Synoda's personality is generally bright and confident. Motherly to fellow slaves and able to put anyone at ease, she is skilled at making tension evaporate and knowing when to offer a warm hug to a down-and-out soul. She can also be quite playful and boisterous when the event calls for it. Her booming laughter fills the room, and her charming grin is often hard to resist. Striking a balance between seductive and doting, she has a large circle of friends and admirers. One will often receive advice from Synoda when engaged in conversation, whether they asked for it or not.
Her personality has essentially been shaped by years as a mother and even more years as a servant. Kind, rowdy, alluring yet strong, are all words that could be used to describe her presence. Extremely observant, Synoda's greatest strength lies in her intuition and perception. Content to recline back and watch a situation unfold rather than jump in the middle of things, she will offer her opinion only after she has gathered necessary information. But just because she is careful, does not mean she is timid. Synoda likes a party as much as the next person, particularly if there is an alcoholic beverage involved. She takes pleasure in the small things in life - food, conversation, companionship, and purpose.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born on the Togruta homeworld of Shili, Synoda has always been an oddball when compared to other Togruta. For one, she has very nearly always lacked the lean physicality the Togruta are known for. She has muscles, certainly, but she is not lean, nor is she particularly athletic. She has always had a robust and voluptous figure, gained from her love of food and drink. Also having given birth to and nursed four younglings, her body has grown to accommodate and nourish. She was married quite young and became a mother soon after, as was always her wish, and selecting a mate out of the handfuls that were eager to marry her in her village was certainly an easy enough task.
However, soon after her four younglings were weaned, her mate died in a tragic hunt gone awry, and providing for her babes proved to be more difficult. Because she was young and strong, she was able to hunt and gather for a while, but soon became too exhausted from her efforts, and spent too much time away from her home. Synoda knew that her one skill besides hunting was dancing, and she thought perhaps she could afford an easier living if she pursued that path instead. However, Shili did not have great need for professional dancers, so finding steady work on the homeworld was a difficult job. In her village, offworlders would often visit and offer work for different professions - builders, servants, assistants, pilots, and a plethora of other opportunities. Synoda met with one such potential employer, a man who promised she could find an elegant entertainment job on one of the Core Worlds, and she could earn credits to send to her children. A deal was struck and she was shipped off Shili, leaving her younglings in the care of her parents.
The trick was soon revealed, however, when Synoda found herself on a desert planet in the Outer Rim - Tatooine. Her would-be employer became her captor, and before she could use that brute strength on his tiny human body, she was knocked out with nerve gas and sent on the next transport to a slave auction. Luckily, Synoda was acquired by an agent representing the powerful Karatha the Hutt. From there she was shipped to one of the Hutt Lord's estates on Nal Huttaa. Nor'baal was taken with the large Togruta's slow but graceful movements as a dancer, as well as her energetic personality, and Synoda counted herself lucky. For the moment, she has concentrated on her own survival, trusting the care of her younglings to her parents, though she one day hopes to somehow let them know what became of her.
