Affiliation:
Sith Brotherhood

Ownership: Internecion

Intent: This armor is for personal use of the character Internecion as well as use for the Sith Brotherhood faction as a whole. Likewise, versions of the armor will be mass produced and sold on the black market, by Internecion as well, so marketing and the sale of it is also in the horizon(both Sith and SBZ use and mass production for black market all without Phrik in creation, for obvious financial reasonability). This is different from most combat | stealth (as stealthy as it can get without a personal cloaking system) armor in it’s utility of an energy dampener aerosol system, coupled with an infrared motion sensor array.

Model: I.E.S.A. (Interchangeable Exo-Skeleton Armor) MK II Penumbra

Weight: 35 Kg

Composition: Bonded Stygian-Triprismatic Polymer (light/sound warping properties), Exonium (energy channeling properties), and Ostrine (properties absorb great amounts of heat); Phrik in Select Regions (Helmet, Bracers, and Pauldrons)

Rating: Resistant to Kinetic, Energy, Thermal, Sonic. Vulnerable to Acid/Corrosive, Cryo/Cold, Electricity. Able to sustain damage on the level of combat/stealth armor equal to it’s weight and type.

Description: Originally created to better mask his identity and mystify the battlefield (frequently trading pieces of the armor set out possessing a number of different helmets to suggest to his enemies there are more then one of him) Internecion’s interchangeable armor is primarily made of Bonded Stygian-Triprismatic Polymer; elements of Exonium present as well the material was conducive to energy - while the armor retained inflicted damage as any armor of it’s grade normally would it also redirected additional energy to the armor system’s automated technology’s concealed power sources with any energy-based damage sustained. Sculpted to resemble Armorply plating, giving increased flexibility of user’s movement, the combat armor fashioned as a mesh of bonded alloy fiber plating and a padded blast resistant bodyglove flight suit underneath.

*Features:

Helmet Functions:

-Stress reinforced blast helmet with built-in macrobinocular viewplate offering variety of vision settings, including infrared, pineal eye sensor/internal overlay display provide tracking intel and 360 degree radius; situational awareness. Encrypted internal comlink and broad-band antenna tied to personal swoop, various droids, starship, and Sith intelligence relay beacons. Can be magnified to see great distances, and infrared scanner magnifies light up to 100 times or displays heat gradations. Audio and visual sensors capable of sophisticated passive light amplification(flash grenade countermeasure), thermal signature reading, ultrasound pickup, millimeter wave emissions(imaging device fed to HUD used for detecting objects concealed underneath a person’s clothing using a form of electromagnetic radiation; active invisible scanners direct millimeter wave emissions at subject in radius and interpret reflected energy, also sensors display images to HUD using ambient radiation or radiation emitted from the human body or objects), video capture, and other common optical enhancements; provides wearer with increased awareness of their surroundings granting user vision in fog, darkness, smoke, or other inhibiting conditions.-The helmet's broad band antenna is capable of intercepting and unscrambling comlink and starship comm transmissions. Also, with assistance from his ships computer, jamming transmissions or sending fake transmissions, even while not in his ship.

-At the top of the antenna is a rangefinder capable of tracking up to 30 targets from a distance of 100 meters. The rangefinder feeds data to a display overlay inside the helmet showing range and movement for targets in a 360 degree radius. The overlay also links weapons systems to display fire vector and range data. The rangefinder can be deployed horizontally or vertically.

-On board targeting system included in rangefinder - additional battle computer settings control the suit’s weaponry, sensor system, and magnetized/jetpack thruster boots through automated service or biometrics (in the form of blinks, eye and facial movements).

Sealed Blast Resistant Flight Suit:

-Acts as environmental filter system for oxygen and appropriate moisture in cases where it is required, sealed environment and atmosphere filter, automated sensor-functional vacuum seals to protect in gravity well, vacuum of space, or otherwise toxic environment holding a 24 hour reserve supply of oxygen, in addition to the limited ability of filtering the environment’s air (toxic or otherwise) into usable oxygen. Limited, will ultimately drain power source if filtration system is used for a length of time.

-Magnetized rocket boots.

Integrated Stealth and Defensive Countermeasure Modules:

-Energy Dampener Aerosol Jet Dispersal System; dampener aerosol was a gas that came in a can for dispersal, upon dispersal created a cloud of blaster-dispersing gas that gave concealment for the user and provided some energy absorption protection - each can had enough gas for three uses - producing a blue gas that dampened blaster fire to a painful slap instead of a full blast obscuring the user in a two meter cloud, lasting 60 seconds in ample wind conditions. When activated small collapsible jets would elongate from the suit’s midsection’s flanks, one canister housed on either side. Overall the jets deployed 2 canisters with each use, giving the suit a total of 3 users before refueling. Integrated was a particular infrared motion sensor/tracking sensor array, employing targeting infrared motion sensor software that had prediction algorithms guiding other sensors to employ emergency energy dampening aerosol system collaborating with 30 feet of the motion sensor array; the dampener aerosol triggered if HUD processed user to be preoccupied with another assailant opposite from the ‘threat’s’ direction (from either flank, or back direction), employing dispersal of energy dampening aerosol depending on detection of sources of heat, motion, and energy signatures in a three meter radius around the user, if such detection was found in the radius faster then 1 meter per second which the sensors were programmed to deduce as a threat. Used as a defense against snipers and other hidden agendas.

-Coating of photosensitive microscopic crystalline mineral over outer armor plating which reflected the ambient colors of anything around it; giving the suit camouflage properties which rendered it extremely difficult to see in ordinary vision, able to be turned on and off using electrical pulses throughout. Stygian-triprismatic polymer(harvested from Maramere in the Karthakk sector of the Outer Rim) harder form of duraplast the mineral is capable of enhancing portable stealth fields and sonic dampeners. This alloy’s bonded properties in the outer armor plating coupled with the photosensitive microscopic crystalline coating have an effect where the material seems to wrap light around it’s surface, aiding to obscure the suit in ordinary vision even to one standing directly infront of it when electrical pulses were active; a sonic dampening field activating with the turning over of the electrical pulses over armor’s outer plating, installed to block the noise of servomotors and micro-repulsors which added the effect of shielding the wearer against extremes in sonic frequencies resulting from even the system’s own sonic-based weaponry in the form of counter-wave nullifiers dispersed from dampening fields should suit’s sensors detect sonic energy overcharge. In the form of a sonic blaster set to kill, the armor would have ordinary defenses to it as any other armor of it’s class, adding protection in passive or stun modules of sonic weaponry.

Integrated Offensive Weaponry:

-Miniaturized flamethrower, sonic energy generators, and magnetically charged gel-adhesive projector mounted on bracers. NOTE: Only able to outfit one item on each bracer at a time. Each attachment removable and interchangeable. Left availability; higher mounted miniaturized flame thrower (5 meter arc range), lower mounted miniaturized sonic energy generator (sonic hold-out blaster); able to be calibrated to a number of effects such as a sonic blast which could deal damage comparable to a hold-out blaster the energy bolt effectively bending or arcing around lightsabers in locked positions characterized by the sonic blasters, or sonic stun which delivered a cone-shaped pulse that could incapacitate opponents, with a 3 meter range in stun setting the cone of disabling sonic energy would be a half meter wide. Effectiveness of stun setting dependent on hearing capabilities and senses of target, stun setting can likewise be calibrated further to simply generate a concussive shock wave effect, capable of sending an average human flying a short distance or if utilized correctly to disarm an opponent. Right availability; higher mounted magnetically charged gel-projector having a range of three meters; the gel of a highly flamable chemical make-up once ejected is akin to super-adhesive - once the adhesive hardens to a target a chemical reaction occurs in the gel and the catalyst results in a highly flamable “sticky grenade” effect, spreading a chemical fire and thermal energy over the target burning at a rapid pace, lower mounted miniaturized sonic energy generator (sonic hold-out blaster) of previously stated properties and range.

-Integral line slinger|liquid cable launcher (held under back plate must be removed and aimed) with attached magnetic grapple|winch, launches liquid that immediately solidifies into tough yet lightweight and flexible monofilament cable upon exposure to most habitable atmospheres. Range up to 30 meters.

-Paralysis Cord, concealed in either knee guard.

OOC: I have this in here, because I’m curious of your ruling on it, tho it would be cool to walk into blaster fire, I thought completely dissipaiting the blaster bolts were over powered, otherwise I would have gone in the direction of the Ves and Corenth in the armor, instead of energy dampener aerosol.

--A3AA personal defense module, through micro-nozzle spray system the A3AA sprayed a mixture of refined corenth with trace amounts of ves at command. This generated a five-meter-diameter cloud round the user, any charged energy beam-including blaster bolts and lasers-touching the cloud was automatically dispersed, saving the wearer from being damaged by it. The cloud would last for four minutes, or less if wind conditions were unfavorable. An optional setting directed the cloud in a 30-degree conical shape in front of the wearer, offering protection in which case the user could theoretically walk toward people shooting at him. --

or units of measurement are in metric so you need to change the weight.

Stealth armour normally offer next to no protection. at best you restraint vs pistol and glancing blows from melee weapons.

I'm not the tech admin to give a ruling on this, but here are my thoughts on this, and I'm fairly convinced Clayton will think much the same, we tend to chat a lot.

First of all, true cloaking systems, like your "optical shield" are banned. So that'll have to go. The helmet is far, far, far too advanced for anything in this timeline, with far too many features.

Energy field projector in the armour will most likely have to be removed, as it's severely overpowered, especially with the other metric ton of gadgets you've tried to cram into this.

De-ionizers will most likely have to go as well, as it removes one of the major weaknesses of your armour and keeps it in God-Mode.

Yeah, with all the other tech already in this, and the fact that this suit is already quite heavily armoured, having an aerosol dispersal system that'll render blaster bolts rather ineffective will probably have to go, especially if you consider that this suit'll be worn by a Sith, whom already have an anti-blaster method built in. (It's called a lightsaber.)

Infrared scanner with motion prediction and all sorts of wonkyness will probably also have to be nixed, as it'd require too much proccessing power and data storage than your helmet, which is already overloaded with tech, could possibly handle, and it's somewhat overpowered as it is.

Chameleon crystals... eeeh, I'll defer to Clayton on that one, as it's not technically active stealth like your "optical shield".

Biorestorative underlay will have to go, as Clayton just ruled on another armour that had such a system to be overpowered.

Automated, shoulder-mounted, repeater... yeah, no. I'm quite certain that Clayton wouldn't ever have allowed it, as not only is it extremely overpowered (again, especially when you consider that a Sith will be wearing this walking invisible, proof-against-anything, tank) but it's also more than a little silly.

Bracers that can either take a sonic cannon, a flamethrower, AND a napalm projector... coupled with all of the above? And Force Powers and a lightsaber? Yeah, while again, I won't presume to speak for Clayton, I can pretty much guarantee you that he won't approve that.

Cable launcher: No issues here. Carry on, citizen.

Paralysis cord... I'll have to defer to Clayton on that one too, but it seems OP for a Sith wearing this thing. But, that's just my thoughts.

Personal Defense module... see my notes on the aerosol, except be even more certain that Clayton won't approve of it.

Barring Kiro's specific, in-depth and very helpful summary of why specific items aren't going to fly, I can summarise why you may not get approval for this.

It gives your character too much of an advantage over others.

Purdy much.

Of course, this is also my effort to get formal rulings on each individual piece of technology as well - so I know where to tone what down, know what I mean? As I get these opinions, can I get suggestions based on the reality of each individual technology piece - rather then ruling on them all put together? I posted this expecting to dramatically have to tone it down (especially considering the helmet, all of your input is immensely helpful too please don't misinterpret!) but keep in mind, I'd like to know what out right is too much (such as the shoulder-repeater - I some-what expected that) and what is too much based on the sheer over loading factor of the armor as a whole (for example the infrared motion sensor, def too much with all the other crap ton of attachments; but if the armor was severely toned down could it be allowed; and obviously in this case, if the energy aerosol dispersal system wouldn't be allowed, then there wouldn't be much sense in toning down the helmet to include it), I simply don't want to rule out some useful ways to mold the armor based on wrong assumptions of the feedback I might make.

Also, I thought only technology in armor which disrupted sensors was banned - I tried to mold the optical shield in a way that distorted it to visual, physical eye sight but totally useless to scanning or sensors; if I had read that rule wrong, my apologies for including it. Also apologies for not toning the helmet down if a resembling ruling had been made on an alternate piece of armor, I must have missed that while trying to stay up to date with rulings on tech board here.

One more thing, regarding the wrist-mounted attachments. I thought I noticed a wrist-mounted launcher system; for micro-missles, darts, etc. I tried to distinguish, in that plethora of things I listed(lol), he can only use one at a time - meaning a single miniaturized flame thrower on one arm, or just one hold-out sonic blaster on one bracer at a time. Not all at the same time, not at all; tried to distinguish they were interchangeable and he had to decide which to use for each engagement, I'm sorry if it wasn't in depth enough with what I actually put in the final copy.

This thing is like the Master Chief has a threesome with the Predator and Boba Fett. Kiro's post was a bit winded but hit the nail on the head the way a Marine drill instructor tears down a fresh recruit. If It were me I would start fresh and go back to the workshop.

I'd rather not abandon all the time I've put into this armor, without clearly defining what I can possibly still keep and use in it. @Taz. I need some concrete direction, or I feel like I've wasted my time, and everyone else's too, you know? For example, I think I spent a month scourging wookieepedia's limitless weapons/tech. categories sections, with mainly that dampener aerosol/a3aa defense module as the most interesting thing I could find which I didn't already have ideas about. lol

Took out combat de-ionizers because your right, I would like to have a major weakness. As well as the shoulder mounted repeater because your right, it is silly and people will start being reminded of Predator way too easily. lmao. I would edit out optical shield as well, because I could get something close with the crystalline photoreceptive coating and it'd be much more simple, but I thought the rules stated no cloaking devices that jam or block scanners or sensors; which lead me to think optical ones altering physical sight was permitted, otherwise I'd just edit that out now as be done with it - but I would like a straight up ruling on that, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, and if it is of course I can dig up the reference page myself I'm simply having trouble finding the specific part I'm looking for.

Also removed bio-restorative underlay, and micro-energy projector thing.

Check out the "Misc Rules" segment. It includes both complete sensor jamming AND genuine invisibility. Remember, we're set (roughly) 1000 years or so prior to Phantom Menace. Our technology would be much cruder than that of any of the movies.

To add to that, check out the new Timeline Technology thread. Generally, tech is supposed to be less focused on stuff like this.

I see I must have overlooked that in my excitement of creating this armor, or perhaps that was back before it was revised further I have been developing this for a while now. The optical shield is edited out as well, depending on the ruling of the photosensitive crystalline coating I may be putting more elaboration into that instead. Thanks for the ease of use with the link too, @Kiro and all the help, everyone else that's directed at as well. I will be minimizing the functions of the helmet in due time as well.

Internection, on the crystals here is my take. I had an armor that tried to use them last timeline with even less ability then what you stated and it got shot down. I had to change to where it basically worked like a fancy paint job. Judging by what I have seen so far there is little to no chance that would even fly. Also remember this is stealth armor. This thing even as it is now would be way heavier than that and would make so much noise that it wouldn't work. Remember the idea of stealth armor is to be as light as possible while still offering protection. I could add to what Kiro has said but I don't know if another page of edits would help you right now. I would suggest taking the helmet down many pegs as well as this whole armor. If not step back reread the Timeline tech sticky and the rules stick again and figure out if you power armor or stealth armor. If you go power armor route I wish you luck because Clayton in the past has very fairly set his expectations of power armor very high as in the past there was some very insane pieces of tech very similar to this.

Edit: It has been brought to my attention that Power Armor is a straight no go. So change that last remark to either making it heavy armor or stealth armor.

Hmm, but what left is there really to go in direction wise for stealth armor, if the photosensitive, Mist the bounty hunter styled armor is essentially more just for flash then function?

If I end up having to scratch any notion for stealth styled armor, should the dampener aerosol be permitted under more toned down and enforced circumstances (such as one use, then change power source and wait an obscene amount of time to recharge giving you essentially one use for any active RP), I'd rather almost go in the direction of battle armor w/ that as the main function.

Intern. The short and simple is this. You're Sith. You're starting as a fairly advanced Sith at that. You don't NEED any of this armour. Your own skills and connection to the Force is MORE than enough to give you whatever edge you could want, if you're a good writer.

If you want stealth you will have to go with some sort of sensor absorption and maybe some rubberizing around the joints if present. While forgoing the notion of actual invisibility. As for your gas system I don't think it will fly either I can't speak for Clayton but I feel that this would basically make you immune to all but Lightsabers given its heavy nature(the armor) and a gas that makes blasters next to useless.

if you want stealth get a suit that reduces or removes your IR signuter and reduces the noise you make

Thanks for the direction; in regard to the gas @Grim do you think that would be felt even after dramatically shortening it's uses, ie. one use per entire thread, makes gas that lasts 5 to 10 seconds that encompasses meter of his area or less, dissipaits in seconds and cant be used again. To that degree as well, the entire premise is too much?

I really think it comes down to the whole idea of it, Legends Cannon was full of stuff that when telling a story are just fine but when it comes to something like an RP break RPs. Even restricted, to me it just seems overkill after all you will be using it with heavy armor and making it so your armor could now take even more hits just seems to be unfair. I will leave it for @Clayton to rule on one way or another but I feel this is in the camp of Legends Cannon that should stay legends cannon.

Ok, I could have you go back and edit heavily based on stuff Kiro says and whatever else I find, but let me ask you this since there isn't much of an Intent section as to why it's needed. What, exactly, are you looking for in armor for your PC? What is the overriding purpose of it going to be?
