Description Developed by teams of engineers and scientists by RevoGalactic in order to come up with a class-D type space suite, or an EVA suit, that could stand up to the intense heat and power from descending into the lower atmosphere of a planet and able to navigate a safe landing zone. Strategic Ketrian Yttrium Capable of Intense Descent and Environmental-Hazards, or SKYCIDE for short, was born with safety and efficiency in mind. With custom models available, the standard issue model is roughly 2-2.5 feet taller than the average humanoid being. Custom models are available for beings larger or shorter than the average, though will increase the price dramatically. With 8-9 hours of air and power supply, SKYCIDE is equipped with a repulsor pack and power generator located on the back of the system. Made form materials such as Ketrian and Duvralex that have high heating and melting points, which allows for the buildup of heat while descending to keep the wearer safe. Also used to deflect sun radiation and solar rays, the back of the system is mainly made up of Ketrian alloy. The repulsorlift technology gives SKYCIDE a powerful system to decrease the speed and acceleration during descent, and with mounted flaps and a rotational engine gives the user the ability to fly through the lower atmosphere. With an additional feature the repulsorlift power gives the system the ability to hover as well. The interior is built with highly comfortable and modern mesh which allows the wearer more freedom to move with the suit. With a near 180 degree field of view, the suit does not provide a great dimension for combat awareness, although it is able to withstand decent fire from blasters. With a highly modernized and technological HUB system, the wearer can access all diagnostics of the system from the viewport. As well as communication fields and an integrated GPS system which is retrofitted with flight-plan capabilities. SKYCIDE is a one-of-a-kind EVA/re-entry suit that allows for full flight control and full telecommunications array. Available only to the select few who can afford such a suit, and those within the Hutt Cartel. With enough room inside to include various small arms weaponry. |
