DESCRIPTION​

The Shriek Hawk was the standard issue blaster rifle for Mandalorian troops. It was a compact but heavy design, little bigger than a carbine, ideal for mid range combat, with reliable range and capacity and few bells and whistles. It came standard with an adjustable 1x-3x powered scope, allowing the user to flex for variable engagement ranges. Like all Mandalorian produced weapons, the Shriek Hawk was heavy, solidly built, and simply constructed, making it useful as a bludgeon or field tool. Stories tell of Mandalorian soldiers stick the barrel over an open flame to cook their food on the end without fear of damaging the weapon, and of examples of the rifle being left leaning on trees for decades and still working perfectly fine when recovered. Though simple, the rifle was easily modified- most often with an added stock, a new scope, or other accoutrements.

LEGALITY​

Open carry of rifles is often restricted in civilized space and more peaceful jurisdiction, although permits are available for many who have a reason to carry such weapons: bounty hunters, security officers, etc.
