Renfry looked down, opening the box and grinning at the sight of the hat, popping it on her head. How do I look? she asked before looking deeper into the box once again. She squinted as she looked at the pendant, her eyes taking that almost analytical look. She could sense that there was more than met the eye, but didn't think taking a long while to investigate it at the moment was proper.

It's beautiful and more. You do know how to give lovely gifts, she complimented Morgan. Thank you, she said. He took his leave along with Jaikus shortly thereafter.

It was only moments later that Art approached and she smiled at him as he did, taking the box of chocolates that were offered. Well thank you. Your mother sounds like a wise woman. Or at least practical, she said somewhat in joke. She hadn't missed how he had initially kept his distance, and she would have wagered that had to do with her current state. A state that was likely to garner all sorts of rumors that she wasn't going to answer. If people wanted to think it was the Shadow itself, then she wouldn't correct them.

Of course you were invited! she said. It was only appropriate that you not be forced to host every one of our parties, she said. Indeed, it had fallen to him to host the last few.

Hopefully you'll be able to enjoy yourself a bit rather than having to worry about being the evening's host, she said.

Jaikus kept his gaze fixated onto the Empress – his smile tugging just a bit wider when Renfry spoke. There was no denying how she brightened when the topic shifted to her condition, and he immediately picked up on the genuine warmth and excitement that briefly bled into her words.

Citrine eyes were drawn away from the Dathomirian when Ashla joined them on the dais, greeting the Togruta Acolyte with a dip of his head and a smile – a bit more warmth bleeding into his polite, dignified expression. She was a familiar face in the room, and the Axxilan had grown used to her frequent Switter tags and HoloNet messages over the months.

“Ashla,” Jaikus spoke smoothly, tipping his glass towards her. “You look lovely as ever.” His gaze briefly flicked up to the hat she was wearing, tilting his head ever-so-slightly as his smirk tugged a bit wider. “It’s certainly better than one of those masks.” He quipped teasingly, making clear reference to the Togruta’s masterful evasion tactics back at Castle Wessex.

The topic didn’t linger attire for long, and Jaikus couldn’t help but blinked a few times - a single brow arching when the carrot was offered. At the very least, it was certainly a step up from the Antacids she’d been handing out last time they were together.

“These,” He defiantly lifted the flute in his hand, giving it a little jiggle. “Have plenty of antioxidants that are good for your heart.” Jaikus fired back confidently. It was exactly the type of health-conscious shit he expected from his partner, and the Axxilan was very clearly prepared to defense his choice of beverage.

Nevertheless, after another moment of silent observation, the Axxilan finally reached forward to accept the carrot – pinching it between two fingers before popping it into his mouth – proceeding to wash it down with another swing from his flute. Jaikus grinned towards Ashla before glancing past her, spotting a familiar Firrerreo making his way towards their little cluster.

“Lord Stolas,” He dipped his head respectfully towards the Firrerreo, a polite smile brushing against his bronze features – dignified and eloquent as ever around the Sith Lord. “Always a pleasure to see you.” His sideways smile tugged a bit wider when that nickname was used.

With that, Jaikus took another long drink from his glass - briefly watching the exchange between Morgan and Renfry as the gift was presented. He tipped his glass towards Renfry when she popped the hat onto her head. “Now that is more like it,” He quipped, clearly approving of the festive hat.

While the Aurodium pendent was presented, Jaikus allowed his gaze to flick towards the rest of the room – casually scanning those who had arrived while pointedly avoiding Xeno and his awful attire. He briefly caught of a glimpse of Artorigas as the Serennian entered the room, unsurprisingly going straight for the wine. His attention when flicked over to Tiamat, opting to greet the woman from afar with a raise of his glass in her direction.

Jaikus allowed his gaze to wander the room for a few moments more, finally brought back to the dais when Morgan abruptly announced that he was cashing in on that dance which had been promised all the way back on Serenno. While the Axxilan maintained nothing but a friendly exterior, he couldn’t help but regard the Firrerreo with some internal suspicion.

Quite a bit had changed since they’d seen each other last at Castle Wessex. There was no a doubt in Jaikus mind that the Firrerreo had seen the HoloNet over the past few weeks, and the Axxilan expected at least some degree of vitriol from Morgan in response. If nothing else, Jaikus didn’t expect the Firrerreo to actively seek him out and casually request a dance. Whatever polite exterior the Sith Lord wore, the Axxilan couldn’t help but doubt the genuineness behind the Firrerreo’s warm expressions.

Or perhaps he had it all wrong, and Morgan was exactly as casual and nonchalant as he seemed. Clearly, the relationship between Emryc and the Firrerreo hadn’t been as serious as originally believed.

Either way, Jaikus didn’t verbalize any of his internal musing – instead giving the faintest shrug of his shoulders as he deposited the empty champagne flute onto a nearby tray. “You certainly took your time.” He quipped, turning to give Renfry a respectful nod of his head before following Morgan towards the dancefloor.

As he crossed the room, Jaikus’ gaze once more flicked over to Artorigas – silently watching the exchange with the box of chocolates. He said nothing on the matter, merely greeting the man with a polite nod of his head as he passed. “Caelestis.”

With that, Jaikus finally made his way out onto the dancefloor – fixating his attention back onto Morgan. The music was festive and upbeat, and the Axxilan almost immediately began to loosen his body up and sink into the rhythm. After a few moments, he extended a hand out towards Stolas to begin their routine. “I trust you’ve kept busy since last we met, Lord Stolas,” He spoke smoothly, tilting his head ever-so-slightly to the side as he regarded the Firrerreo.

“Done any club-hopping recently?” He quipped, making clear reference to the incident which had been plastered all over the HoloNet some months ago.

Serreno, this was a place far too good for the likes of Darrand Cresta. Some nobody from the back end of the Galaxy. A man born to criminals turned prison guardian and eventual soldier, and here he was on some fancy world, standing in a party awkwardly with actual Sith. And now, here, most of all, the Force-be-damned Empress. The aura was palpable. So many damned sabers here. And yet they let him in.

He stood there, standing at attention, hands clasped behind his back, off to the side, the green of the imperial uniform a stark contrast to the remainder of the attendees. They were all dressed for a party, but Darrand, ever the professional, ever the one more at home with a bunch of crazy droppers like himself, sported the uniform as almost a suit of armor. It felt weird here, all stilted and formal, none of the wild antics and booze or sabbac, like his unit was fond of. Their new version, Droppers Delight had become a bit of a hit among the crews. Fat chance he would get a good brew here, some wild music and a chance to remember in peace at the end of the night.

Well, nothing to it but to do it. He thought to himself as he forces himself to relax a bit and make his way to a nearby server and grab himself a pair of glasses containing some form of alcoholic drink. He downed one then the other and smiled to the server, this one organic. He offered them a wink, and then turned, making his way towards the rest of the party.

She silently canvassed the growing crowd of Sith and Imperials, many taking to the Empress, though there seemed to be one Sith in particular who made a beeline to where she was standing. She had remembered him from previous socials, if she wasn't mistaken, he was the same Sith she grilled about assuming stereotypes and he was still the same one that was even torpedo'd through a window. Her eyes narrowed with her thoughts, but she put on her best show smile as he(@Scoobert) greeted her with a traditional Life Day drink: eggnog. She reached around to set down her glass, the server quick to appear with a tray to hold her wine for when she was finished.

Taking the creamy drink, she took a sip, nodding in approval, "Its been ages since I've had eggnog." and it was true, it felt it was sometimes more difficult to get certain food and drink this far from the core. He complimented on her looks and she gave him another nod, "I like the suit, the monochromatic works great against your natural red, its nice to see some boldness in color. Black gets...dull." Tia approved and took another drink of the eggnog, finding it hard to pause, she was certain she could probably drink this stuff until she vomited tonight.

In the distance she spotted Jaikus (@Altaris) as he rose his glass in her direction, to kriff with him, she didn't raise her glass back, but the cheeky smile would hopefully give him some ease that he wasn't in hot water with her...yet.

"I'm surprised many are here, or even the Empress is hosting this given the history of the holiday." her gaze scanned the crowd before settling back on Draugr, "I've loved Life Day since I was a child."

Telo’s nostrils flared as he sniffed his flute of wine, letting the aromas fill his sinuses before taking another gentle sip. A fine quality wine, much better than most he’d drunk on Nal Hutta though there was an array of great imported wines.

The young sith didn’t simply want to stand around, he knew to get on in life he’d need to network as it we’re get to know the higher ups, earn himself the title of Sith Lord. For now he was simply a champion, that that he was necessarily interested in the title or even the position of power, but the secrets he could learn, the things they could teach him was what interested him the most.

Though he was also here to have a good time, it was life day after all and he loved a good party. He’d need to work his way in, out of the corner of his eye he saw young red headed woman, she looked around the same age as him and was now talking to Walking across the room, towards the woman known as Tiamat and the man she was talking to, though not that he knew either of their names. He nodded and smiled at the pair “Telo Nass.” Offering out his hand for her to shake “Happy life day.” he said with a genuine tone in his voice, he enjoyed the holidays and enjoyed good company he hoped the pair would be the latter.

Before he could get a response from the hulking specimen of a woman, another man approached. Nevan knew he hadn't seen him before because if he had he'd have remembered a face like that. Features that could cut through glass and eyes that could stop a blaster bolt in it's tracks. He introduced himself and extended his hand. Nevan looked down to it, set his little snack onto the tray the Orc woman was holding and shook it. "Nevani Moonshine, but you may just call me Nevan." When the boy made a reference to his tattoos, Nevan chuckled and brought one of his clawed hands to his own exposed chest. "And just think - these are only the ones that you can see." He fired a wink in Senin's direction, as well as a subliminal dose of pheromones designed to boost Oxytocin propagation.

Yet another figure approached and joined the little group that was forming. This socialising thing was going great. Nevan hadn't spoke this much in what felt like weeks and as a social creature such isolation was not good for him. Another introduction, another new face. Nevan could barely contain his excitement. "Hello Cairo." Nevan's eyes quickly scanned the newcomer, and then took another visit to Senin's face. Cairo seemed very young. Senin did too - although less so. Perhaps Nevan was the anomaly and he had joined The Sith much later than most do.

Nevan nearly choked on his champagne when the young man asked if either of them danced. A mixture of excitement and disbelief. Thats when he noticed a few more people had began to bleed onto the floor. Tuning his ears to the music his nose scrunched up a little bit. "Do I dance?" He sounded offended that such a thing was ever called into question. "I basically invented dancing. However-' he paused to allow the sound of music to flow through the conversation 'I have never heard music like this before. My people's music is usually more... Feral." He couldn't think of a better word to describe it. Feral, Rhythmic and Loud synthetic bass was what he was used to. Some of the noises this band were making he'd never heard before in his life.

One after the other, Nevan sank both of his champagne flutes' contents down his throat before setting the empty glasses on a passing servant's tray.

"But I am always up for a challenge."

Senin shook the Zeltron's hand, a smile on his lips. “Nevan, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” he was sincere, it was really a pleasure. The Acolyte had thought that he would expend this entire party moping in a corner, while trying to get drunk. However, the vision of Artorigas being depressed and now this gorgeous man made him become more excited for being there. Or perhaps it was the effect of Nevan’s pheromones.

He followed Nevan’s hands when the Zeltron touched his own chest. If he was another person, Senin would probably have blushed with his comment about the tattoos and with the wink that he received from the other man. However, he wasn’t this way. He would not feel embarrassed or scandalized with something that he also used to do. “I would love to have the opportunity to see it sometime.” the Gw’eneen smirked, before also winking. If the Zeltron wanted to play this game, he would follow.

Then another Acolyte approached their group. He had never heard about Cairo before. He probably was one of the new members. “It’s a pleasure to meet you, Cairo. I’m Senin Ravelo.” he offered his hand for the other to shake. Giving a close look at his face, Senin noticed that Cairo seemed to be younger than him.

After Nevan made his comments about the dance, Senin remembered his visits to Zeltros. The dances that he had there were beyond feral, and he loved it. He really needed to visit this planet again. “Perhaps you would like company on this challenge?” the G’weneen said to the pink-skinned man. “I would love to have the opportunity to dance with the person that invented it.” he winked at Nevan, while his voice was playful.

He smiled awkwardly when she commented his mother, she was a wise and practical women, but ever since he 'accidently' killed his brother. The wise women she had only ever looked at him with rage and hate, he was thankful at least that she had left Serenno with his father shortly after he removed him as head of house Wessex. Though part of him did wonder if her eyes would be different now considering where he now stood. "It is lucky as well as you would have to travel a fair distance to anything new I hosted. Today was my last day as a resident here, the Castle has gone to Cornelia, I am moving fully to Namadii." He said a small hint of sadness in his voice.

Turning slightly away from the Empress to face the rest of the hall, he gazed over every head, spotting more faces he did not recognise. The dais was were he was most comfortable, looking down upon all those below him. A small piece of happiness from the comfort, slipped into the melancholy that surrounded the Councillor. "The worry kept me busy, so if there is anything you need do let me know." He replied eyes still scanning the room.

Artorigas stood his eyes locked on the still sweating servant protecting the glass of wine. His gaze pulled the servants eyes to his and Artorigas summoned the drink and the man to him with a wave. "Also Mi'Empress, the gift I spoke about before. It was almost ready, but thinking about it now, it would make an excellent baby gift. So you may need to wait a little longer." The servant had reached him and handed the glass over with a bow.

As the lady would speak, Draugr stood by and listened. When she complimented his suit he couldn't help but actually smile. It was nice to see that the other Sith could be respectful of what others choose to wear.

"Thank you, I agree. Black is overused but has it's uses. A gathering for the holiday, definitely not one."

The Zabrak would take another sip of the eggnog he had for himself and continued conversation with Tiamat. It was not very common for him to have a casual conversation without hostility but he is thankful he finally can again. For the first time since Hrist he was able to relax.

"I do agree that more mentionable Sith are in attendance, but it is a common occurrence for this planet and it's social gatherings. As for Life Day, I have never celebrated until now. I always just partook in the Day of the Dead festivities. Life Day felt too, cheerful. Suppose I have reason now to be cheerful."

As the Lord was speaking a new face appeared in conversation. They came to introduce themselves to the higher ranked Sith, and seemed like he expected a handshake from the Zabrak. Draugr would simply take another drink from his glass and then introduce himself.

"Lord Draugr."

The Zabrak had a straight face, with eyes relaxed but open. Showing a look of annoyance at the sight of a Champion trying to fit in with the Lords. The equivalent of a freshman trying to only hang out with the seniors. It wasn't a good fit. Though Draugr was here to celebrate Life Day so a part of that would be tolerating the lower individuals.

As expected, it wasn't long before the more festive music came through the party hall. Jade couldn't help but tap one of her feet to the jingling tunes. Before long she was shimmying rhythmically to the swinging notes. As the server returned, the acolyte took the tray of different rice rolls with sea food and some kind of spicy sauce. They were the perfect snack.

As she began taking the first few bites she listened to her master's statement. "The empress has brought her own food." She said as if it were an excuse to treat this like a buffet. Really, she was subtly watching what the others in the room were doing as they assuredly considered her to be nothing more than a brute.

"This is my last tray, Lord." She said honestly. After this Jade would need a drink and made a note of where the Zabrak was heading. (@Scoobert )

An unfamiliar individual approached her, this one another party goer by the looks of them. The Zeltron's words earned him a toothy grin. "What's stopping you?" She asked and began walking closer to the beverage table. Senin, Draugr's first apprentice came over to greet her. "A bit thirsty." She replied bluntly, unintentionally seeming dismissive. She seemed to just miss another man focused more on 'Nevan Moonshine'.

Jade set down the half finished tray of delectable food and picked up a water pitcher. She poured a single cup of water and then drank the contents of the pitcher. It was important to hydrate and now she had an appropriately sized stein for drink. The orcolan was still within 'conversing range' arguably with the male who introduced himself as Cairo. "Happy holidays. Cheers." She replied to each of them and brandished her pitcher of spiked festive drink in a toast. Now she was ready to chat. However dance, no, not really so if the men wanted to that she would continue to imbibe in merry solitude.

Nevan noted that Senin took the liberty of bringing his hand along for the ride and gently moved his hand ontop of Senin's, holding it against his bare chest for perhaps a second too long to be subtle before gently sliding the other acolyte's hand off and back down to their side. The woman he'd originally spoken to finally chipped in and Nevan was in awe at her physical presence and her hands that looked like they could crush rocks into dust with the same ease that Nevani could crack an egg.

"Cheers." Nevan toasted an imaginary glass towards the hulking woman with a warm smile on his face. The Sith so far seemed amicable which was honestly a shock to Nevan. He was expecting this party to be a black suit and tie, everyone sat down and miserable while they plotted the murders and downfalls of those around him, but even the first half of that sentence wasn't true. Some of them were actually quite competently dressed. Some.

He watched her begin sipping out of a pitcher and felt his mind wander. If this is the amount her people can drink, partys on her own planet and amongst her own people must be aboslutely brutal affairs - in the best way possible. He snapped back to the party at hand and brought his mismatched purple and brown eyes to meet Senin's when the young man mentioned joining him. Was what he doing flirting? Touching his chest, asking him to dance? It definitely was and Nevan couldn't lie, he loved having this effect on people.

"Well, a challenge shared is a challenge halved." He said, giving Senin permission to join him. "However, before any dancing is to occur we must abide an ancient and sacred Zeltronian tradition." Nevan said in a sagely and serious tone at the group that had gathered before he abrutly walked off disappearing into the crowd. He returned after about 2 minutes, his fingers wrapped around several little glasses containing a pink liquid. Three in one hand, two in the other. "Shots!" he beamed.

"One for you, one for you, one for you' He gave Senin, Jade and Cairo a shot of the nearly glowing pink liquid from the hand holding three if they would accept them. He then looked at his other hand, which held two. 'And two for me."

"Here's to the floor - who will always be there hold you when nobody else will!"
He toasted proudly before sinking his two shots one after the other, whilst keeping one eye open to watch how Senin managed it. The shots felt like being punched in the mouth by the most beautiful woman you'd ever seen before being kissed by the ugliest man. A casual Taungsday for Nevani back home really.

It didn't surprise Tiamat that the Sith Lord had little experience in celebrations such as Life Day, surely it went against the values of many sith nor sit in their immediate interest. However, that is what Tia felt what made her understand the greater galaxy better than most. She had lived a life on many different fronts and able to taste traditions that she was certain would have gone unknown by many of more traditional and preserved traditions of the Sith Order. Tia took another sip of the eggnog as Draugr described the holiday as too cheerful.

"See it as a celebration in the fall of an Empire that was doomed to fail, and allow us, to have this now." she hummed, her blue gaze leaving the Zabrak and resting on the young and unknown Sith who approached the two of them. He held out his hand to introduce himself as Telo Nass and Tia took it in a quick albeit gentle gesture of greeting. "Happy Life Day to you also, may you outlive your adversaries." she gave a small grin before taking another drink from her glass, trying her best not to empty it quickly.

"Is this your first time coming to a gathering like this?" she asked the fellow red headed sith.

Senin didn’t expect that Nevan would guide his hand through the Zeltron’s bare chest. The G’wenee smiled, he would not complain about it. The other Acolyte was really attractive and the sensation of his hand touching his skin was nice, very nice. Now the red-haired man was really interested in seeing the rest of his tattoos.

Then Jade finally seemed to have noticed that they were talking with her. Senin refrained from starting a conversation with the Orcolan. She seemed to be more interested in the food and drinks than talking with someone. He decided to ignore the dismissive way that she answered him. The G’weneen could understand that she probably wanted to stay alone, he was this way sometimes too.

He smiled when Nevan gave his permission for them to dance together, but became confused when the Zeltron mentioned an ancient tradition and disappeared in the crowd. When he returned bringing glasses and talking about shots, a smirk appeared at the G’weneen’s lips. He accepted the drink without thinking twice.

Cheers!”Senin said before drinking all the liquid in the glass. The drink was really strong, but the G’weneen took it well. He was used to drinking things like this one during parties, some were even stronger than it. “I think that I’ll want a refill.” he said, looking directly at the Zeltron. He was aware that Nevan had watched him drink it.

This is a huge leap out of Myec's comfort zone. The usually silent bloke didn't usually come to parties like this. He'd rather be hunched over a drink at a cantina in some dark corner. What brought this on? It was some bet that he won't last five minutes at a social gathering. Myec doesn't remember what the jackpot is if he can last longer than five minutes. But Either way it has brought him to as much as float around at the outside of the gather just wondering how the hell to do anything here.

Myec stood at the outside wondering how to do this. It was starting to hurt his head. Does he greet the host first? Or just start talking to other party goers? His head started to hurt from all the questions that popped into mind.

He needs a drink. Something strong to sooth his nerves.

Walking over to a server he grabbed a glass that appears to be the strongest beverage available. This put him next to Darrand. Well that was until the other bloke walked away to join the rest of the party goers. Was there a part of the said bet included he needs to talk to at least one person? Taking a sip he held the glass close to him as he made his way into the gathering. Maybe he'll go unnoticed and can claim that he at least put some effort into being more social.

Renfry could sense the hint of sadness in what Art said but didn't pry further. She was sure he had his reasons for what he was doing, and he was more than capable of making his own decisions about what he wanted from his life.

Well I'm all the more curious about it, then, she responded as he mentioned the gift making a good baby gift. There weren't many things that were good for baby gifts, right? Another reminder that she really didn't know much about raising children, but that was something she had several more months to figure out, right?

If you'll excuse me. Don't be a stranger, though, she said. She wanted to greet Tia but if he was moving away from Serenno, she didn't want him to be gone or draw into seclusion.

With a smile and nod she made her way over in the direction of Tiamat, placing a hand momentarily on the other woman's shoulder as she arrived and smiling.

Good to see you, Tia. It's been too long, she said. In fact, they probably needed to speak again about how things were going with the mask, but she was glad the other woman had opted not to wear it this time.

And you, Lord Draugr. I hope you're enjoying if this is indeed your first Life Day party, she said. The others there she didn't recognize but she gave a polite nod in their directions as well.

"Aayy!" Jade bellowed and gave a tusky smile as she heard Nevan's Zeltronian tradition. She drank a bit more of her nog but would accept the shot before getting halfway. "You're funny, Moonshine." A barking laugh came from the acolyte at hearing his toast, satisfied by his humor before downing the liquor.

"Whew...dat's noice." She looked at the empty shot glass. Her lips continued to smack together, savoring the aftertaste while looking like she had bit into something sour. She agreed with Senin and wanted to have a follow up. "Yeah, is there more?" She asked and set the shot glass upside down on the nearby food table since it was the only place around.

Her eyes looked around the room while she waited. If there was more coming she would be fine sipping on the pitcher in her hand that was more like a tankard in her alabaster grip. The orc's eyes followed her master, keeping an eye on his location. She needed to learn from him and could do that even at a party. He was talking with the Empress of the Sith Empire and another Sith Lord. There was a champion present and he was actually who drew Jade's attention the most. He was the lowest among them but she was curious to see how he fared in his current company.

Before long the pitcher was going to become empty and Jade would need to slow down. A few more of the finger foods from the same tray earlier was in close proximity and paired amazingly with the eggnog. The buzz had kicked in and would go strong if followed by a second shot of whatever that pink stuff was. "Heyhey hey....any of you fight a jedi...oooh or Mangalorians?" She had heard a lot about them but had never met one. With the combined amount of Sith in attendance she hoped to maybe hear some good stories. All the best party goers knew how to tell a good story especially when it comes to vanquishing an enemy. If not, then she might have to end up sharing some of her conquests.

"Will I really get to meet the Empress?" Carmilla asked excitingly to Astardes, her Clan Mother. "Possibly, just stay by me, and I told you to not levitate when in public spaces." she quipped at the young Anzat. "Can you feel the large buildup of life essence? If so, keep your proboscises within your cheek. We are not here to feed on anyone."

They entered the large room of the palace and Carmilla was instantly mesmerized. She observed the whole room, and experienced a bit of a sensory overload. In her 25 years of life, this was the first Carmilla was allowed to leave the confines of her home on Dathomir. A party might not have been the best first experience. "Care for a treat madam?" A servant asked, approaching Carmilla. She looked at the tray he was holding which had brownies resting on it. She grabbed one and stared at it within her hand; Astardes grabbed the girl's shoulder and pointed at her teeth, hinting it was to be eaten with your mouth. Carmilla sunk her teeth into the delicacy and was immediately overwhelmed. It was warm, sweet, somewhat nutty, earthy, and chewy.

Without thought, Carmilla started levitating and moved towards another servant carrying a tray. This tray carried a glass of wine, and Carmilla quickly took a sip. It was bitter and burned slightly, but had a smooth hidden sweetness to it as well. She continued moving to different servants and trying whatever delicacy they were carrying. "That damn girl..." Astardes muttered before looking in the direction of the Empress. She stood for a moment to get the Empress' (@Phoenix ) attention, and bowed towards her.

Morgan flashed Andruil a pleased grin at her acceptance of the gift. She even wore the hat, officially adding to the festive atmosphere of this Life Day gathering. Meanwhile, Artorigas' tense expression and excuse were patently brushed aside by the Firrerreo Councilor. Morgan was infamously difficult to lie to, but the Serennian noble's avoidance wasn't something he intended to address any more than had already been more.

Which brought him to Jaikus as they approached the floor. Calling him off to dance had partly been to un-crowd Andruil, but that didn't mean Morgan wasn't going to have fun.
"Oh, were you eagerly awaiting my call? Apologies," he quipped back, well aware he'd taken his sweet time about it. Easily he adapted to the rhythm in the air, slender fingers reaching forward to take Jaikus' offered hand. He pulled slightly to take dancing position, those silken digits concealing an iron strength within.

Morgan moved with delicate precision, meditative purpose, as if all time and consequence were his to distribute. He danced a variant swing to the festive tune, steps keen and hips swaying smoothly to the beat. Focused on what he was doing and who he was speaking, golden eyes locked a moment with those of Jaikus. An amused smirk crossed his face at reference to that ridiculous old tabloid.
"Why yes, in fact. To both. Nothing so well-publicized as Emil's appearance." That poor man seemed like he'd never hear the end of the harem talk. It no longer bothered Morgan in the slightest. Rather, it was quite funny.

After a moment the Firrerreo frowned at his dancing partner.
"Sticking to polite niceties today, Jaikus?" He called him out for the noble's amiable expression he'd plastered over his face and intentionally used his actual name. Morgan had seen enough of him to have an idea of what a real smile looked like. At the same time, it was a not-so-subtle invitation to speak his mind.

Obviously, he'd seen the holonet report covering Emryc and 'Altair' having a more public partnership and had to deal with what feelings came along with it. Weeks ago, instead of letting it sit and fester. His relationship with Emryc had been serious and heartfelt enough to leave him reeling when it ended. Serious enough to directly interact with Emryc's new partner face-to-face after enough time had passed. Whatever wonderings wandered through the Axxilan's head, Jaikus still had much to learn about Morgan. Starting with how he danced.

Who led was a thing of flux, another fun little game. Morgan pushed and pulled like ocean tides, guiding how and where the pair sailed across marble and carpet seas while taking into account the way Jaikus himself moved. Typical of the Firrerreo he wasn't touchy aside from the usual points of contact for this dance, although the Axxilan did still have his full attention.

Jaikus wasn’t the least bit hesitant to take Morgan up on the dance, even if the Firrerreo had taken over a year to cash in on the offer made back at castle Wessex. Anyone who knew him well would know that there were few things in the galaxy that Jaikus enjoyed as much as dancing, and he intended to enjoy himself at this party.

Regardless of how awkward things were or weren’t going to be with his current dance partner.

He couldn’t help but tilt his head ever-so-slightly at Morgan’s words. “Quite the assumption that I would have dwelled on it that long.” He quipped back without missing a beat, arching a brow at the Firrerreo before allowing a grin to tug at the corners of his lips. “No need for apologies. Either way, better late than never.” He gave the slightest shrug before taking Morgan’s hand, beginning to fall into the swing steps that the current song demanded.

The Axxilan allowed a wide grin to spread across his lips as he moved across the dancefloor, his hips swaying fluidly to the beat. He reciprocated the amused smirk on Morgan’s face, stepping in close as the Firrerreo responded to the question.

“Poor fellow,” He said in reference to Emil. From Denon to the recent dramatics with the Jedi, it seemed that the Chancellor never seemed to catch a break from the constant media attention. As someone who naturally avoided the spotlight, Jaikus couldn’t help but feel a great deal of sympathy for the man.

“Of course, you have certainly got your fair share of dear Lisabe’s attention, haven’t you?” He grinned. Jaikus was entirely aware of how much media attention Morgan had received since that little escapade with Emil - including that most recent sighting at some Corporate Sector cantina. “I fear the woman doesn’t discriminate with her victims. Though I’m sure you don’t mind the spotlight.”

While his body continued to move to the music, Jaikus kept his gaze fixated strictly on Morgan. He clearly noted the frown on the Councilor’s face, taking a moment to consider the question before answering. “Have I ever not been polite with you, Morgan?” He asked simply, purposefully using the Sith Lord’s first name as he arched a brow. Whatever might’ve changed over the past few months, the Axxilan’s behavior hadn’t, and he wore the same polite expression that he often did.

As the current song came to a close and the
music shifted, Jaikus adapted accordingly. Once more the Axxilan stepped in a bit closer, keeping a firm grasp on the Firrerreo’s digits with one hand while the other loosely rested against Morgan’s shoulder blade. He purposefully maintained a bit more space between their bodies than was usual for the style of dance, his eyes fixated strictly onto Morgan’s own.

The Axxilan began to move forward - beginning their routine with a series of long, graceful steps that carried them across the room. As per usual, Jaikus had no qualms about confidently dominating the dancefloor, irrespective of his dance partner. He had danced with Galactic leaders and Sith Councilor’s alike, and seemed entirely at ease during the course of his current routine.

Jaikus cut a warpath around the palace, hips swaying fluidly as his feet - and Morgan by extension - practically glided across the marble floor. As he reached the center of the room, the Axxilan raised Morgan’s hand over his head and spun the Firrerreo on the balls of his feet - stopping him abruptly so they were facing each other once again. “I am exactly the same as I have always been.” He finally said, a faint smile brushing against his lips - not a hint of malice or tension edging his words. “I trust, you can say the same?”

The music continued, and the Axxilan once more began to result their dance. “I am curious, though. When you aren’t seeking out the company of various Galactic leaders,” He quipped, “What is it that you enjoy doing?”

Telo’s eyes glinted with delight at the Zabrak who greeted with a cold greeting and his face just as stern, it wasn’t the first time that Telo had encountered an over the top serious Sith. He often pondered these sith, the ones clinging for power yet seemed to get very little enjoyment out of the pleasures that power brought. His lips curled up from his teeth, producing a crooked grin as he nodded “A pleasure to meet you Lord... Draugr, was it?” Telo showed no fear, he wasn’t concerned with the mans power though it was likely much stronger than his own, he certainly didn’t expect to see a flex of power here today. He was more excited to see the Lord get drunk and let his hair, though perhaps horns would be better word down “Do make sure to try the Nal Hutta wine I brought, it’s rather on the strong side and not for the weak hearted.” He almost scoffed as he spoke.

His attention turned to the woman who had yet to introduce herself though gave what seemed like a warm genuine greeting, though he couldn’t be too sure he nodded his head as she asked her question “Yes, I’ve being to countless parties though none quite as sombre as this one let’s do hope everyone settles in soon, including you Dragur.” He snorted gently at the serious sith, taking all his might not to wink at him, he didn’t wish to poke the bear too much. He soon discovered the woman’s name as the empress herself placed her hand on the woman’s shoulder and spoke her name.

Tia. He noted it for later.

The Empress nodded in Telo’s direction, who bowed slightly at the back and nodded his head “A pleasure to meet you Empress, I am Telo Nass.” He introduced himself “Thank you for inviting us to your home, it truly is beautiful.” He said honestly.
