"I have the need," Tahiri grinned as a pod-racer whipped past, sending clothes, hair, and even snacks, whipping around as the crowd cheered, "the need for speed!" She pulled back from the railing she had been leaning forward from to get a better look at the pods as they whipped past, giving the Councilor a wide grin and falling back in step besides her.

"This place is so cool! There's this pirate themed bar, it's called Arrgghh-2-D2, get it? Arrgghh!" She chuckled as she walked, not giving the other Jedi an opportunity to get a word in. "They have this dish called a Sith-kebab, and they brew their own be.." She paused, remembering who she was with, and that padawans weren't really supposed to be drinking on the job, she was pretty sure they weren't supposed to be drinking at all. "beet-root juice, they brew their own beet-root juice. It's red you know, goes well the kebabs, its a whole themed meal."

Well aware of the lameness of her recovery, while at the same time somewhat proud of it, she decided to change the topic. "So, you think someone's using the Force to cheat in the races? What's the plan, take them in, convince them of the error of their ways? And then some sith-kebabs>"

Kaisa was more than willing to let Tahiri babble on as they walked, at most giving her a barely suppressed smirk of amusement as the girl just kept on talking. Her gaze shifted to an arched eyebrow that said "Are you sure you want to tell me this?" when the girl almost said the word beer, though all things considered Kaisa wouldn't really mind that much.

A drink every now and again is what kept her sane most of the time. Who was she to deny that from another - especially someone who was almost twenty standard years old. It was kind of funny how people watched what they said a little more around Kaisa since her most recent promotion. It was like she suddenly gained an aura of invisible tight-assed authority. It was as interesting as it was sometimes annoying. She always wanted people to just be themselves.

That seems to be the case, though we can never be too sure. Reports could have just come from some salty Dug who was mad their usual standard of cheating wasn't quite up to snuff. Another smirk from Kaisa as her attention was turned to the race track.

It'll be tough trying to discern anything standing out here, I think. Too much going on. Thinking for a moment, Kaisa weighed their options on how next to proceed.

Perhaps we will find additional leads elsewhere. If there is someone cheating, I wonder if they're also betting. We could go to the bookie and see if there's any abnormally large bets all placed on the same person, or maybe there will be some other kind of pattern.

Looking around, Kaisa spotted the betting office and began making her way over there. Before going to far, she would shoot Tahiri a sly look.

You should grab us two of those beet juices, might as well blend in as best we can. Of course, Kaisa was fully aware she wouldn't be getting anything remotely resembling beet juice, but she figured Tahiri already knew that.

Kaisa wasn't just another stuffy councilor, after all.

Fuck!

That was not the last curse Tahiri let out as she walked towards the bar to get the drinks, she really had to start figuring out when to keep her mouth shut. Still, at least her biggest worry for this mission, figuring out how to get her hands on a beer with the Councilor around had been solved. Though actually sharing a beer with her hadn't been anywhere near the possible solutions she had thought off. The Force, as everyone seemed to love to say, really did work in mysterious ways.

Grinning, having purchased the beers and taken a few sips from each mug to keep the drinks from spilling, she was making her way back towards Kaisa when someone suddenly backed right into her path. She tried to side-step the sudden obstacle, but the sheer size of the figure who had blocked her path made it impossible, and she stepped right into him. The beers, despite her best efforts, went everywhere, soaking both her and the figure. She was about to begin apologizing when a voice chirped up from near the ground.

"You idiot, can't you bimbos see where you walk? How the kark am I supposed to race with beer all over me???" Having completely missed the little figure till then, her eyes fell on a little Chadra-Fan, who had also been soaked in beer by her little accident. She tried to take a step back, and the little figure immediately started shouting once more.

"Oh no you don't, you think you can run away after pulling that stunt? You're paying for this, these are premium bantha hide gloves, do you know how difficult it is to race without good gloves?" Having had no intention to run away, she was immediately incensed by his assumption, and jerked her hand away when the large human who seemed to be the Chadra-Fan's bodyguard tried to grab her.

"Yeah, and who's going to pay for my beer? You're the idiots who walked into my way. And what sort of racer can't race without the right gloves? Wait...you're in this race?" She pointed over to the side where a recap of the ongoing race was being shown on a screen.
