  • What is going to happen in your plot?

The Sluis Van Shipyards are the priemer shipyards in the Outer Rim. They aren’t bound to any entity right now and better to scoop them up while you can. The Sluissis are masters of shipbuilding, even if they are slow. Shipbuilding is an art to them after all. Even still they would prove to be a valuable asset to the rebellion. Galactic Alliance members (posing as a private military cooperation) try to negotiate, but a problem comes up when a disgruntled employee makes off with precious blueprints with their latest, the GA members vow they will get them back, finding clues as to the whereabouts of the culprit. When they find out his next move, they will pursue him in an attempt to return the blueprints.

  • What other players will be a part of this?

@Tyler Ward (now approved!), and other GA members TBD

  • Where are all the places (if more than one) that your plot will be taking place?

Sluis Van Shipyards, Sluis Van (the planet) and around the sector.

  • Please provide a basic in-character timeline of what you expect to happen.

Thread 1. A GA negotiation party has a meeting with the head of the Slussi Van Shipyards in their station, passing themselves off as a private military cooperation and attempting to make a deal to gain a contract with the SVS, but the price is too steep. However, they get word during the meeting that blueprints to a new ship design were stolen. The GA members would be glad to find the culprit and bring him to justice and retrive the blueprints, for good will points. DMed encounter.

Threads 2 and 3: Two separate teams of GA members would be sent to investigate and look for two places of the suspected culprit: The guy’s apartment and his workstation. Participants dice roll to find clues that would bring them closer to the culprit. If all goes well, then they would find out that the thief intends to sell the designs to a pirate group so they could make use of them. They find t he date, time, and place of where the sell is supposed to happen. Ran concurrently.

Thread 4. With the information acquired from the last two threads, GA team is sent to the meeting place, a pirate hideout on Utapau. As long as the blue-prints are retrieved that’s what matters post. Capturing the thief is a bonus. DMed

Thread 5. Second round of negotiations with the SVS head. With the blueprints retrieved, the GA party tries going for a significant discount for their services, enough for a deal to be reached and allowing the GA access to shipyard production with the SVS. (Dmed)

  • What do you or your character hope to achieve with this plot? What is the "end-game"?

To acquire Sluis Van Shipyards access for the Galactic Alliance to allow for ship production. Not looking to take over the planet or gain any extra ships on top of that with this plot.

  • Do you need any involvement of canon NPCs or faction leaders to be DMed by a staff member? If so, please detail who/what and for what purpose.

A DM will be needed for negotiation threads, in addition to combat threads.

  • Additional Notes

As usual, open to feedback and suggestions.

I’ll ask around for DMs if a third party dm is allowed ( I don’t have anyone yet). I don’t think this needs to be staff DMed (unless you think otherwise)

This has great promise. I agree DMs should be necessary for something like this. Being able to use a shipyard would greatly aid the GA. The plot has my full endorsement.

Considering how much this plot hinges on Dming, I would very much prefer the DM NOT be someone who's main faction would benefit.

If you absolutely cannot find someone else then go for it but be aware that I will be looking very closely when it comes to review.
