Arla's face set like death as she looked at the creature trying to kill them. It was all wild anger, not even a true predator anymore but a creature driven to kill without cause or reason. It didn't attack for hunger or even territory but simply because it could.
She saw the blaster bounce harmlessly across its scales and she knew they were going to have to get creative or else simply rely on the Force for brute strength.
She leapt back, putting as much distance between herself and the creature as she could.
Keep it distracted! she shouted, falling all the way to the far side of the room as she began to speak an incantation, her arms waving through the air in gesticulation, and the power of the Force swelling and flowing. Unfortunately, such a spell took no small amount of time, and would require him to keep the creature occupied while she completed it.
