder, which would explain why the refugees were wanting to get close. She would stand up and crack her neck before turning around with a smile.

She ignited her saber and gestured towards the refugees to fire. In fear they would start blasting the inside of the ship, Vaen deflecting blasts that were directed to her. Each Kashyyk long-gun had a 10 shot clip. The two other refugees were unarmed, and it seemed they were brought along to carry any cargo they could steal.

Vaen cracked her neck counting the last shot the refugees had before they had to reload, and used the force to dash directly towards one of them. She would slice his rifle in half before kicking him right in the chest, sending him backward. Deactivating her saber, she would use the force to pull the two other refugees with rifles towards her. Once their faces were in the palms of her hands and slammed both of them straight into the ground. Picking up both of their guns and tossing them to the two unarmed refugees. "Alright, it's your turn now." The last two seemed too scared to fight, and they quickly ran away.

She turned around and used the force to pull the crate from the Sojourn towards her, and then she set it on top of the two refugees she slammed onto the ground. "Pick it up." Her tone was harsh as if Vaen was disgusted with them. The two begrudgingly hoisted the crate onto their shoulders, and the third one would come help as well. Vaen and the three would make their way towards the camp. "Time to figure out if the whole camp tried to set us up, or if these fools are acting on their own.." It was too much of a coincidence that the ones trusted with the guns given by the wookies were the ones attempting to steal. There was definitely more to the situation.

Chances were that the refugee camp was provided with supplies and left to their own devices by a rebuilding wookiee clan. Supplies were distributed as they saw fit, or reclaimed by more aggressive actors, including weapons that might have been meant for hunting. It could be strange to the refugees to be expected to build their community, and to people like Rishe, who might not have thought the Wookiees were going to be quite so hands-off.

Not that it mattered now. The guns were well on their way back to the camp, probably to be ditched in hopes the Jedi wouldn't recognize their wielders. The two bruised and bloodied would-be-bandits were pretty sufficiently cowed, and strained to lift the crate between them, though they didn't risk angering the Jedi twice. They made the mistake of assuming she was a pushover once already.

--

Rishe had been busy, and despite her faults, she was methodical. Like she was learning to follow emotion through the force, she had painstakingly followed the logistical threads within the camp, tracking down what had remained of the initial supplies by word of mouth. While some of it was hidden from her due to fear, or her not interfacing with the refugees as well as she'd hoped, she was able to form a concrete list of what the camp had, and a list of what it was supposedly given. She knew it was given a few months' food, materials, wroshyr sap medicines, and tools that the wookee craftsmen often used. Supposedly, there had been arms for hunting, and a terminal. That's what drove Rishe up the wall.

Someone had access to the holonet and still let the camp fall into this state. Information for surviving on the most lenient planet in the system had been freely available to someone. Most of the refugees didn't really know who was in charge, but the supplies were being hoarded and squandered by someone.

At least the rifles made themselves known eventually. She had heard shots coming from in the distance to the ship, and she replaced her datapad with the saber hidden in her sleeve. Not a minute later, two people fled from the scene, abandoning their arms.

"Master Kesselle?"
Rishe questioned, seeing the Jedi return with the supplies, and two beaten flunkies. She didn't really need to say it, anyone would be curious as to what in the Force had happened.

"Hey!" Vaen would call out to Rishe with a smile and a large wave. "Think I found part of the infighting problem!" Once they got into the camp, Vaen ordered the three beaten up men to place the crate down. They would then slowly turn towards Vaen, their faces appearing a bit shameful.

She looked over at Rishe "These three shot at me and were trying to take stuff from our ship. The other two with them escaped." The refugees from the camp would come over to see what was happening. She looked around, her smile disappearing from her face, and her voice rising up to reach everyone. "If you are associated with these three individuals' acts, go ahead and confess. If you do, I promise I will not hurt you or have you imprisoned." Vaen's promise was genuine, and she looked around to see if anyone would step up.

Half a dozen refuges stepped up and stood by the three beaten up refugees. "Anyone else?". Vaen would wait a little longer, but no one else seemed to step up. She figured everyone was being honest though. She placed both of her hands on her hips and stared at each individual. "Go ahead and throw out all your excuses."

They were silent at first, but a young, green Twi'lek girl would raise her voice. "We've been desperate and we thought you brought supplies so they attacked before Cradic told us what was going on." Vaen assumed Cradic was the dark golden Twi'lek that had greeted them, and she let out a sigh after the girl's response. She turned towards Rishe, but still maintained a grip on her lightsaber in case the refugees would attempt another surprise attack. "Alright padawan, what do you think we should do in this situation?"

This was a mess. Of course, people were often messy. Emotions, conflicting feelings, and misinformation all contributed to it. Sentient creatures were confusing like that. But for as much as Rishe felt she was drowning now in an almost comedic mire of ineffectual banditry, mismanagement, and learned helplessness, this probably was valuable for the Padawan, sheltered as she had been from the often strange realities of people and their choices.

In a way, the refugees here were like the Jedi Order in microcosm. Young, directionless actors making their own decisions. No rudder steering the group as a whole. Fractions and splits. If she could fix these refugees here, maybe the Order itself could be bandaged.

Like on Cato Neimoidia, an initiative spurred her thoughts rather than spite towards Vaen's bubbliness, or her self-destructive tendencies for perfection.
"We can't go back on your word and punish them. But with their honesty, we can use them to help us direct the camp... and when we leave, they can assume leadership, hopefully under better circumstances. The rest of the refugees need tasks, if they remain idle, they focus on their situation, and that drives them to do rash things." Rishe says, her tone even.

She didn't wait for the Knight to direct her this time. She holstered her own saber in her sleeve, and tried to
channel the authority and air of every confident Master she'd met. "If you're desperate, then you'll work with us. The supplies you were given were meant for you to build new lives, not to wait for more to be delivered. Luckily, Kashyyyk is more forgiving than you think, and it's still possible. You six, what are your names, and previous careers or educations?" She asks of the six who stepped forward, starting with the Twi'lek girl. She left the bloodied attackers out of it - six people would be enough.

Vaen would clap her hands, somewhat proud of the padawan's response. "I one-hundred percent agree!" She still kept her saber within her grasp, even though she didn't sense anything within the force. With the refugees all there, it could be difficult to react to any shots.

Vaen would be further impressed by Rishe's initiative. She could tell Rishe was a natural leader or at least a natural organizer. Although the padawan was the one leading, the Twi'lek girl still turned towards Vaen, with an expression on her face that seemed to ask for permission. Vaen would simply smile and gesture for the girl to respond.

I'm Talik, ummm... I worked at a restaurant before. " the girl responded nervously. The other 5 members consisted of a human female, a middle-aged human male, a blue Twi'lek male, a short female Mirialan, and another Twi'lek, a yellow tall but scrawny male. They would each answer Rishe's question in order. The human female was Leras Redhod, a jewelry merchant. The middle-aged man was Wur Simirn, an engineer. The blue Twi'lek male was Choom Hordij, a fisherman. The Mirialan was a religious nun. The last Twi'lek was a biologist. All of them, excluding Wur, were between the ages of 20-30.

"That should be a good bit to work with.." Vaen thought. However, she wasn't very sure of Rishe's plan, specifically about the six people chosen. "Eh if it happens it happens. She'll learn." Vaen would turn to Rishe, gesturing her to carry on.

Rishe was slowly starting to gain momentum. It wasn't hard to throw the padawan off her rhythm as the entire sequence of events until now had done, but when she was like this, when she had an idea - a plan cemented in mind, her will strengthened. Though, with this stronger will came the arrogance, and it irritated her for Talik to turn to Vaen instead of her at first. Rishe was the one asking the questions, wasn't she?

Vaen's curiosity about the padawan's intentions would be made quickly clear. "Good." Rishe said, even if she thought the roster wasn't ideal. It would work. She'd make it work. "You need several things. Food. Water. Shelter. Management." They'd probably need more, but, she didn't know how to build a town. She was winging this until she could look at the datapads again and direct them. It didn't break her stride, if she was faking it until she made it, she clearly could fake well.

"Redhod." Rishe says, pointing to the woman. "You will manage supplies. They're hoarded, spread out, and not well accounted for. If you've managed jewelry stocks before, this shouldn't be difficult. The others come to you to get what they need, and you will be responsible for keeping track of the refugees and their needs."

She moved on to the twi'lek fisherman. "Hordjj. You're all low on food. You'll be the one responsible for bringing it in. Train more fishers, find a couple refugees suitable for hunting and gathering, and give them guns for it. As long as they're not the ones who shot at Master Kesselle."

"Sister,"
She said to the miralan, "There will need to be a peacemaker and caretaker, especially after we leave you. Manage conflicts, and gather anyone with medical experience for the accidents that will happen."

"Talik, work with Redhod. Kashyyyk has a lot to eat, and most of it is safe, when I pass out information, work on the food that Hordjj's group will be bringing back." Rishe says, on a roll, looking to the biologist and engineer. "And now, you two, with the hardest jobs."

"You'll need to manage the architecture, machinery, processing, and production. The fishermen will need boats, the supplies are going to need to be kept on stilts, everyone needs a place to sleep that's safer than a tent, and you'll need to find a way to distill the sap within the Wroshyr trees. An engineer and a biologist with whoever is left and educated in the camp can do this."
She says, firmly not leaving it up for debate.

"Go out, find your helpers. Come back here, and I'll have datapads for each of you. Or, almost." She finishes. It was a very wordy set of instructions, and the entire time, Rishe did her best to keep the professional, Jedi Master poise. As the group departed - either quickly, or slowly and begrudgingly, she turned to Vaen, an honest smile appearing.

"By the time they get back, I'll actually know what I'm talking about." She admits privately to the Knight, but still seemed proud. She felt like her approach was effective - if not now, then for the long term. "Do you think this will work?"

Vaen's face was rather stern-looking, as she was focused on hearing the padawan's words. She was contemplating and envisioning how Rishe's plans would go. Each of her plans for the six sounded amazing on paper, and Vaen was a little proud about how quickly Rishe was able to come up with her ideas. Although she was still skeptical as it now seemed a bit obvious where Rishe's lack of communication skills came from.

Vaen understood it though. Jedis are trained under a protected roof of other Jedis, where they interact and speak the same as those who share the same beliefs and views. Many of Vaen's colleagues were terrible when it came to interacting and understanding people outside of the order. It was a slippery slope. Vaen had an easy time solving issues without violence, arguing, or the force compared to other Jedi. However, her master and many others did not like how melodramatic Vaen was either. They referred to her as non-Jedi like or being disrespectful to the Jedi way. It was the one thing she never did and never will agree with the order.

Once the refugees began to walk away, Vaen turned to face Rishe. "Nope," she said as a response to Rishe's question. "Your plan is good but here are some problems I see. First, I am pretty sure Hordij already tried to get others to fish and they did not want to. Second, many of them do not, and probably won't trust Redhod. There are different species here, and they already mentioned infighting. Third, what makes you believe they will simply listen to the Mirialan; a young girl who mainly prays and helps aid the sickly. Lastly," Vaen paused for a moment as her tone got slightly darker "who will be in charge of administering justice and punishment?"

Vaen let out a sigh and crossed her arms. "Don't get me wrong, your plan was perfect. The problem is that it is too perfect. If anything, they'll only follow your plan up until we leave. Since we are the only beings who have the power and authority to make sure the plan works." Vaen walked up to Rishe and placed a hand on her shoulder. Then she pointed towards the refugee group "You have to establish a leader. Someone who they all will trust and listen to."

The six people would return, with only eleven helpers. "So six leaders and eleven helpers. Seventeen total out of fifty-something refugees?" Vaen looked back at Rishe "Hopefully I gave you all the advice you need. I'll be in the shuttle relaxing, let me know if you need help sweetie." She would tap the padawan's nose before walking back to the Sojourn.

Rishe kept a stiff posture, arms folded and brow narrowing as Vaen tore down her plans. Some of the points were valid, so she took most of it quietly. Vaen's final piece of advice did make more sense, and the padawan's defensive posture relaxed as each point before was explained by Vaen's ultimate goal. A single leader? Someone to hold them all accountable, and to render judgement after Vaen and Rishe left. "Someone to do what we're doing now. But that's the problem, if someone like that existed, wouldn't they be doing it already?" She asked Vaen.

Rishe suspiciously watched Vaen's hand on her shoulder afterwards, a slight arch to her brow begging the unanswered question of when the Knight was going to do something more demeaning or childlike. And then she did, departing after tearing holes in Rishe's plans, poking her on the nose again, and leaving it all up to the Padawan, who smouldered as the refugees gave her odd looks. Like hell she'd ever ask for help.

She rubbed her nose before looking to the seventeen people ahead of her. One of them might be the one to take over eventually, but if she changed the plan too quickly, that would hurt her own credibility. So leading she would try.
"This is a good start." She lied, starting to part out datapads to each of her previously chosen 'leaders', the data cloned between them. Her satchel felt about as light and empty as her own words did. Did she really think she was some sort of Jedi Master to start spreading wisdom? "Start with the tasks I've assigned you, and these may hold answers to modest questions. When there are problems, come to me. We - I came here to teach, even if present circumstances forces the learning to be on the job."

"Except for you, Talik. Tell me more about Cradic, your group, and the groups in the camp? "
Rishe asks the twi'lek girl.

"Oh great question!" Vaen responded. It is true that if someone was already like Vaen or Rishe, they would have already led the rest of the group. However, both spent their lives training in the Jedi ways. There could be the potential for someone to become a leader. "I'll ask this in return, could you do everything you can right now 10 years ago, or did someone see potential in you and train you into who you are today?"

She reached the sojourn and would simply sigh seeing the blaster holes in the ship. "I'll get one of them to fix it later." Vaen trudged into the ship and would take a nap until something occurred.

The Twi'lek girl would kinda jump out of fear once singled out. "Well, umm" her tone was hesitant and shaky, "Cradic is usually just the more vocal person out of everyone, including the Twi'leks. Some people tend to listen to him more because of that. Our camp consists mainly of Twi'leks and humans, with a few Mirialans, Sullustans, and Rodians." Talik would look behind at the others hesitantly and turned back around to continue; "Each group kind of sticks to themselves but sometimes they will trade with each other. Most of the time it's a lot of arguing."

Could Rishe have done everything she did now back then? "No. I couldn't." Rishe said. She already wasn't doing much. She was old for a padawan, even if she had come in as a young apprentice. A student who flunked year after year. Her fingers tapped against her one remaining datapad, nails clacking as reality confronted her yet again, reminding her that she wasn't as high as she thought she was.

"You don't have anything to worry about, either from them or me."
Rishe said, noting the twi'lek's twitchiness and hesitation. Maybe her nature wasn't as accommodating as Vaen, but - in her experience, calm, confident mannerisms from her Masters reassured Rishe more than it intimidated. She'd been about to ask Talik to help her hunt Cradic down... but.

"Earlier, you were the one who spoke up first. Why?" Rishe asked. Vaen's words hung heavily in the question, as did Talik's own actions earlier. They'd stepped forward, but she was the one to speak first. If the Jedi had been vengeful, she might have faced their full wrath. As Rishe asked the question, she decided to walk, to get a passing look of the camp and the different groups as they talked.

"God this thing is uncomfortable.." Vaen thought to herself while trying to sleep in the pilot seat of the shuttle. "Hopefully I scared the refugees enough. Don't want them to try attacking Rishe."

The group of refugees would follow Rishe, with Talik being a bit near her side. She twiddled her thumbs a bit and looked down, the volume of her tone was low, "I was scared and I just said the first thing that came to mind." It is within the basic nature of beings to be unable to control your response to certain stimuli. There was a chance that any of the others could have spoken up if Talik didn't.

The whole camp would appear very disorganized. Some tents and objects would be muddy, others would turn to scraps; most likely due to infighting. On the far left side of the camps would be where most of the Twi'leks stayed. The side closer to the sojourn would be a mix of Mirialans and Sullustans, although both tried to mind each other's space. The side furthest ahead, further inland, would be where most of the humans state. The right side would be the rodians with a mix of the other species.

The segregated groups would mostly be discussing one another, some doing tasks. Every so often a few conversations would be struck up between species, but it would be the equivalent of coworkers talking to each other. On the Twi'lek side, Cradic would be seen playing a round of Sabacc with his fellow twi'leks. Most of the other people within the camp were either relaxing, conversing, or do a variety of tasks. Most of the tasks included trying to clean off their stuff or fixing something.

They were all following Rishe, despite her telling them to go do what she said. Why was that? And where was she even to start? Between the infighting, the general apathy, and the squalor, Rishe needed more than good ideas to actually fix anything. Infuriatingly, Vaen was starting to make sense. Good ideas and perfect plans didn't really mean much, and delegating people was much easier than leading them. That's what she had been doing, wasn't it? Delegating, passing off authority, not taking actual charge, even after Vaen said she knew the refugees needed it.

To shrakh with passing it off. They'd be dragged kicking and screaming to solving their problems, and they'd be united in the process. Her group already breached some of the divides in the camp - humans, twi'leks, and miralans, but it couldn't hurt to get the loudest voices from each species to join. Her newest plan was organizing that group - as large and diverse as possible, going out and solving one problem for the day, with her spearheading it. Maybe she'd find her new leader there somewhere, but for now, getting them to actually do something was more of a priority.

"Cradic." Rishe says as she approached his little card-group, and probably more chidingly than he might like, "People are scared and going to go hungry in a week. There's no more supplies coming. Put the cards down and come with us, I'm going to teach you all how to not starve. Tonight." She wasn't really great when it came to fishing, but since Hordjj already tried to do this before, she was taking the lead. And this time, she had an actual group with her and a Jedi's authority for what it was worth.

She'd go and repeat the process with the Rodians and Sullustans (if it worked). Finding a loud member that some of the others looked to, and telling them in no uncertain terms they were going to come learn how to fish, or they were going to starve. If they joined, great. If they didn't, it didn't stop her from using the time she spent inventorying earlier to help secure whatever tools and devices the Wookiees had given to the refugees for this. And then, she'd lead them down to the beach, feeling foolish, but displaying none of it.

Cradic and his few friends gave Rishe a weird look, before conversing with each other. It was mainly them complaining. Cradic would stand up and follow Rishe and her group though since he didn't want to get in trouble with a Jedi.

Neither the Rodians or Sullustans had a "leader". Both groups were small, consisting of around 8-11 members each. It was more like a group of friends and family that work amongst themselves. However, a member of both groups volunteered to go with Rishe, but mostly because both groups didn't have a member already working with Rishe. They too wanted to avoid getting in trouble with a Jedi. In total, Rishe would now have 3 more members as part of her "team". That means now she had 20 total helpers, with 30 remaining to stay at the camp. Although a few of the children from the camp also followed out of curiosity.

As Rishe went to gather people, the sun was setting. Around two hours passes during Vaen's nap, and she awoke to a beautiful sunset on the lake's horizon. "Would be better if I didn't have to sleep in this cheap seat." She got out of the chair and stretched for a few minutes before going to check up on Rishe. Vaen noticed the padawan leading them towards the lake bed, and she made her way over. "Hey there!" she said waving her left arm in the air.

They came. Begrudgingly, but they did all come. Though with children having come, Rishe couldn't be quite as inflammatory as she felt to the refugees. Part of her was conflicted, maybe a child shouldn't witness fishing either.

She felt their stares on her back as she placed her robe and boots aside, hiding her saber within the cloth. But she noticed it less. She hadn't had an opportunity to look at this - at Kashyyyk for real. All she saw and felt was the camp, the ugly, desperate organic nature of sentient life. But now, she was able to see that sunset, the burning swathes of oranges, reds, and yellows as they suffused over the lush green life. She could feel the cool water of Kashyyyk's ocean on her feet as she stepped in to knee-deep water.

Rishe saw Vaen approach, calling out and waving. She returned the wave, motioning to the group with a nod. The padawan was going to try teaching her first lesson.

"History and study seems to suggest that Kashyyyk is seeded with life. Constructed and modified by some power that might pre-date the Jedi and the Republic itself to be a perfect planet." Rishe said, addressing the crowd. In her hand, a wookiee fishing implement, which wasn't as much a rod as it was a speargun, simultaneously advanced and primitive. The other tools were near the shore, close to the refugees. "Life thrives on Kashyyyk unlike any other world. There are no seasons. In these safer forests, there are few if any poisonous creatures or plants. Hunting, foraging, and living is routine enough to the wookiees that they have no distinction between artisans and workers in their communities. Every wookiee is an artist, a hunter, a warrior, a technician, and a creator. All of this done as hunter-gatherers."

The small, vibrant minds of sea life rushed about her, like candles alight underwater. She could feel them clearly just like when she was younger. It was only recently that she could feel people in the same way. The tool felt large and awkward in her hand, as she had no real idea how to use it. So it would be cheating, but one unlucky fish was held wiggling in place with the Force. A flick of her wrist speared it. Like blood coloring the water around it, the candle of her prey was still lit, flickering with pain. It made her feel nauseous, even if the refugees needed to do it to eat.

She put the poor creature to sleep with the Force, before pulling it out of the water. A plump fish, likely enough for a single person's meal if they were going to be a bit sparse. "You - you can thrive on Kashyyyk. Live new, fulfilling lives. But you need to to build it. Before the sun fully sets, we can prove tonight that you can feed the entire camp. Tomorrow, we can prove that you can build like the Wookiees do."

She couldn't help but look towards Vaen as she approached. Expecting in some part a reprimand or correction uttered when she stepped out of the water, placing the fish aside.
