Asshole, Despicable, Coward, Lowlife, Scumbag, Fraud, Dirty Little SHI-

Those were the words streaming through Sota's head as she stared at the 2 Bantha Class Freighters currently in the final stages of prep for their mission to Ryloth. The Syndicate Dock could just barely hold them, it was meant for smaller craft, not behemoths like these. This is what happens when you try to grab too many resources at once Caiden She thought, scoffing at the engineers trying to maintain the top of the hull, they were practically squeezed in like maggots (good thing the doors were the roof instead of forward, it'd never get out). It wasn't even the ships, it was the mission, she was suited to much better jobs than this and he decides to put her on an ESCORT MISSION!!? It was like he was intentionally trying to push (which knowing him, he probably was). She wasn't even going to talk about their new 'allies'; filthy, underhanded, sadistic, callous, condescending, oedipal bast-

Her train of thought abruptly crashed when she remembered the one benefit of this mission: she got to spend time with Maz. Sota's thoughts wandered to the small slave girl, pondering on the rather limited time they've spent together. She couldn't quite get a read on her, she was kind and timid, but it seemed like there was something more to her, she couldn't quite put her finger on it. Maybe Caiden was the factor here, she always acted so dutiful around him or his cohorts, maybe time away will let her see under the hood a little. Speaking of Caiden, Sota said 'screw it' and called the little ass up on the comm. Whether or not he answered was his own choice, but either way, he would be hearing this, live or on voicemail.
"This is because I drank all your Cathar Brandy at the party isn't it? Why else would you give me such a crap detail?" She spat out.

OOC: @EmilyHuene I'm not asking you to take part in the thread, I just had a small thought for a funny lecture caiden could give, but if you think he wouldn't do that, just ignore this.

Mazikken had prepped the penthouse before leaving. She was assigned to be elsewhere but she never left the place with anything to do. She hurried off to shuttle up to the ship to help Sota with and escort mission. She wore her usual split skirt and had all her blades tucked away strapped to her thigh or in the slots of her thigh knee high black leather boots. She drew her hair up into a messy curly bun as she boarded the ship to meet with Sota and get this load moving to their outpost.
"This is because I drank all your Cathar Brandy at the party isn't it? Why else would you give me such a crap detail?"
She stepped in just as Sota rattled off angrily into the comms. She softly coughed to announce her presence and shook her head at Sota for the message she had sent out with the sounds of anger in her voice. "Every job is important whether its an escort mission, a slave capture, or setting a table. I mean my simple task of fixing Caiden a drink usually stops him from firing people or destroying things. You must see a bigger picture, If you don't then you will never be happy." This applied to the early slave days for Mazikeen more than the other could probably ever understand.

Sota started to cool off at the sound of a cough behind her, and she whipped around pocketing her comm, looking ever so slightly embarrassed. Maz stood before her looking...actually quite disappointed, surprising, she assumed that she had been conditioned to just act subservient to everyone...then again, the mission with Ju should've said otherwise. She shrugged and held up her arms tiredly.
"I know there's a bigger picture, I'm just having trouble finding my role in it" She said, smiling softly at the slave girl. "You're lucky, in a way, you seem to know your place in the universe"

Behind her, the ship finally was given the all clear to take off and the crew roll call sounded, prompting her to look back. "Time to go"

Mazikeen simply remained silent. It wasn't that she knew he place, she simply knew if you don't make yourself comfortanle, when in her place, then you usually don't live. Also Caiden was probably the best owner she could have ever had. Mazikeen took to navigation as it was the place she was most comfortable. "Adjusting heading.... on coarse." Mazikeen smiled at sota." So it's nice to have the syndicate growing, is it not?"
