She was happy. Awake, alive, full of light and she could see. Nothing could break this from her. That is until the door opened and someone came in. She turned her head to see who had come in, and then everything stopped. Aeryun felt like the world fell out from underneath her. Her eyes were clearly playing tricks on her, but in that first sight...Aeryun saw her mother.
"Mom?" she would say in a soft whisper.
She knew it couldn't be true. It couldn't be. The woman was wearing all white which resembled the long dresses her mother would wear. It took her a minute to adjust and realize that the face and everything was not her mother, and as she blinked and tried to focus it did indeed fix itself. As the image of her mother left her Aeryun began to realize the truth of it all: her parents were gone.
"Ah, The subject is awake and apparently capable of seeing me."
The first woman stepped aside and another would enter. Another girl, likely around her own age (not that Aeryun would even recognize herself in the mirror anyway), with long black hair and blank looking eyes. The outfit she was in scared Aeryun. So many straps. So much restraint. Was the girl dangerous? Or was she a danger to herself? She remembered the feeling of the cuffs on her wrists and how that had driven her crazy. Being in a suit like that would destroy her completely.
"This is Annex. She's an extraordinary success in my experiments and capable to hyperenchant any sense, as well as circumvent it's shortcomings....As long as I want it, that is."
Aeryun then felt an incredible release in her head as the sight left her. She exhaled in a deep whine as her body was suddenly freed from the tension. Her eyes were still open, and they searched the room for some sort of light. There was nothing. Nothing except one image. One single image she couldn't seem to get out of her head. Her mother.
She pictured her mother, walking along her stream back home. Her long white dress flowing behind her. It was one of her more fancier ones, the one she'd been married in actually. She was so beautiful. She was so lovely. Aeryun would give anything now to be with her mother. The pain she'd buried so long along was now coming up and she couldn't hold it back. She began to sob. The pain was too much. How could she expect to deal with all of this? These last few days were just too much. No one in their right mind could stand up to all this drama. She was just a little girl after all.
"Please stop," she would beg the woman before they even began. "Please don't do this. Please just let me go. Please just let me go."
