NAME: Sūn Jīndiāo 孫金雕
FACTION: Imperial Knights
RANK: Seneschal
SPECIES: Human
AGE: 48
GENDER: Male
HEIGHT: 5'11"
WEIGHT: 188 lbs.
EYES: Brown.
HAIR: Black.
SKIN: Tanned Asian.
CREDITS:
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Blind left eye, scar on left side of face.
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes.

STR:
||||||||||
Jindiao is a strong and able man, though he is not he-man. Expect him to be capable of laying relentless, powerful blows and carry his own weight, but he's not going to be tossing sumo wrestlers across the room.
DEX:
||||||||||
Jindiao is of average flexibility. While he is capable of quick movements, these tend to drain him over time, and he prefers ruthless and relentless attacks.
CON:
||||||||||
A tough man, Jindiao is capable of absorbing a substantial amount of punishment, is extremely resilient to pain and torture, and is essentially immune to poison. He shrugs off minor blows, but this has given him a sense of invulnerability that often translates into an impetuous and brash aggression.
INT:
||||||||||
Though not smart in the ways of technology - indeed he is even fearful of droids - Jindiao's intellect is apparent in his cunning and patience. He is able to perceive the way to best hurt his foe.
WIS:
||||||||||
Wisdom is perhaps Jindiao's greatest flaw. He does not heed teachings, is reckless, and has difficulty learning from situations he has not himself failed.
CHA:
||||||||||
Jindiao is as charismatic as a rock. Capable only of inspiring fear, he is reckless and stubborn. Jindiao is a dogmatic crusader against the Sith who wishes to restore the Empire - no matter the cost.

Standard Imperial Knight lightsaber
Several thermal detonators
Blaster pistol
Utility belt

PERSONALITY:
Jindiao is a man who wages a constant war against his inner demons. Though he appears to be in control of himself, his hatred for the Dark Side is nearly unnatural, and gives Jindiao a sense of disturbing self-loathing. He hates those that consort with the Dark Side, and is relentless in his persecution of what he feels is evil. He, however, does not believe that he is worthy of the Light Side, and therefore has no qualms about using fire to fight fire.

BIOGRAPHY:
The Battle of Bastion changed us all. Before Bastion, the Knighthood represented the essence of the Empire. A firm hand, a strong principle, and a stalwart conviction to ensure stability and prosperity no matter the cost. We all believed in it, we all saw a brighter future for the Empire. But now I know, that was a delusion; a facade that fell like a house of cards and stripped from us our fantasy and displayed to us the gruesome reality of the universe: the Dark Side perpetually sought to undermine benevolent governance, and manipulate the Force as nothing more than a tool.

I served alongside the Knight-Commander and the Emperor at Bastion - I fought with the rest of them, my blade alongside so many others, a shimmering wall of glowing silver that made even the Sith assault hesitate for a moment. I remember the flurry of blows, I remember muscles that ached. I remember my soul dying there, on the field. Before Bastion, I had regarded the Force with the same principles that all the Knights did. But, my service at that massacre changed my perspective. Some call me a maverick, others call me a radical. They're correct - but that doesn't matter anymore. I know what the Dark Side is; it is a plague not within the Force, but within the minds of the Sith. Once before, we sent the Sith fleeing before us like scurrying dogs. Now, we must do so again. Only the complete annihilation of the Sith, and any that support their ideology, can set our Galaxy free. The end will always justify the means.

You must understand me, stranger. I will bring upon the Sith unending war, a relentless crusade to annihilate the enemy - there will be no passion, there will be no rage; the Light will prevail through courage and conviction. The Light will guide us the our unending vigil for which our Knighthood was created, a vigil which we failed to prosecute. Never again will I fail.

Sun Jindiao is follows the typical Asian naming convention of surname followed by personal name. Thus, his first name is Jindiao. I found the Star Wars universe to be a fairly bland, Western-centric concept (how many Asians, Indians, Hispanics, or Blacks did you see in the movies etc.? 2 Blacks, 1 Asian jedi, no Indians, and not even sure if Boba/Jango was supposed to be Hispanic. Everyone else was Germanic white - methinks George Lucas was almost as racist as Walt Disney)

Jango was from New Zealand. Either way great Imperial knight. I think I might have need of his talents in a thread soon enough.

Jango is Maori, which is a New Zealand native.

Western film making typically ignores Asians unless it's a kung fu flick, then an Asian has to at least be kicking someone's ass like no big deal. So...

Hey western films have Asians, they always have a calculator and glasses. Or they are Devon Aoki in a miniskirt.

You've not played Kotor 2, have you? Maybe it's just me, but a lot of the Twi'leks in that game sounds Mexican.

I have played KOTOR2. >.> I never noted any accents. I know I can't stand the Twi'lek's normal language though.
