Serenno used to be a popular spot for independent midline cargo haulers. Especially after that war that had its economy ruined and countless nobles began selling their art collections for a fraction of what they were worth. Kal had seen some of that cargo when he first joined the crew of the Omani Gamble seven years ago and Serenno had always remained a fond memory. It didn't quite surprise him that with an intergalactic Empress as their Grand Countess the planet was thriving again, but what did was the fact that Eice (@AutoFox) was right about the uncompromising monopoly on shipping, starlines and port maintenance that Blackrow Hyperlogistics had acquired and now fiercely defended. His request to do business there with the Omani Gamble was quickly dismissed and the duty-officer made clear that no non-Blackrow or non-Imperial ship would find a port-of-call on Serenno soil.

However unfortunate, that didn't mean Kal was going to let that stop him. Having recently acquired an IFF Spoofer all he needed to do business despite the Blackrow monopoly was the automatic identification data from an already existing Blackrow-operated midline cargo hauler. Sounds easy, right? Right.. both Kal and Eice were by now really hoping that it was.

Kal was wearing his usual Ord Mantellian tunic with CUPA light armor underneath and the holdout-blaster tucked out of sight beneath his shirt. If they got caught it wouldn't be any use trying to fight their way out, not on an Imperial world at least, so their best bet was simply not getting caught. The disguise of simple spaceport repair and maintenance workers was the most low cost -seeing as they both already looked the part- and would get them to all the places they needed. A Blackrow guard uniform would raise eyebrows when they neared the ships and an Imperial soldier probably didn't get into the hangar at all. Seeing the Tintinna's size there wasn't much room for creative disguises anyway...

"This is the last time I let Mon'Ica prepare my lunch-" Kal complained loudly as they made their way to the Blackrow operated midline cargo hangar, "-she put in a pack of Bantha milk, Binka fruit and this sweetened bread-" his face looked like he had just taken a mouthful of salt, conveniently timed with them passing Blackrow Hangar security. who looked at them with a hint of suspicion but let them pass anyway. "-while all I want after four hours of my head inside a hyperdrive is a good juicy D'Astan Chicken burger."

Eice Frex walked beside Kal, dressed in what had - until her termination of employment - been her daily uniform for most of her life. The Tintinna held a large-screen tablet datapad, and wore the white malashet blouse and black synthsilk miniskirt of a Blackrow office drone. Her forged credentials, hanging on a lanyard around her neck, proclaimed her to be a loadmaster in the employ of the company; it helped that she already owned the uniform, and of course, that she had already lived the part.

She looked around as they walked, trying not to let the emotion show on her face.

Blackrow had done very well in their alliance with the Sith. Exclusive rights to shipping to and from many Sith-controlled worlds had swelled their coffers considerably, not to mention their power. In this spaceport alone, Eice knew, there had been terminals for dozens, maybe hundreds of smaller firms, not to mention the independent ships that came and went beholden to no government of company. All that was gone, replaced by the drab, corporate edifices of Blackrow.

"You know, lack of proper diet can lead to decreased efficiency on the job." Eice replied, playing the part of an officious bureaucrat. "You may want to take the hint and try adjusting what you eat."

She pretended to make a note in her datapad, though actually checking the location of their destination.

"I would hate to see you lose shifts over sub-par fitness. Not my department, you understand, just saying..."

Although they managed to get into the hangar without a fuss, Kal was taken aback by the sheer number of various cargo haulers that were housed and or productively on- or offloading cargo. "Their fleet is gigantic-" he gasped, knowing that midline cargo hauling was merely a fraction of Blackrow's revenue. Try as he might, Kal could not spot a freighter that was unattended by other Blackrow personnel and they really needed as few eyes as possible on them when they went to do their business. ""-please tell me you know how to proceed."

He finally managed to take his eyes off the fleet and turned to the Tintinna, "Also-" his eyebrows dropped into a frown, "-I'm plenty of fit." Although he knew that her comments had been made as part of their ruse, the allegation that his eating habits would cause sub-par fitness and thus decreased efficiency was still a bit painful to get told. He had beaten a cartel basadi in a Nar Shaddaa arena fistfight. That's not something everyone could boast!

Luckily, they remained undisturbed and would have some time to 'case the hangar' in search for a suitable target.

Eice stared around, wary, though her reaction to the shear number of ships being attended throughout the hangar was not quite as shocked as Kal's. She had worked for the company before, at their home port orbiting Corellia no less; what was here was barely a fraction of what Eice knew the company possessed.

One day, Eice had vowed, she would take down the company that had raised her, and expose all who still lived the way she had to the truth of their servitude. Sights like this did not exactly make such a goal seem more attainable, however.

"Oh believe me, this is nothing." She replied to the human. "I worked at the home office, where they keep the really big ships..."

The Tintinna looked around, her trained eye scanning the parked freighters. Noting one, she grinned to herself.

"Bingo."

Reaching up to adjust her hair, Eice glanced down at her datapad, nodding in apparent satisfaction before turning to stride purposefully across the hangar toward a nearby ship. It was being attended by a single being, a green-skinned Rodian male pushing a grav-palette of compressed helium canisters up the boarding ramp.

Eice put on her best stern, official expression, and called out to the male, who was the only visible person near the freighter.

"You there! Surprise inspection!"
