Intent: I really want to roleplay Emil going through medical woes with an new experimental treatment that acts as an alternative to cybernetics. It is meant to have just hit the market ICly and be controversial, possibly giving the senate something to have a hearing about. Basically, it's bonemere but hopefully less stupid.

Composition: Artificially grown bone marrow.
Description: Having just recently hit the market, Synthbone is a experimental, perhaps revolutionary, medical treatment for people that have lost bone in their limbs, but do not wish to deal with the stigma of a prosthetic. Olympus Industries plans on eventually making limbs, but currently can only make artificial bones grown from samples of bone marrow taken from the patient. After the bone is grown, it is inserted into the limb via surgery, replacing destroyed bone. Of course, Synthbone is prohibitively expensive, and the patient probably won’t have any feeling in their repaired limb for a long time, if ever. The main advantage of Synthbone is that the patient doesn’t need to adjust to walking on a prosthetic and the artificial bone is also stronger, though still able to be broken. It just takes much more strength. A Trandoshan or a Wookie will have no problem breaking it through nor will military-grade weapons.
Of course, such an advanced medical treatment does not come without it’s drawbacks-Two problems have occurred-the synthbone overgrowing and destroying limb it is meant to repair and the limb degenerating. Both are extremely painful. As a stopgate, Olympus has introduced two pills-Ovarlayn and Evarxlycn. Ovaralyn prevents the bone from expanding and Evarxlycn stops it from degenerating. Just missing one of these pills can lead to extreme pain and the loss of the limb.
