Savareen - Near Galactic Alliance "Hideout"

The last month had been a whirlwind for him, He had been introduced to so many new people and had been pulled into some rebellion he didn't quite fully understand. He knew he didn't like the Empire, and that they were bad, but he wasn't sure how he fit into all of this.

It was a strange feeling, to feel so out of place, but also feel like he was in exactly the place he was supposed to. He had found himself finally off of Tatooine and on the nearby planet of Savareen at a small...well, it wasn't a base. It was just a stopping point for members. Mig had things to take care of and had to leave, so, for now, he was making due. At least this planet wasn't a ball of fire like Tatooine.

He sat in a nearby small clearing on the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean. He had found a small pile of greens he had claimed for himself and was slowly eating as he tinkered with some part for a droid he had been trying to repair.

He heard what sounded like whispering behind him. His ears twitched, turning towards where he thought the noise had come from. When he didn't hear anything else, he turned, and he saw nothing. This was strange, He definitely felt..something. Maybe there was something wrong with this food. He looked down at the small pile of vegetables he had gathered. No. They were perfect. "Probably just the wind." he said to himself before turning back to his project.

Light was gathering in the galaxy. A brilliant beautiful bright light. The Darkness was being pushed for the first time in centuries. The Jedi had returned. The time of the Sith was over, this was the will of the Force. Balance would be restored. Aurora was an instrument of the Force. She was rebuilding the Order brick by brick, student by student. She listened to the call. Aurora spent as much time as possible training the future Jedi. What little extra time was spent furthering the needs of the Alliance. None of it was easy. She was frequently very tired, but rest would come when the task was finished. Aurora did try and take a few moments to herself.

That was what she attempted now. A few moments to herself. Savareen was the official home of the Alliance, and one of the few worlds Aurora could find some peace. Al’doleem was best, but filled with distractions. She was less likely to be interrupted on Savareen. She had wandered away from the main base. Aurora’s mental walls were held high but her Force signature was free. She was comfortable among the Rebels. She trusted them. The waves of the Light washed over her. This was peace, this was serenity.

Aurora just needed a place rest. A grove or something overlooking the water. Anything would do. She felt a tug in the Force. She knew that feeling. The Jedi Master followed the little nudges of the Force. There was not denying when it spoke to her, she knew the feeling well. For years Aurora had ignored that push to begin. She never ignored it again. Her feet carried to a small clearing. She reached out in the the Force and sensed life. No, no. Not just life. Aurora felt the Force vibrated back in her mind. She stepped into the small area and her eyes fell on a small furry creature. Her brow wrinkled in confusion. A pile of vegetables? “Um, what are you doing?” Aurora had recruited nearly a dozen student but she’d never really gotten better at this part. Oh well, it would get easier. @Raydo

He turned back to the part he had been tinkering with. He wasn't really making any progress, but it kept his hands busy. He periodically took a handful of the vegetables and ate as he worked. He felt..wierd. It made his whiskers tingle. At first, he took it as a sign of danger, but it wasn't that. He had felt that countless times over the last months. He didn't know what this was.

He had an excellent sense of hearing but didn't hear the woman approach. He jumped slightly as she spoke and turned to face her, mouth full of greens. "Me?" he said in a muffled tone due to his mouth being full. "Eatin'" he added, this time some food spilling out. He took a moment a swallowed down the food quickly. "I was told I could sit up here. I hope that is okay?" he said, uncharacteristically unsure of himself. He wasn't really apart of the Alliance yet, he was more of a tolerated guest. He wasn't given a job or tasks. He just was...around.

His hears twitching, he eyed her for a moment. "What are YOU doing?" he asked, regaining some of his normal spunk. He wasn't sure who this woman was or what she wanted. The last time he had a run in with a human woman, he had almost been rabbitnapped.

He decided she wasn't going to do that so before she could answer he plopped back down, oversized feet in front of him. He picked up a carrot, the best carrot he had been saving. He held it up to his mouth for before pausing. He held it out to the woman "Hrrm?" he said, offering it to her. Of course, she would accept the carrot, who would be silly enough to turn away such a gift.

What a strange little creature. Aurora was exactly sure what the fur ball was, and she didn’t know if it exactly mattered. She’d lived seventy-five years in the Outer Rim and seen all manner of galactic beings. The slightly nervous fluff was entirely unique as far as she knew. He did seem to just be eating. “What am I doing here?” She pondered the thought for a moment. Oh, she knew exactly what she was doing here now. “Apparently running into you.” Aurora waved a hand around the little clearing. “You’re free to go wherever you like…we aren’t the Empire and I am certainly not in charge.” That was partially true. Aurora had really taken no formal leadership role in the Alliance. Her concern was reforming the Order.

Her eyes widened as a carrot was thrust in her face. It looked raw. Had she ever eaten a raw carrot? Well, first time for everything. She took the carrot, brushed off the dirt and took a large bite. Her face twisted into a grimace. “Oh kriff that is awful.” She loudly munched on the pieces in her mouth. “Turns out raw vegetables aren’t for me.”. Aurora stuck out a hand in greeting. “Aurora Blackwood…and you are?” She needed a name to figure out exactly who she was dealing with.

This close there was no denying his Force sensitivity. The problem was figuring out what the little man knew, and what he was willing to learn. The harder choice was deciding if she should teach him. Aurora had made mistakes in the past. Not every student was fit for learning their ways. It was up to her to decide who was capable of becoming a Jedi. That was no easy task, and it had not gotten any easier with practice. One of these days she would figure out a better system. @Raydo

Maybe Kushibans paid more attention to body language or maybe she had a certain smell about her, but she certainly seemed like a leader to him, or at least she carried herself like one. He relaxed somewhat though, his ears flopping down to either side of his head.

He studied her as she examined the carrot and then took a bite. Her face twisted like she had eaten something rotten. He knew it was fresh, he had just found it today! “You humans have terrible tastes!” He said crossing his arms. He wouldn't even bother offering more from the pile of vegetables to her. Though he supposed that just meant there was more for him.

She offered a hand, a gesture he had come to know during his time in the Galaxy. He hoped forward and extended a hand to her. "I'm Firen! Nice to meet ya'" he said pleasantly. "So if you aren't in charge, what do you do here?" he asked tilting his head to the side as he asked the question. He thought for a second before adding "and do you know anything about droid vocabulators. This.." he said retrieving the broken part he had been trying to fix and holding it up. "is broke and I can't figure it out."

Aurora tilted her head to the side, mirroring Firen’s odd little movement. She walked forward and kneeled down as the fur ball stuck out his hand. Aurora stuck her own hand out and shook. She stood slowly with several creaks in her knees. She grimaced slightly. “Oh my word, I am getting old.” The Morellian cracked her back. “Next time you want to shake hands, you’re jumping up to my level.” Aurora smiled softly. “I am way too old for all this bending and twisting.” She was doing far too much running around for a woman her age. That was becoming increasingly true for Jedi Master.

“I will be about as much help fixing that thing as those trees.” She pointed at the tree line. She wasn’t exactly skilled with technology. Aurora had many skills, seven decades of life, but she was not great with mechanics. “What do I do around here? She wasn’t exactly sure what the kriff her role was in the Alliance. For her students she was their Master. To everyone else she was just another random rebel with a giant secret. A secret Aurora would do nearly anything to keep. The Order was not ready to be revealed to the galaxy. “Well, I mostly find strange little folks like you and convince them to do incredible things.”

Aurora cocked her head to the side again. That same smile blossomed on her face. “Have you ever noticed you are different than those around? A feeling in your gut that something is just different...You have felt it, I know you have.” Maybe she was getting better at those whole ‘you are Force sensitive’ thing, or Aurora was getting a whole lot worse. She couldn’t exactly figure out which. @Raydo

The woman's bones creaked and cracked and she joked about the next time they met. "Deal!" he said as she knelt down. "Ya know...you should eat more greens. I am sure that will make you feel better, works for me!" he said eyeing his now dwindling pile of veggies on the ground.

His face twisted into a bit of a grimace when she said she couldn't help him with his part issue. He would have to ask the gross mechanic back at the base. He smelled funny and was always mean. He had thrown a wrench on Firen earlier! Rude!

"Hey! I am not strange!" he interrupted. People always said he was strange..a lot actually. What was wrong with people? He brought his attention quickly back to her question. Of course, he was different, he had never seen another Kushiban off of his homeworld, but he also knew some of the truth in her words. Even on his homeworld, he had felt different, around his family. "Yeah, I guess I do feel different sometimes." he said thinking on her words. "...Sometimes, I feel like..." he said struggling to find the words. "..like someone is telling me what to do..but I don't hear words...I don't know" he said, feeling silly. She probably thought he was crazy. "Sounds stupid saying it outloud..." he said scratching behind his ear.
