It had been so long since Kyi had been to Ilum, the Jedi Knight hadn't been here since he crafted his lightsaber in the Crystal Caves which felt like a lifetime ago. He had been through so much since then, he didn't even feel like the same person who had crafted the lightsaber he carries now, nine years ago. As a matter of fact, Kyi had no idea what he was even doing on Ilum - he was originally tracking down his old friend Sakadi...who had mysteriously left the Jedi Order some months ago without any explanation, he needed to find out why.

However, through long and concentrated meditation, the Jedi felt the Force call out to him which in-turn led him all the way to here. Kyi didn't bother questioning the Force though, he knew it always worked in mysterious ways and he wouldn't be on Ilum if it wasn't for an important reason - he'd just have to find out what that was exactly.

Exiting the cockpit of his Malla-class starfighter, Kyi was accompanied by his trusty droid companion Exdee and was outfitted in his snow gear, with his lightsaber clipped to his belt, he made his way into the direction where the Force was still calling out to him. He felt the Force was leading him into the direction of the Jedi Temple but he would find out if this was true or not.

The Force was an endless cycle of clinches and tie-ups for Tsara Tarr.

The simplest elements of the Force required her to wrestle with it to execute. A constant struggle. Only several techniques were accessible with 'ease'. The ability to at least let it swarm around her with its ever pushy influence, and to project that weight on others. Under this weight, when she spoke, people tended to go her way on things.

But things had changed, roughly a month ago, on Ossus. Atraxis. Iden. Two polar opposites had stoked up the Force, had thrown her already turbulent relationship with the all encompassing will of creation into further chaos. It was more than adversarial now. It clung to her with dual whispers, adding colors to the fantasy conjured in her sleep.

Three days ago the whispers were replaced with one salient cry. A call. Images of her mother haunted her dreams and nightmares. Her concentration drifted from the materials she'd obtained on Ossus, from her ministrations to Atraxis and his dealings. She was being screamed at by something from the fringes. And she couldn't deny it any longer.

It was a hard sell for Atraxis to leave her on Tatooine on short notice, but their pact incorporated such indulgences as this, which she would owe him for later. From Tatooine to Ilum required a bit of finesse that proved surprissing to her when she pulled it off. The freighter pilot really...REALLY liked Lekku...

Shivering beneath the serape about her shoulders, Tsara noted that her inventory of gear, while well suited to for drawing in men, lacked the basic needs of keeping her protected from the elements. The coverall she was wearing might as well have been nothing at all, the wind knifing through it like a Vibrblade through a Arkanian Silk shirt.

But while the cold was brutal, she felt compelled to move forward. One foot in front of the other, until...

The 'call' became deafening, a cacophony.

Looking up, she beheld the outline of something...old...full of life. A mountain?

A temple?

As Kyi trekked through the snow, he turned and looked over his shoulder "How're you doing, Exdee? Circuits frozen over yet?" Kyi jested which resulted in an annoyed couple of beeps from his droid companion, "You'd have been bored on the ship anyway." he said, rolling his eyes. After a few moments, the freckle-faced Jedi Knight could see the Jedi Temple a short distance away - which brought back a series of memories from six-years-ago, back when he didn't have a scar going along his left cheek, back when he was more innocent to the galaxy's dangers. Kyi remembered coming here, escorted by a Jedi Knight that was long since dead, he remembered the Knight staying behind on the ship as finding his Kyber crystal was something only Kyi had to do alone.

"Whoooop?" Exdee chirped, snapping Kyi out of his trip down memory lane "What? Oh, sorry bud. I was just thinking about some stuff." he responded, still sort of out of it. As he got closer to the temple, he felt something, someone. He could tell the difference between the Force essence of the Kyber crystals and this wasn't it - he sensed someone else on the planet, a Force-sensitive like him. He didn't sense the Dark Side however, so he was relieved to know it wasn't a Sith or some Dark Jedi here - but he'd still have to be cautious.

After what felt like forever, Kyi finally arrived at the Jedi Temple which resulted in a relieved chirp from Exdee -
"Don't worry, it's warmer inside." he said, reassuring Exdee. The Jedi Temple looked as big as it did that day six-years ago, it made sense since it was built around the Kyber crystal caves which gave it an added sense of scale. However, Kyi noticed some parts of the temple's were frozen over - probably because some Jedi hadn't been here in a long time...Kyi would have to find another way inside.

Trembling lips and chattering teeth.

Oddly reassuring, given the alternative of feeling warm in the cold, and tired, was often a sign of no return. No. Tsara took comfort, a literal cold comfort, in being chilled and wide awake as ever. Still alive and shaking in place. Boots enveloped up to the calves, knees quaking, arms hugging her serape close to her person, Tsara twitched her Leeku to keep circulation in them as she squinted at the temple, taking it in and the 'sounds' from it.

Maybe it was the howling wind on top of this that made the whole thing so overwhelming.

Odzerah felt close, claustrophobic with everyone practically on top of each other, perhaps purposefully, to generate the aggression and conflict necessary for forging good little Sith. This structure, as Tsara wasn't sure whether it was a Temple, was different. She could tell from the outside that the structure was likely vast and open within.

It felt like Ossus, the Jedi habitation there her only frame of reference for this place being a similar kind of place.

Jedi, apparently, learned in caves. Sith not much different as Odzerah wasn't much more than a hollowed out rock in space orbiting around some fringe world she couldn't clearly recall at the moment. Her feelings were on the present, reaching out into the Force with them, meditating on the Strange Call.

...and found...

Tsara's eyes shot open, and she turned to her left, seeing the presence that seemed to have 'touched' her through the Force. A figure in the distance with a burden on the back.

She waved.

"CHuuUUUuuBAAAaaa!!!" she called out in Ryl.

Before Kyi could even begin thinking of another way inside, he felt that presence again, although it was more persistent - as if it were closer or something? That's when he heard a faint cry in the distance. ""CHuuUUUuuBAAAaaa!!!" was what he heard, "Chuba"? He pondered, wasn't that a curse word? Who's out here on Ilum cussing at him? Kyi turned his head to his right, to the origin of the call and spotted...what looked like a Twi'lek in the distance but he couldn't be sure. The figure was waving at him, which caused him to awkwardly wave back. At least they were friendly. "Deet?" Exdee asked, the droid was just as confused as Kyi apparently, the Jedi Knight shrugged in response to Exdee's question and began approaching the figure in the distance as he hadn't sensed any form of hostility from them.

The figure's features became more visible to the eye as Kyi got closer and closer. It was a Twi'lek he saw, a female one at that and was completely surprised at the fact she was wearing only a serape to protect herself from the cold, surely she'd get some kind of frostbite from this right? He wasn't knowledgeable enough in Twi'lek physiology to actually know the answer to this question though. When the Jedi was in close enough distance to reach out and shake her hand - he noticed her green skin and sad deep blue eyes and a scar on her left cheek, which reminded him very much of his own.

"What're you doing here?" was the only question he had on his mind right now. He wasn't sure if he was a newly inducted Jedi or not as he hadn't been to Jedha or any of the Jedi safe havens in a while but if she was, what was she doing here? Jedi Initiates never usually came to Ilum to build their lightsabers this early on. Although, the Jedi could theorise all he wanted, he wouldn't get the true answer until the Twi'lek actually answered him, so overthinking was pretty much useless at this point.

Good question.

She still wasn't sure about any of this. Remembering Iden's appearance, and the battle she fought with her on Ossus, Tsara was able to make a decent guess that she was looking at a Jedi. The question still unanswered, Tsara looked up at the temple, and hoped her adversarial ally would give her an answer, but all she could perceive was the call, and still wasn't sure of it.

She turned back to Kyi, and shook her head.

"I have no idea..."

She managed with chattering teeth.

"But as long as it cries like this, I won't know peace..." she added, sidling close to the Jedi, trying to get some of the warmth he and the droid on his back were radiating.

"My name is Tsara Tarr; I need to get inside...whatever that place is!" she yelled over the howling, icy gale, looking up into Kyi's face, her sad eyes sunken, with bags beneath them from sleep lost.

Full of pleading.

"Please...PLEASE, HELP me!"

Tsara was drained, like she'd recounted a sweeping epic orally. Not being one to talk, she had no choice but to beg for help; whatever the cosmos demanded of her at the moment could only be satisfied once she passed within the walls, into the chambers of the very structure before her, and she could see no way in.

It was need now.

A need to make the call stop.

A need for silence.

Kyi backed away slightly with his arms raised and showing his palms, as the Twi'lek, who introduced herself as Tsara Tarr, got a little too close to him. "Uh...I'm Kyi. Kyi Wavestrider. Nice to meet you, I guess?" he said, returning the introduction which resulted in an annoyed beep from Exdee "And this is Exdee. He's a little cranky today." Tsara then went on to plead for help from the Jedi which confused him as much as he did. Was this what the Force dragged him here for? To help this girl? Ugh, the Force really did confuse him but either way, he could sense the turmoil in her and couldn't just not help her, it would have gone against everything he stood for.

Placing his arms up again,
"Alright, alright. I'll help you." he said with a sigh, before returning his gaze to the Jedi Temple before them. "The main entrance has been frozen over though, we'll have to find another way in." the Jedi took a few moments to think of an alternate route and after some deliberation, Kyi remembered that there was a secret entrance a few feet up the mountain that connected to the Temple. They'd have to climb it though, Kyi was a decent climber due to his Force augmentation as well as allowing the Force to subconsciously guide him up the mountain.

Realising he had left Tsara in complete silence as he was thinking to himself, he snapped back to reality and turned his gaze toward the green Twi'lek and awkwardly smiled, unsure of how she'd react to this new development.
"I know a way into the Temple, but...we'll have to climb it."

The warmth Tsara felt now was from a realization that there was still an...innocence...to the man before her. The way he backed away from her was a bit uncommon as far as male reactions went when it came to her proximity. Most men never felt like she was violating their personal space, and vice versa, men often had no qualms with violating hers.

It was rather sweet, the unexpected respect. This Kyi Wavestrider was a man with a good heart. In a galaxy short on paladin souls, and filled to the brim with scoundrels. Tsara appreciated the privilege of being next to a man that didn't immediately take interest in her looks, and how to enjoy them.

Climbing, he'd explained.

Tsara looked up at the Temple with more than reluctance. The structure appeared a treacherous face to climb to say the least, but Kyi expressed, with hesitation, that it was possible to do so. Maybe it wasn't too high up they would have to climb, and just a matter of a single story to be mounted, or two more after that to be gained.

Never hurts to ask...

"How high?"

The freckle-faced Knight sensed a slight hesitation in the Twi'lek, he didn't blame her, but she attempted to feign confidence by asking how high they had to go which impressed him slightly, her willingness to do something she didn't want to but needed to. Kyi looked up the cliff again, just to get a sense of its scale before returning his gaze to Tsara "Not too high...a short climb actually. Come on." he said with a small smile. Kyi took a small step toward the ice cave's wall and took a small leap and wrapped his fingers around a deep crack in the wall - the Jedi Knight called upon the Force to guide his movement and allow his instincts to locate the cracks and crevices he could use to gain more height and stabilise himself.

Kyi climbed a few metres, periodically checking on Tsara to make sure she was doing well. Usually Kyi had no issues with scaling walls or buildings but the cold temperature caused his fingers to stiffen up, which made it much harder to climb - he couldn't imagine how Tsara felt, considering she was barely wearing anything in this harsh weather. The Jedi Knight stopped for a moment, looking down to Tsara
"How're you doing? Almost there!" he called out, which was followed by an acknowledging chirp from Exdee.

Finally, after what felt like forever - the Jedi and the Twi'lek made it to the rock formation that made a small incline among the otherwise large Temple-mountain. They had made it just in time as a blizzard was approaching. Kyi pointed toward a small entrance that lead into a dark unknown
"This is it." he said as he walked toward the entrance. Upon entering the cave's alternate entrance, everything was pitch black which forced the Jedi to ignite his blue lightsaber to use as a light source, he then began making his way through the temple. He turned to Tsara, who's green face was illuminated by the blue glow of his lightsaber, "I sense the Force within you. Do you belong to anything? Or...?" he queried, unsure of where his question would actually lead - he figured he may as well use this time to learn more about his new Twi'lek acquaintance.

Belong to anything?

Good Question.

Tsara had no ready answer for it; she belonged to no one anymore. And hadn't belonged to anything for several long years. At that exact moment, she was simply happy to be out of the elements. The contrast of the outside tempest and the interior, deep dark of the Temple was considerable. She actually felt warm! Kyi felt the Force within her though, and something of an answer would have to be given for it.

Almost an existential question, Tsara's reply was a philosophical counter, of sorts.

"I belong to whatever has you, too..."

And she drew her practice saber, given to her on Ossus by Atraxis. Atraxis, and his being an active Sith Acolyte she would avoid mentioning; in fact, she would try to keep herself to a minimum in conversation as a rule. The snap-hiss from thumbing the power was almost intoxicating, as the sound was accompanied by warmth and a blast of bright blue rays. She should have activated it while she was outside in the knifing gales, but she found the weapon...tedious. There was much want from, and for, the object every time she observed it with her eyes or graced it with her hand.

One side of the Force wanted her hands at the call.

The other? Well the other...

Her thoughts trailed off as she turned to face Kyi. "These do make nice torches..."

Tsara's response was thought provoking, "I belong to whatever has you, too..." - did she mean she was a servant of the light? Or was she a Jedi? Kyi shrugged, if she was vague he assumed she didn't want to disclose any information about herself, which was fair enough, she didn't know him. Kyi's eyes travelled to the Twi'lek's training saber - his right eyebrow raised, where'd she get a training saber from? Either way, the light from both of the blue sabers was welcoming.

Kyi laughed at Tsara's claims regarding the lightsabers efficiency as a light source
"Right." he responded lightheartedly before continuing his way down the dark cave. The Jedi saw some light in the distance though, natural light, they must have been getting closer to the Jedi temple which made Kyi turn his head toward Tsara - "We're almost here." he informed, as he began to pick up the pace toward the light at the end of the cave.

Reaching the end of the tunnel, the Jedi deactivated his lightsaber before walking through the cave's entrance. Kyi looked upward, toward several openings which allowed the natural light to shine through and into the temple. He seemed to be at the heart of the call but... he still wasn't sure what its reasoning was - but then, he turned to look at the young Twi'lek standing beside him. Maybe... maybe, the Force brought them here together, maybe Tsara was here so she could understand more about the Force and Kyi was here to help her understand.

"What do you know about the Force?" the freckle-face Jedi asked.

Kyi Wavestrider was full of challenging questions, apparently. But again, this question was a good question. What she knew came solely from what she'd felt, and experienced. The way she'd been trained in unorthodox formats of the dark and light. Her mother pursued a Jedi ideal, and died with it after passing on some of what she believed to her. Ko'Varna and Atrox had taught her to hold the hate close at Odzerah, one's own and that of others, to make it a catalyst to become strong in the Darkside. She used the closeness and intimacy of the Odzerah Installation to turn everyone against the other.

But that was less a Force thing. That was all her, and her words...she hoped and believed stronger than anything else, anyways. None would convince her otherwise. Language was a deadly, ubiquitous 'force' all its own!

Then there was Atraxis, and Iden. On Ossus she'd learned from them both, and presently, Atraxis instructed her, but not in the fine points of Sith Dogma, but in what the Force could do when channeled. Deactivating her Lightsaber, she felt like the call was less raucous in this vast, bright chamber. She'd answered it, answered the call, so now it was in abeyance. She breathed a tired, relieved sigh with shut eyes before opening them, turning her head up to take in the light from above.

She thought briefly in the silence at the heart of the call.

Then...

"The Force concedes to the Sith as if they were a crying infant, and flows through the Jedi as if they were a channel, a river, naturally, but with me it wrestles. It is no friend. It is at home in resisting, arguing, fighting. The Force is my adversary that I can only ever win peace with, but..."

And Tsara paused, looking rather transfixed in her staring up at the ceiling.

"...It never leaves me, never abandons me. I always feel it. In everything vibrant and mundane...and it has saved me more than once..."

The Twi'lek's response was... interesting to say the least - her analogy of the Force was different from what he had others described, she had never met another Force user who had actually called it an 'adversary' to them. As they stood at the second or third level inside the main chamber of the Jedi Temple, Kyi noticed the two large Jedi statues and looked for them to guidance in a way - he wasn't sure how to tackle explaining the Force, or explaining his view of the Force to someone inexperienced to it. For so lone he had been the student, learning from those with more experience, but now the time had come for him to use the knowledge taught to him to teach someone else.

"I think you view the Force in a negative light. The Force has, and never will be our adversary." he said as he clipped his lightsaber to his belt. "The Force is the greatest ally a Jedi, or even a Sith, could have. You mentioned yourself that it's save you more than once right?" he asked, hoping the Twi'lek would evaluate his words slightly before he continued "The Force is an extension of us... it allows us to connect and understand the galaxy around us. When you feel this adversity..." he chose his next few words carefully, unsure if he would offend Tsara or... if what he would say was even correct "Could it be possible that it is an adversity you feel within yourself?"

The Force did indeed work in mysterious ways, any Force-sensitive knew this but, it being an adversary to another Force user was completely unheard of but nonetheless, it was interesting. Suddenly, Kyi felt something else, the presence of another nearby...

Racaiya knew Ilum was far from Kuat, but she never imagined it would take this long. However, she knew that her journey had to begin here; She was too ill-equipped for her journey and needed something to defend herself with. Her ship, the "IZone" was worn down and struggled throughout the trip. Approaching Ilum, the ship began to shake viciously; Small pieces of the ship would begin falling apart. The "IZone" has been idle for more than two years, it was a mystery how it didn't blow up Racaiya had hoped to find a clearing to land, but she feared that there would be nothing left of her ship or her if she waited.

Unlucky once again, Racaiya finds herself flying through a snowstorm "Damn this weather." she thought to herself. It was nearly impossible to see where she was flying, so Racaiya decided to slow down and fly low. However, she managed to clip what seemed to be the top of a mountain and her ship began to nosedive into a large area of snow. A loud bang could be heard following a small tremor after the crash.

Tsara nodded, seeing Kyi look away as if hearing something.

"The fault has to be with me, otherwise the Force would lov-!?!"

Stopping mid sentence, Tsara felt a rumble after a shriek and muffled crash. The Twi'lek looked at Kyi, then back the way they'd come, hand going to her holster, and thumbing the safety of her hold-out blaster. A soft whine followed, indicating it was now ready to spit cohesive light.

Drawing the weapon, holding it barrel up to the ceiling, Tsara reached out with her feelings, sensing something...maybe someone, upset through the Force.

"That was no avalanche, nor a meteor crash..."

Coupled with sensing another presence, he also felt the rumble, followed by a loud crashing in the distance. Tsara must have heard it too as they both exchanged concerned looks - okay, was this what the Force had drawn them here for? Whatever the kriff that loud noise was outside? The Jedi removed his lightsaber from his belt and held it firmly, thumg hovering over its switch. Tsara mentioned it was no avalanche, nor a meteor crash - she was right as they could both sense the presence of another, who was probably the one involved with the crash.

"Let's go." he called out. As he led the two back toward the way the came and all the way out to the small cliff side. Kyi placed his hand over his forehead, searching for where the sound came from. "Beeeeeep!" Exdee wailed in a high volume which caused Kyi's head to flinch from the sudden loud noise, he then realised what Exdee was hollering for as he finally spotted smoke in the distance through the blizzard. He looked down to ground level below as he closed his eyes and leapt off of the cliff side - using the Force to slow down the speed of his fall and to guide his land on to the ground.

Using Force augmentation to reduce the amount of punishment from landing, he looked up at the Twi'lek and motioned for her to follow as he ran as fast as he could toward the smoke through the heavy snow and blizzard - resisting the harsh wind's desire to push him over.

Kyi had performed a beautiful Force Vault, and beckoned her to follow, as if expecting her to do what he did. Tsara shivered, groaned quietly, then holstered her weapon. She began to scale her way down, and once she reached the deep snow, shivered again, trudging after Kyi at a much slower pace than he was making with a droid on his back.

The Force was strong in him. She could feel it driving him, his steps, invigorating his muscles and fortifying his stamina. Tsara had managed this on a more meager level over the years. If she let the Force 'swirl' around her, she noticed a distinct surge of vigor. Nothing like what she was witnessing now though. The Jedi and Sith really were awe inspiring when they became fully realized. Capable of doing big and small feats with significant ease, it appeared.

A thrill of envy, and jealousy shot through Tsara, but she banished it. Matters of want, desire, and inadequacy had to be ignored to address what was at hand. The present should never be sacrificed to thoughts of falling terribly short of one's personal ideals...

A crashed ship, smoking profusely, loomed large as they closed the distance, flaming parts, and burning fragments surrounded the still "largely" together main hull. It didn't look like any sort of explosion was imminent...hopefully, but haste was definitely in order regardless.

Pulling her Serape close around her, Tsara's teeth chattered as she reactivated her training saber for warmth.

Time to find out what poor soul, if alive, had crashed.

Though unconscious, Racaiya could hear a voice talking in a random pattern; a stream of consciousness. The voice grew louder and louder, and as if reaching a climax it commanded Racaiya to wake up. She jolted up, still in the pilot seat. The lights were cut off; The interior only being lit by the occasional sparks from the computer systems. Racaiya had no time to rest though, she could sense two people moving towards her position. One of the presences felt rather connected with the force, the other felt weak. "The sith master and his new apprentice.." she thought to herself.

Racaiya, now beginning to panic, rose from her chair and prepared for a fight. Her outfit wasn't well suited for the blizzard outside, but she had to make do with what she had. Racaiya lifted up the collar of her cape to help cover her face a bit, grabbed her training saber, and made her way to the ship's entrance. Knowing she had no choice but to fight, she would attempt to launch a surprise attack.

Kyi and Tsara had finally arrived at the source of the smoke, revealing a crash shipped - parts of debris being scattered across the snowy plane. Now in closer proximity, Kyi could tell the other presence he felt was that of a Force-sensitive and they were inside the ship, although, he didn't sense the Dark Side and in fact sensed the opposite; the light. Kyi felt a little more at ease knowing this may be an ally and hopefully even a Jedi.

The freckled Jedi closed his eyes and outstretched his arm, palm aimed at the crashed ship's loading ramp and called upon the Force - he felt the loading ramp's internal components rattle as he touched them with the Force before finally clenching his fist and yanking the ramp out of place, pulling it down completely, causing pieces of snow to scatter around as it slammed hard into the ground. With the ramp now down, he saw a young girl, probably a teenager even, already waiting at the ramp's entrance and she looked as if she was a cornered animal ready to pounce on her attackers.

Sensing the panic and hostility radiating from the girl inside the ship and quickly outstretched both of his hands defensively. "Wait!" he called out "We aren't here to hurt you" he said, hoping that the girl would believe him and not attack him and Tsara.

Racaiya stood her ground, staring the two strangers down. Her masters had taught her that sith were masters of deception, so she continued to be wary. Using the force to levitate many of the objects within the ship, Racaiya walked down the ramp. She manipulated the objects to float around her, and she was prepared to launch the objects toward the two. However, she took a closer glance towards the two strangers; Their eyes appeared normal unlike the sith that attacked her. Continuing to keep the objects afloat for protection, Racaiya spoke: "Ignite your sabers. Show me the color of them."

Racaiya was taught that all, or at least the majority, of sith have red lightsabers; The one that attacked her on Kuat also had a red lightsaber. The sith she faced on Kuat was rather weak in the force, so Racaiya has no grasp on what the presence of a dark-side user is compared to a light-side user. Racaiya reasoned that this was the best way for her to know. If either of the two hesitated to show their sabers, she would immediately hurl the objects toward them and prepare to fight.
