SHIZUO ARAMUSHA

"An enemy doesn't stop being a person, because they take up arms against you. We lie to ourselves, and go against our natures. We pretend there is a difference, between murdering one group, and saving another. In the end, Blood is spilled, and someone dies for another. This is an Age of Wolves, and its time for the Wolves, to stop hiding from what they are."

FACTION: Old Empire

RANK: Acolyte

SPECIES: Kyuzo, altered by Nightsister Magick

AGE: 21

GENDER: Male

FORCE SENSITIVE:
Yes, Trained.

APPEARANCE:

Shizuo was once a normal Kyuzo, standing at 6’4 and 202 lbs, an average height for their race, with a narrow frame and lithe legs, well toned from a life of hard work and training. Their skin a rich green in color, and their eyes sunken in and possessing a bright yellow quality to them, almost appearing to glow. Most striking as well was that Shizuo was missing an arm, a wound he inflicted upon himself during a bloody battle against his own people. However, while Shizuo might have once appeared frail on the outside due to both build and injury, they were most certainly powerful and dangerous. Previously, they always wore a re-breather mask, designed to look like a fanged maw, and wore a large brimmed war helmet.

However, Shizuo has undergone a radical change to his appearance. Altered by Magick, Shizuo now stands at 7'0, and weighs 319 lbs, an absolutely monstrous physique enhanced via the powers of the Nightsisters. Flesh, Muscle, and Bone, were torn asunder and remade by the guiding hand of Arianna Marris into a perfect warrior and weapon. His face now resembles that of a humans, but horribly disfigured. The flesh along the sides of his face missing, exposing his teeth, dark green skin mixing with discolored gray flesh, forming a skull like pattern and a deathly quality to his face. His eyes still burn with their orange glow, now enhanced with the darkness residing in him. He sports dark green hair slicked back and kept tied in a topknot.

ATTRIBUTES:

Shizuo’s biology as a Kyuzo and his regime of physical training, make him both incredibly strong and highly fast, capable of both strength and agility that can catch the unprepared off guard. The lessened gravity compared to the Kyuzo homeworld does, however, have its downsides. Phatrong’s gravity gave the Kyuzo dense muscles and fast reflexes, but when living on a world without this pull, the Kyuzo had to previously train vigorously and often in order to stave off muscular atrophy. Additionally, he once had to wear heavier clothing to give his muscles the proper strain in order to make use of his unique biology. Finally, the need for a breathing mask meant that he was always one lucky strike away from becoming physically ill from the soft air of a normal world.

Shizuo however, had to learn to compensate for these weaknesses, as well as the limitation his own body possesses. Shizuo’s lost arm served as a catalyst for his rage, a humiliation for which the sith could draw great power from. Shizuo did not hide from this mark of defeat, but instead embraced it, and used his natural gifts and his years of training in his Clovoc in order to maximize his combat potential to compensate for the single arm.

Being altered by magick has, however, changed many things about the sith. The pride that kept him from obtaining cybernetics is gone, and now he sports 2 arms once more. His aggression and rage have been amplified, and his mind has been refocused towards Power, above all. However, Shizuo has kept some of the driving forces within his life, his desires and dreams, and the pain it takes to realize them, in his mind. Emotion can be tempered into a blade, and Shizuo intends to wield it against all who threaten him, or his ideals.

He once focused almost all his efforts into increasing his skills with the Blade, to the point where he was rather lackluster in other aspects of the force not related to combat. Sensing emotions is vital for reading your enemies intent, moving faster, swinging harder, and enduring more, were all he cared for perfecting, and he couldn’t have cared less about twisting his lifespan or lifting boulders. However, this was born from an innate fear of his own power, turning it inwards towards himself, and afraid to extend it towards others. Now, Shizuo desires merely to grow stronger, so that me may begin bringing his dreams to life. He has learned Nightsister Lightning, and has shown affinity towards Force Fire, employing them to great effect against others.

PERSONALITY:

Shizuo is a man of complicated circumstances, combining a bleak nihilistic view with an idealistic optimism, bound together through a tenuous code of honor. He believes in a sense of Justice, in the concept of Fairness, and in Convictions to protect those people and things one cares deeply for. In fact, Shizuo holds these are some of the highest pursuits one can hope to obtain, and respects anyone who dares to try and make such things a reality. However, Shizuo also knows the world is not so simply black and white. Saving people from destruction goes hand in hand with bringing destruction upon others, you can’t save a village from pirates without butchering pirates for the villagers. Life is a cycle of hurting and killing each other in order to get what one wants, even in the simple act of gathering food or water, that is food and water another creature will not have, who needs it for survival.

It is this seemingly contradictory view that has led him to the Dark Side of the Force. If someone wants Justice, or Peace, or Prosperity, one has to fight for it, and fight for it with everything they have. You cannot hold back when pursuing your Dreams, you cannot show restraint against those fighting against your Cause, and you cannot deny your passions if you fight for your Beliefs. He sees the dark side of the force as the only way to change the world, rather than just accepting the world for what it is. For Shizuo, he is willing to carve a bloody path as a Brash Enforcer of the Old Empire, in order to achieve his dream of protecting his world from outside threats. If he can become a Dark Lord, if he can become strong enough, he can force everyone else to leave his people alone. For him, that is a cause worthy to fight for, and bringing the Kyuzo’s sense of honor to bear in a fight only makes him stronger, in his eyes.

BIOGRAPHY:

qiyi6awas5ey.png

"I do not blame the common folk, for being what they are. They are weak, cowardly, and fear too much for their lives in order to fight back. They demand others give them justice, because they cannot get it themselves. I am their Sword of Justice, and while I do not resent them for what they are, I do not excuse them from their place. So pray that you do not need me. And when I arrive, pray that you have done no wrong."

Shizuo was born into the Aramusha Clovoc, on his home world of Phatrong, in the Marshlands of Ogon. The planet Phatrong was a fractured world, with almost every nation being its own independent region. Ogon was a wetland whose waterways held many trade-routes, but that had begun to suffer the unfortunate effects of changing times. The kyuzo’s connection to other worlds allowed technology to flow into the region, flying vehicles had quickly replaced land-transports, and even those that were landbound no longer needed to worry about the difficult mountain passes or rocky canyons. In this changing times, the Aramusha Clovoc found itself fading from their world, and so changed focus from defenders of trade routes, to mercenaries and muscle for hire. The new job paid well, and the small group soon found itself being hired around the region to bodyguard or support local despots rule.

There was no Honor in this work, and no effort taken to preserve the traditions of their Clovoc. Shizuo’s father attempted to instill some of the traditions of his family to him, but the constant need to travel, bouncing from one employer to another, left him with little roots to call his own. Soon, Kyuzo was getting attention off-world as well, as foreigners became interested in hiring them as mercenary forces. Being one of the few Clovoc’s willing to work for anyone, his clan left to do battle across the stars. They fought for themselves, for their small group, against all manner of aliens, but it didn’t take long for Shizuo to realize who it was they were fighting. Workers trying to organize, slaves revolting against their captors, protests against governments, every dictator who needed some disposable muscle and expendable soldiers, would hire the Aramusha Clovoc. Shizuo soon began to become disgusted with his lot in life, with the leadership of his Clovoc, and the abandonment of not just their Homeworld, but their culture as a guardian of the marshes.

These feelings of frustration and anger soon began to eat him from the inside out. He wanted to defend people like the stories his father told. He wanted the Aramusha Clovoc to be a name that brought about tales of inspiration. He wanted to no longer see the Kyuzo die for conflicts they didn’t understand, and causes they didn’t believe in. When their clan leader brought them to their latest contract maker, a man in robes representing a Sith Empire, wanting them to attack a Imperial Republic, in a civil war they weren’t a part of, Shizuo had enough. It started with a simple comment of disgust, but as his Clovoc leader demanded he show respect, Shizuo could not hold back his tongue from lashing out. In his anger, Shizuo threw the first punch, and as his fellow Clovoc members began to seize him and hold him back, something came roaring to life inside of him. Shizuo had tapped into a talent that was rare on his world, a connection to the Force that had been almost lost. His father had tried to train in him the old ways, but never managed to fully teach him how to keep himself from losing his mind to the whims of this mysterious and overwhelming power.

Shizuo drew his sword and charged his leader, the cloaked investor seeming both intrigued and bemused at this turn of events. Shizou fought his former Leader and his bodyguards. Any who held him back were killed, and when someone finally managed to hold his arm back, Shizuo cut it off himself to continue his bloody assault. By the time it was over, Shizuo lay covered in his fellow Kyuzo’s blood, the dark side swirling within him and dying of blood loss. The cloaked figure, a member of the Old Empire of Sith, kept Shizuo alive, seeing the potential this alien had. His clovoc abandoned him to his fate, and soon Shizuo found himself embroiled into this strange new galaxy, finding how to harness this wild power to make his desires come true. Or at least, attempt to not die before he could even get his foot in the door.

~~THE STORY THUS FAR~~

Shizuo has spent his time with the sith, finding what it means to wield the dark side. He has seen those who seek power, those who seek battle, and those who truly believe in the Empire. Idealists, Survivors, and Blood thirsty killers, the Kyuzo has seen them all. The machinations of war have turned, the Republic weakening more and more, and Shizuo trying to take the opportunity to help seize power. An attack on Taanab helped set the opening note of his contribution, and a mission on Gizer sparked a sour note.

He has lost an Arm. His only other arm. Wounded and dying, he was brought into the care of Arianna Marris, who preformed a Nightsister Ritual to alter his body and mind. She gave him new prosthetic limbs, and empowered the darkness within him, twisting his body into something profane. Now, Shizuo awakens with a renewed sense of purpose, and a new outlook on all life. Pride had been his undoing, and Pride had held him back in battle. Fear had stayed his will from embracing the dark powers. That fear is gone, that pride extinguished. There is only the Rage and the Hunger now, the desire for blood and the rage of the inner darkness. It seeks to consume all, and Shizuo is no longer scared to oblige it. He continues to aid Arianna Marris, and learn of the Nightsister's powers from her and her methods.

SKILLS:

"There is an ancient proverb of the Kyuzo, that the path to true peace is reached when one's mind and body work in perfect harmony. If that is true, then there is nowhere more Peaceful then the Battlefield."

Shizuo Aramusha has trained in the use of Martial Arts since he was a child, the Aramusha Clovoc requiring all of its members to fight to give them the strength needed to fight against the changing times. Hand to Hand combat and combat using both sword-like weapons and improvised weapons are skills he continues to hone to this day, but they are not his only skills. The arts of stealth, of moving silently and being unseen, as well as the art of misdirection, the act of drawing someone's attention elsewhere and captivating people’s attention. These also served the Clovoc in making them sought after mercenaries, as their hit-and-run shock-and-awe military tactics allowed them to quickly destroy their foes with minimal casualties. Shizuo also has experience in surviving on his own, knowing how to find clean water, hunt for food, and ration his resources, and it has instilled a minimalist mentality to him.

Shizuo’s force powers are almost tied to that of his Saber skills. Formerly trained in 2 weapon combat, the Kyuzo forced himself to adopt a 1-handed style after losing an arm. While his training was a blend of traditional saber forms and Kyuzo martial arts, he began to experiment with other styles, slowly building up his repertoire to compensate for his injury, and drawing from different elements to do so. Since his adoption of cybernetic limbs and the infusion of nightsister magick, Shizuo has taken a stronger and less acrobatic approach, but also improvises his style, while fighting with much more aggression. He uses medium armor instead of light now, his feet more planted then before, and he has moved from using only a blade, to incorporating his fists, force powers, and even words in battle. His baseline had been Soresu, and he had drawn influence from Makashi, and experimented with Juyo.

Shizuo’s force abilities favored self-buffs, making himself faster, physically stronger, more reactive, and harder to kill. His reflexes are usually augmented, and Shizuo’s ability to use the force to skim surface level thoughts and intents from his opponents is uncanny, allowing him an almost six-sense in both negotiations and combat. His use of other such abilities, like Telekinesis, is rather weak however. He can move objects yes, but it is crude and with seemingly only brute force, and lacks the finesse to do targeted moves such as Force Choking or Holding someone in Place. Instead, his manipulation of energy, such as Force Flame or Force Flash, and now Nightsister Lightning, are more of his focus. He even uses a blaster now, when dealing with opponents at range.

At the heart of Shizuo's combat style, is his desire to enjoy battle, to feel the thrill of conflict and embrace his desire for Bloodshed. To him, combat and violence are simply the natural state of all things, and he has trouble now embracing practicality when necessary. Shizuo was all about conserving energy for powerful strikes, and so he employed all manner of techniques. Roving retreats to force his enemies to follow him, passive blocking to exhaust his enemies, full on breaking off battles to catch his breath, hiding to gain the element of surprise. Now he focuses more on pressing his advantages, to not give his opponents opportunities to think, and to break them down physically, before doing so mentally.

GEAR:

Shizuo enjoys a spartan lifestyle, finding it helps him better focus on growing as a person, rather then being distracted by material possessions. He possesses a set of medium armor which he tends to wear at all times, and abstains from using a breathing mask or helmet. The pain and discomfort are means of keeping in touch with the dark side, and no longer wishes to block his eyes from seeing his enemies in their full states. He has a single Lightsaber, A VBP-11 Blaster Pistol, A 15-A Locust Swoop Bike, and a Freighter. Shizuo's cybernetics are standard issue, and possess basic functionality.

Well this is a very interesting character @Cainhurst Crow. Certainly breaks the mold a bit, what with his goals, species, and....lopsidedness. Also, Aramusha? Very appropriate name in my book, second favorite FH char. Everything looks good though, and I hope he goes far in the Sith!

I concur with Narsi! Love the lightsaber design in particular! I would recommend putting a weight in the event that this character ends up in a PvP scenario! When you've done that, tag me! @Cainhurst Crow
