Sons of Coruscant

“Why do we fight? For the innocence lost. For the blood spilt. For the orphan crying over loved ones, now still. For those that can’t stand for themselves. For worlds that will never recover. They now try to win over those they devastated with false promises and bribes. They say that might makes right! But I say no! Rivers of blood will never bring peace! Freedom will never die as long as a heart beats with a dream of a better tomorrow! We won’t bow down! We won’t give in! We few against the many! We…Sons of Coruscant!”

History
Originally a ragtag group of vandals, thieves, and slicers they have now evolved into a full fledge rebel organization waging a growing war against the Imperium from the shadows. Established by Kane De’Lanfant, the son of former Alliance General Berin De’Lanfant, and a small band of young orphans he rescued when the imperials attacked Coruscant.

As he struggled to raise the grieving orphans, he also began to move against the Imperium from the city planet’s criminal underbelly. He did whatever he could to harass them as a teenager; he would vandalize their official buildings and vehicles, slice into their shipping records changing times and destinations, and stealing weapons. It wasn’t long before he upped his efforts as the years passed. Vandalism became destruction of property as he set fire to their offices and sabotaged their vehicles. He now sliced into military deployment records, causing desperately needed troops and supplies to never arrive. He still stole weapons, but now he would also target military documents and intel. It wasn’t long before the four orphans helped Kane in his fight. Bori and Bolli were the twin human boys, Jacek a Rodian and Aleia an Echani were the first members of the rebel group that was soon to be infamously known as the Sons of Coruscant.

Kane knew they wouldn’t be able to operate on an occupied planet, let alone a seat of power, for much longer and soon the long arm of the Imperium was closing in on them. The fledgling rebel group, now larger as former soldiers and those desperate for freedom flocked to Kane, managed to escape a large scale raid and hijack an imperial shuttle. After barely escaping a hail of blaster fire, they soon sped off into the unknown. From there Kane and his group wandered the Outer Rim for the next few years, slowly gaining support and momentum; even acquiring a derelict Indominable-Class Assault Frigate that would serve as their mobile base of operations.

They soon began to draw more and more to their cause; former soldiers, desperate refugees, and the like. As their group began to grow, their moves against the Imperium became bigger and even evolved into all out skirmishes, everyone began to look to the charismatic and well-spoken Kane despite his young age. He accepted the mantle of leadership, albeit reluctantly, and over the next few years he began to issue a cry…a cry heard by those thirsty for freedom. A cry echoed by the other rebel groups and a cry hated by the Imperium. Their fight is just beginning as the Sons of Coruscant gear up to take the fight against the Imperium in full force.

Technology
Kane comes from a wealthy family that made its fortune in trade, as such this rebel group started off much better funded than others. Imperial Intelligence services managed to cut off the majority of his family's funds, but not before he quickly accessed the accounts to purchase basic supplies for the budding rebel group; food, medical supplies, basic arms/armor, and a few dozen junk fighters to fix up into the start of their fleet. But their funds are now low and they steal, scavenge, and build whatever they can get their hands on; especially if they can steal it from the Imperium.

Views
The Sons of Coruscant are like other rebel groups who stand against the Imperium. They also want to free the galaxy from the crushing grip of the Sith and their corrupt empire, along with wanting to establish a new galactic government to bring peace to the ravaged galaxy. But unlike many other rebel organizations they hold a deep anger bordering hatred against, not only the Sith, but the Force in general. Most of the members of this group see the Jedi as cowards who interfere with galactic politics and are responsible for many of the conflicts throughout history. As such they dislike the Jedi, neither wanting their help nor to help them. They want a government free from their influence and entanglements.

Goal
To strike against the Imperium in any way possible in an effort to free the galaxy from their control and create a new government free of the entanglements of the Jedi.

Crimson Dragoons

“We are the blades in the dark. The walkers of the unseen paths. We stand, when others fall."

The Crimson Dragoons are the Sons of Coruscant elite special forces. They are sent in when situations are the most desperate, dangerous, or grim. Specializing in stealth, sabotage, infiltration, and assassination they can bring an entire base down to it's knees near-singlehandly. Their arsenal normally consists of explosives, hacking devices, and edged weapons. They carry blasters as well but only as a last resort. Primarily relying on their blades to fell most enemies.

Recognizable in their signature Stalker armor, if you even see them that is, they are nearly hunted as much as Commander Kane himself. They operate in a Quad, never numbering more or less than four at a time. To stand among them, is to be counted among both heroes and villans.

Kane handpicks those who have shown the potential for greatness through acts of valor on the battlefield or survived events that would have scarred, even killed, most people. They stand when others fall. They fight, when others lose the will to go on. Against impossible odds they perservre. They are the bane of the Imperium's will, the knife at the back of the Sith. They are; the Crimson Dragoons.

Other Information

Promotion - Rising in rank among a rebel group can be complicated and long because of the nature of a rebellion. There are simply so many other things to worry and think about, promotion being low on the list. But it should have more emphasis. Ranks and chain of command are more important than ever because of the unsure, chaotic nature of a rebellion. So Kane made sure ranks, chain of command, and oppurtunities of promotion are clear. He has made the process and structure a well oiled machine to rival any other military infastructure. Promotion is based upon skill, knowledge, experience, and contribution to the war effort. Like in any other aspect of life, one does not start at the top nor recieve something one has not earned. Promotion comes with an increase in pay when the funds are not otherwise used for more important purposes such as supplies and often times more practical things are given with a rise in rank; such as a weapon or extra supply rations.

Missions - In order to gain more supplies, manpower, and other neccesities involved in fighting a war the Sons of Coruscants must engage in missions across the galaxy to further their goals. Missions are organized into five categories; Combat, Special Operations, Diplomacy, Expansion, and Prime Directive. Combat missions involve anything from small-scale attacks on small installations to all out battles with enemy forces. Special Operations are strictly for Crimson Dragoons; involving infiltration, sabotage, and assassinations. Diplomatic missions involve reaching out to other groups, even governments, for support and alliances. Expansion missions involve setting up outposts, lsitening posts, and supply depots. Finally, Prime Directives are missions involving battles and objectives that are critical to the Sons of Coruscant rebel group. They are great milestones and often determines the next path the rebel group takes in their fight. Completing missions not only helps the rebel cell, but also yield rewards ranging from credits to special prizes.

Hey Wanderer!

Wanted to give you a fair warning before the admins get here....

All indie factions are required to have three members to become a faction, as per Rule #1 of the Independent Factions.. This sub-forum is for factions seeking approval. In the case that this thread is locked and archived- which is the precedent- I would suggest that you post in Rules and Discussion to try to gather some support.

You can post exactly what you have posted here. And once you get three members, you can shoot Lavish a PM and that will open up s conversation about your indie faction.

It's a really cool idea, though! I hope to see it come to fruition.

Best,
TAC.

I know it needs three members. That's why it's in the unapproved section >.> I didn't post or move it here, Lavish did. So don't throw the rules at me lol

And odds are it just won't happen anyways. There was a lot of interest but now I hear nothing back and others want to join the main rebel faction, so...*shrugs*
