Good Morning one and all, all and one,
Every so often I make a tournament, sometimes they are serious and intense, othertimes they are...well, not so much. This is firmly in the latter category. I would like to welcome you all to the interest check and poll for The Cosmic Canto Tournament - easily the second of third worst of tournaments.
To be based on everyone's favorite gambling world, this will feature a series of playoffs, with randomly selected non-fatal games and challenges, the mechanics and rules of which will be worked on by me and any
- Zinbiddle - A Card game with a shed load of odd rules, this game would mostly be done through an online card game simulator.
- Sabacc and Pazaak - We know them, some of us love them. Good ol’ fashioned SW staples.
- Asteroid Billiards - Placed in an asteroid field, pilots fly droid-slaved fighters, and eliminate their rival. There is but one rule, you can only shoot at the asteroids.
- Bombarde - A more disruptive game. Asteroids are shot down by an automated cannon, onto a grid below. Players bet on which square they will land in. We will combine this with a swoop race meaning that, at the end of each post, the DM will move players along the ‘board’ based on their post, then roll to see if they get smashed by an asteroid.
- Death Hurdles - Not as fatal as it sounds. Players will run around a track, and must dodge obstacles as they do so. Obstacles are randomised and posted by a DM, with players betting on the number of obstacles each player can get past.
- Fathier Racing - Get a Fathier, and a saddle. DM will roll and add bonuses to the roll for each player at the end of each round, and then ‘move people’ across the board.
As an example of how racing would work. Say we have a Fathier race with 5 contestants.
In round one, each player posts a moderately good post. The DM will then roll a D6 for each player, and the ‘gates’ open, allowing fathiers to commence running. 6 would mean you are in front, 1 would mean you are at the back of the pack. The next round commences, and player Bob makes some daring stunt to pull out in front. The DM assesses his post and adds a modifier to his roll, so in the next DM post, everyone gets a D6 roll, with bob getting +1 to his roll for his ‘DARING AND BRAVERY!’ you dig?
Let me know who is interested, and who is not
Please note: In the absence of interest, all fathiers will be made into dog food.
