Siah is a master at combat and strategy. He is patient when not in the heat of combat and resilient when sparring. He has often been likened to the Sith in his fighting techniques, being hard and aggressive as opposed to being passive or defensive. Siah has learned battlefield strategy and many forms of combat outside of the Order's lightsaber training regimen.
Having been raised on Ilum, Siah has become a master of his physical self. He is able to withstand the frigid temperatures and the ripping winds.
Siah is a loner, having been raised monastically, he has very few social skills. Despite having been taught the standards of diplomacy, negotiation and compromise, Siah is loathe to engage in conversation with a non-Jedi. The young knight struggles with the nuances of diplomatic deception and bureaucracy. Siah is distrusting of anyone not a Jedi, anyone not bound by the code of the Order.

BIOGRAPHY

His parents were gamblers who had put their lives and the life of their young son in grave danger. Appealing to a local Jedi on Corellia, his parents secured him a flight off-world to deal with their own fates.
The Jedi, an aged consular, was on his way to Ilum where he was stationed. He saw to the boy and a great fondness developed between him and the infant. Master Anaset tested the young boy while aboard his shuttle to Ilum. He was pleased to learn of the boy's affinity and smiled at the brazen guidance displayed by the force in this instance. Master Anaset was an unassuming old man who had been in the Jedi order for more than seventy years. He had seen and done just about everything a Jedi knight could do. Siah had an excellent start to his Jedi training.

The other Jedi on Ilum were also of advanced age, there were only a few younglings who were there transiently. Most youths on Ilum were padawans who were there for the crystals to build their lightsabers.
Siah watched in silence and solitude as his peers came and went, never forming any bonds or even desires to leave Ilum.
He was trained by multiple masters, each one instructing him in their own methods of meditation, the force or indeed combat.
Siah learned many differing points of view and yet never let on to which one he held most dear.

It was evident, over time, that Siah's bond with Master Anaset became a powerful one, steeped in the force. The youngling grew into a fine padawan, if silent and brooding. Master Anaset and the other Jedi feared for the boy's isolation and so, he was sent to Tython for the period of one year, to undergo padawan training in the subjects of life, animals and plants. Siah missed the frigid expanse of Ilum and he never quite found the opportunity to make close friends or fit in. It became apparent that Siah was different to the other padawans, he was a very aggressive combatant when it came to sparring. The Jedi tutors and knights felt that he needed more guidence in how to be more passive and defensive. They never managed to alter his combat techniques in that year. Once his training was complete he was offered a place at the academy on Tython. Siah's refusal was polite but very much unapologetic.

He arrived back on Ilum a little wiser and very much happier. The old masters had been given reports and constant updates on Siah's progress. He had done exemplarily well for someone who had such an extraordinary training regime. Master Anaset took Siah aside and explained to him that agression through the force, while feeling like power, was in fact the path to the dark side. He explained that using the force for combat must always be measured and in complete agreement with the force.
Siah heeded the old Jedi's words and yet felt that the practical application of them would be another story all together.

Siah grew to love training in combat. He learned about all different kinds of weapons and their practical and unconventional uses. He trained with droids as often as he could, testing his mettle against their near-perfect programming. As he grew older he began training outside of the sanctity of the Jedi conclave. The frigid cold tested his ability to rely purely on his physical attributes while he concentrated the force into a barrier against the cold. Siah fashioned a mask that kept the cold air off of his face and out of his lungs. He would wear the mask within the confines of the temple so as to become accustomed to it. Master Anaset enjoyed seeing the young boy so utterly focussed on all aspects of becoming a padawan. Siah trained with axes, staves, blaster pistols and rifles and his training lightsaber. He had one of the Jedi remodel one of his training lightsabers to have a flatter blade, he used this to practice his deflection of blaster bolts. Siah's dedication to weapons training was only matched by his time spent meditating on the force. Siah trained for hours, then when his body was tired, he'd take up the meditation exercises of the old Jedi masters. He tuned his abilities in the force to encompass all fields of study, not neglecting one aspect of the force.

When he partook of the gathering he entered the crystal caverns without any hesitation. Siah, adept at being emotionless, had no known fears. He'd only read about the mythical Sith and the dark side of the force. He feared nothing and relied on the force. He was able to negotiate the twists and turns of the labyrinthine caverns without too much trouble. Siah entered a small chamber off of a main branch of the caves. The room was freezing cold, ice stalactites clung from the ceiling. Far darker than the rest of the caverns, the room seemed to warp into a dark corridor. He saw his mother and father standing at the end of the corridor. Siah cocked his head to one side in confusion. He was sure that this was an illusion. His parents looked at him, they looked confused. Siah neglected to remember his training in the force and use it as a guide. Forgetting all his training in the force, he took the images of his parents as being real when a simple force probe would have let him know otherwise. Siah stood motionless. He wasn't so much afraid as he was curious. One word left his lips as he looked at his parents... why. He wanted to understand what they wanted here, after so many years. Not realising it, he was in fact standing motionless for two hours. The cold of the caverns was creeping into his body and seeping the life out of him. Despite his heroic training regime and stalwart confidence he was only a child of ten. Siah was captivated by this strange sight, he had no means with which to attack the enemy or defend himself. He couldn't even identify an enemy...
Slowly Siah felt himself calm down and he reached deep within himself. He felt the force leaving his body and he knew that something was terribly wrong. Looking at his bare hands, Siah saw nothing different. He closed his eyes and reached out with the force to the images of his parents. There was nothing there! He tried to step forward but his feet were unresponsive and felt dead. A cold hard lump formed in Siah throat, he was dying. He could feel the force ebbing out of his body and into the nothingness of the caverns. With a great feat of will he forced the energy of the force through his body and took a step forward. The corridor shimmered as if wanting to break and fall apart. He took another step and the corridor shimmered again, the image of his parents faded slightly. Siah called on his training in Ataru and leapt forward faster than an eye could follow him. He slammed into a wall and the image of his parents and the corridor disappeared.

Eventually Siah had retrieved two Ilum crystals. Both a light and energetic blue. He returned to the conclave and told his mentors what had transpired. They nodded solemnly but never offered any advice or reassurance to him. In the days that followed, Siah built his two lightsabers on the Crucible under the watchful eye of Professor Huyang. The droid assisted Siah in tuning his crystals to his understanding and use of the force.

After the building of his primary weapons, Siah set about collecting and reinventing weapons and lightsabers. He eventually learned how to disable the protective field on a training lightsaber. Siah traded some rare lightsaber parts for a working lightsaber pike. He refitted the lightsaber with two, twin yellow crystals. After harmonizing the crystals to his unique concept of the force he trained relentlessly with them. He became adept at switching weapons amidst combat, these techniques threw the training droids into spasms of confusion and raised the eyebrows of the old Jedi.

While training on Ilum, Siah learned the purpose of the Ilum outpost. He learned that the conclave and temple were in fact a listening post for strategic planning in the event of intergalactic war. Siah would often attend the briefings with his mentors, as he grew older. At the age of eighteen he had all but completed his training to become a knight. He attended one such briefing where the Jedi were informed that a farming settlement, loyal to the Border Alliance, had been razed to the ground through orbital bombardment. The populace had not even been offered the choice of surrender. Siah felt a slight wave of anger seep through him. He quelled the felling and returned to his quarters to meditate.

At the age of 20 Siah had completed his training as a padawan and was a fully-fledged Jedi knight. He attended regular briefings with intelligence officers and learned all he could from them about the movements of the forces involved in the conflict. Siah was training everyday and meditated on the force during his quiet moments. He also mulled over the state of the Sith attacks on civilian and defenceless targets. As the months grew into years Siah grew more restless. All he had at Ilum were his opinions on the intel of the enemy forces, his physical training regimen and his meditations. He became acutely aware that his masters were busying themselves with the efforts of the war, even from this great distance. He had to make a very serious request.

"Master Anaset, may I come in?" the young Jedi asked of his master. The old Jedi nodded in approval and offered the young man a seat and a smile.
Siah looked emotionless, as always. He was not wearing his mask and his eyes were glued to the floor.
"Master, I feel that I need a more active role in defeating the Sith. You and the other masters each have your places here. I need to go and find mine," he left it at that and said nothing more. Anaset nodded slowly. In truth, he had expected this day to come sooner.

That was four years ago...

Excellent read. I might ask the question: "How could Siah fail?" Perhaps I missed a SWOT analysis in your write-up (apologies if I did), but I'd like to see where the balance is.

Hi

Thanks. I've expanded on his weaknesses and created a subheading for them: He is no diplomat or sweet talker, he is unable to trust anyone not a Jedi.
He's the tall silent type who gets jittery when conversation is required.

Let me know if he needs to be knocked down a notch.

Those are more charter weakness though not battle field weakness. I mean he can match people in force powers, is highly skilled in lightsaber combat and blaster combat not to forget hand to hand combat.

How about dropping the blaster and unarmed combat skills a bit.

Done and done... decided to remove any mention of blasters. I have specifically made him a battle oriented knight and know this has the danger of running into OP.

No problem it no bad to be good in combat My Jedi knight Felix is all so a power house charter. But only in marshal combat. He is that barbarian in DnD parties that just hits the locked door with a axe to open it
