Theme
The undeveloped land of Kuat became rarer and rarer these days, and indeed any time she might have had to see it at leisure was becoming less and less frequent as her duties at home and abroad increased. Still, she had made a promise, one that she would keep, in a way.

Beyond the Kuati mesas stretched some open land, a particularly scenic area she had picked out herself, looking through her brothers old notes of where he might like to paint next. Perhaps it would have been her portrait, had things gone another way. It no longer could be him behind the brush.

One had been found though, a painter, brought down to the surface with her so that they might capture her likeness. She tried not to think of Finnigan. She tried ever so hard. Even when she did, she didn't know if it was pity she felt, loss even, or merely the absence of emotion that stirred within, her mind unsure of what to feel in the moment. Her gaze was long, looking far beyond the painter and into the distance. She hadn't been sleeping well for some time now, perhaps it was merely a side effect of that that made her glaze over ever so slightly.

Still, she had willed herself here, there had to be something for her here, out in the stillness of nature.

The wind picked up and the grass around her moved freely with it.

The painter hummed as he worked, first using a pencil to outline her, before he would ever consider bringing brush to canvas. Mistakes were not something that he tolerated after all! He was the premier artist on Kuat now that someone had managed to kill that Finnigan fool and he was glad of it.

As he was sketching, Saorise would begin to hear something that wasn't the wind.

It could be mistaken for the wind at first but it was repeating itself again and again - a whisper that came along with the wind. When the breeze touched her cheek, it brought with it a whisper to her ear.

"... truly your kingdom is strong..."

It was a whisper, it was repeating itself.

And it was mocking her.

As the voice ran past her head, Saorise sat up straight, shaking her head, trying to be certain that she was hearing what she believed she had. Glancing over to the painter, the man only hummed a little, a faint tune she could naught make out amidst the wind. Though it wasn't that that was the source of her worry. And it only became clearer that whatever these words were weren't quite so easily dismissed.

Instead, for now she breathed deep, focused intently on the painter, even as the words whispered their worst. Saorise wanted to laugh it off, assume it was simply some exhaustion or over exertion these past weeks. Perhaps it was nothing more than her mind.

For now she hoped that was all, anyhow,

Squinting her eyes, and trying to move her mind from it, she tried to break the silence, perhaps it was merely sitting so long that was making her go stir crazy,

"Did you say something?" she asked cautiously to the painter, hoping that whatever it was was only her thoughts drifting, the drowned out noise of a quiet painter when her mind had wandered and nothing more.

"Force" she muttered to herself, twisting the ring on her finger. That had better be it,

"I do not have time for this"
