But like I said, we don't have a title "Mandalore," we have "Mand'alor" or whatever the spelling is. It just says "Mandalore" on the roster so as to not confuse people over what "Mand'alor" is. It's a pre-Mandalore the First leadership title.

Thats what really confuses me. Mandalore the first was.... the first, there was no Mand'alor before him. The words you're using as two different words mean the same thing, ones just in mando'a and the others in basic, neither was actually used until Mandalore the First's existence.

I believe there was some summation of the history mentioned in the Taung stickies. But in recentish history, the Mandalore and some of the Taung attacked Corellia(July of 09), were part of the initial defenses of Mon Calamari and Bespin (Sept and Oct of 09) Were drawn into battle with the Jedi over Concorde Dawn(Jan-April of 10) and showed up to the signing of the treaty (July of 10) as well as a couple of other things with Venator like capturing a Jedi or two and participating in the suppression of rebellion on Itkotch.

I would, of course, be very interested in helping. Which is why I revived my Warlord Atin Skirata.

I can say that TJ and I are definitely interested.

Myself and Falcon will be making characters when everything is worked out for the Taung so count us in.

Also T.J. is right about them being the same. The Mand'alor/Mandalore name and even word were started with Mandalore the First. There was no Mand'alor/Mandalore (unified leader of the Taung clans) before then. How I look at it is the title Mand'alor is kind of like Caesar, it was a single man who's name became synonymous with leadership.

I still think we should just develop the Taung separately from the Mandalorians. Them not "technically" being Mandalorians and not being on Mandalore (the planet) puts all sorts of problems for them to be associated with the Mandalorians. It would require them being changed a lot, mainly things like Mandalorian Iron, any mention of Mandalore/Mandalorians and things like that being removed from current profiles and setting up ranks, titles and such. Big work.

Well we won't be retconing what we already have, so our history and ranks are what they are as of right now. We've made canon allowances for a lot of things before, so we can say that things like that are already around in this timeline. That said, we still should be pre-Mandalore the First.

Alright. Well if you like my Mando'a rank names feel free to use them. Also where are the Taung currently? Roon? Mandalore? Or is the planet still unnamed?

With missions, I think that would be best for the new Mandalore to talk with the leader of the Hutts about that, seeing as most of the missions would be for the Hutts. Getting a few Mandos to join current Hutt missions as backup or something would be a great start.

I think they should have already found Mandalore. If we're allowing canon to slip a bit in other areas, I dont see a problem with the Taung already being there.

Your right about that. Also considering in the History of the Taung it already says they are on Mandalore. I should have looked that up before I posted that.

The leader should be chosen by vote and not me (or anyone else)- the Taung should have faith in their leader. Anyone who wants the position say so and we'll get a gursh durn 'lection going.

I would like to take up the position of Mandalore. I know it may not be likely, considering I'm new and don't even have a character, but I would definitively like to lead the Taung. Also can I vote for someone else even if I'm running lol?

The staff has final approval (as in veto power, really), just as a side note, since being the leader of the Taungs means you have mod powers for the Taung board.

What if you had a duel for the title of Mandalore? Preferably in a non-fatal fashion for the loser as not to lose Taung members but it seems fitting.
