The backend team is upgrading SWRPs software from Xenforo 1.4 to Xenforo 2.1. This is a major upgrade and it'll be done on the same day as the new timeline launch. What this means is that SWRP will be down longer than usual on launch day. This extra downtime may range between 3-6 hours depending on many factors.
To put things into perspective nothing from the Xenforo 1.x series works on Xenforo 2.x. What this means is everything will be stripped off the site before it is upgraded. The skins, features (addons), BBCODE, everything but the very basics (accounts, posts, forums) will have to be removed. Once upgraded, the new 2.x skin, features and bbcode will be uploaded and then configured for the site. It is a major lift and the backend team has been working hard to prep for it to lesson the amount of downtime needed.
While not all of the BBCODE we have now will be available right after the upgrade, it will eventually be available once we get around to recreating it to function on 2.x. There will also be plenty of new BBCODE specific to 2.x to use. If it wasn't obvious the skin/theme we have now will be gone and replaced with something similar but completely new. There will be several new features and quality of life upgrades.
Our suggestion is not to go too crazy designing new character profile templates before then and to save anything important to you on gdocs.
