DESCRIPTION
Shock Boxing Gloves are easy to use gauntlets that shock your opponent on contact from the four stun conduits on the knuckle padding or the palm conduit. They are made from shock resistant materials, allowing the wielder to take advantage of the finger-less gloving for grappling. Upon contact with flesh the conduits activate, a nasty shock being dealt in a beautiful display of electricity being transferred. It proves for a stunning lightning-esque display making it popular for sporting events.

It is outfitted with a standard power pack, allowing for 50 electric shocks before needing to be recharged or equipped with a new power pack per glove. The damage dealt by these shocks are much weaker than standard stun weaponry, a strike from a shock boxing glove more jarring on contact but does not disable use of limbs or cause unconsciousness without repeated strikes. Paired with a powerful punch these boxing gloves can be quite effective in hand to hand combat, even once a charge has been depleted.

They have been known to be modified by criminal types to reduce total strikes available but boosting power, creating a weapon comparable to the Model 1-48 Stun Baton at the higher end of modifications. Typical Shock Boxing gloves are used in competition against unarmored opponents but are available for use as personal defense weapons. They are turned on and off by a safety switch on the cuff and all of the wiring is encased in the glove itself. The power pack is inserted inside a pouch inside the cuff of the glove.

Perfect for a sporting enthusiast or for self defense. Comes in many fun colors!

LEGALITY
Legal on most planets, forbidden on pacifistic worlds. Keep out of reach of children.

INTENT
There is a severe lack of unarmed weaponry that can stand up against blasters and other melee weapons. Shock Boxing Gloves double as a personal defense weapon as well as an integral part for the sport itself. Don't want to carry a stun weapon? Wear Shock Boxing Gloves. Can't buy one of those hilarious hand zappers to prank your friends with? Wear Shock Boxing Gloves. They are multipurpose and will further enrich the universe with alternatives for unarmed fighters other than their bare fists or knuckle dusters.

ADVANCED TECH
No, acquirable from sporting good stores or where self defense items are sold.

I would think that charge could be turned on or off. otherwise you'll have to calculate how long the gloves have been on and subtract from the 50 hits. A small switch or safety or something would seem practical.

I would imagine it wouldn't be continuously running, probably just discharges on contact. You probably don't need to have a battery duration, just the number of strikes it can discharge on.

The way I read it is more 1 day of continuous usage without strikes, or approximately fifty strikes throughout a short period of usage. I'd say that's not too unreasonable for a melee/unarmed weapon, seeing as nobody tracks their lightsaber hits or Cosmowrench strikes.

That's exactly what I was going for. 1 day of just walking around, not using them a whole lot but having to recharge at the end of the night like a phone, or if you're using them in quick succession something like 50 strikes. Otherwise people could just continuously use them like a lightsaber or something which COULD work I suppose but they wouldn't have as much power then since batteries do die haha. For balancing reasons I think having a set number and a charge like that might be the way to go. Technically speaking I suppose that means there would be a few strikes missing if you've been idle with it too long.

In all honesty I'm not sure though, I was just trying to keep them as balanced as possible seeing as how they can fit on someone's hands and they could still wield a weapon technically. I do appreciate what y'all have said though! Let's see what others and the tech staff have to say and we'll balance it properly.

But then if you walk around for half a day with them active then punch a guy 25 times does that mean you’re out of charge?

When you have your phone in your pocket for half a day but haven't used it is it at 50% exactly? No. There'll be some battery power missing because it wasn't totally in use.

I'm just gonna go ahead and make it 50 strikes to kill the confusion and I don't want to do math when all I want to do is punch people so I see your point LOL.
