Early Career​



Born and raised in Chandrila, Steela embarked on her political journey soon after completing her education in civics and politics at Theed University in the idyllic world of Naboo. Despite being brought up in privilege and wealth, Steela started to question the fairness of wealth inequality both on Chandrila and across the broader galaxy.

For much of her teenage years, she spent most of her free time studying galactic history, politics, languages— you name it. Anything that helped her understand the intricate social dynamics of the galaxy; past, present and future. It was within this period that her passion for politics blossomed, fueling her aspirations of making Chandrila a better place for all.

During her extensive tenure in the Chandrilan Planetary Government, she actively emphasised the importance of eradicating poverty to improve the lives of ordinary citizens. She frequently advocated for the expansion of public services and all-inclusive social security for all Chandrilans who required them. Many of these initiatives significantly enhanced the standard of living for the average Chandrilan, which is an accomplishment she takes great pride in.

In spite of heavy opposition from many of her fellow politicians within the government itself, Steela enjoyed continuous public approval throughout her political career, especially her famed theory of the Chandrilan Model. After much consideration, her widespread support ultimately motivated her to pursue the position of Senator for Chandrila in hopes of representing the interests of her people in the Galactic Senate.

T I M E L I N E​

158 ABY — The People's Senator

Senator Steela Bol of Chandrila. She waited with bated breath as the results of the election came pouring in during the early morning hours after election day. The air was crisp and the breeze could cut if it weren't for the long winter trenchcoat the newly elected Senator was wearing, her victory still unbeknownst to her. Perhaps it was anxiety or the overwhelming hope to succeed— she aimlessly paced around the courtyard of her family's estate. This was the moment she dreamt of for decades, yet she couldn't get herself to just go inside and risk learning of her potential loss. It was an uncharacteristic moment for Steela. She wasn't usually the one to weep from failure and give up. No, she was a steadfast and dedicated individual, one who worked immensely hard to get to where she is today. Yet, she still doubted herself. Despite all her successes, merits and achievements, she still often felt like she should do more whether it was possible or not...
