Ships Crew Interest Check
Hello one and all, all and one - and welcome to the obligatory ships crew interested check that each and every timeline ever has. This time around, I am looking to form a small group of RPers, up to five people in total, to join me on a merchant vessel - a modest Nexus II Freighter - and head out into the space lanes, grafting our way across the Galaxy in an attempt to stay alive, and maybe make some credits in the process.
So, what will we do Norbs?
Boy, I am glad you asked that, voice-in-my-head. The focus of the group will be driven around plots, or a series of open threads, in which we visit multiple stops (planets, stations, and even deep space related incidents) on the way to completing our delivery. On the way, we will have some DMed challenges come our way, or we may (as the threads are open) fall into conflict or partnership with other players.
Ultimately, the group must deliver its payload, intact and as close to on time as we can, whilst reacting to the events the galaxy throws at us.
What characters are you looking for?
Ideally I am looking for characters who would fit into a low income, high risk job setting. Maybe you are former military, down on your luck and looking for work? Maybe you had been born into this businesses, just like your parents had been. You will be tough, strong and handy with a pistol - but nothing to fancy, after all, weapons are expensive and credits are hard to come by. I am looking for the 'hard-working men and women of the Galaxy' not force using, light saber flashing super-warriors.
Due to the nature of the ship, we would start out as 'jack of all trades' (mostly deckhands and engineers) and then specialise as the group develops (security, engineer, medic etc) and we 'graduate' onto larger vessels.
Do we get sick gear and mad monaaaay?
You get a space suit, a pistol and a versatech cosmo-wrench, anything else we need to pick up on the way. #LivingTheDream
What will our first mission be?
To introduce the group, we will naturally be doing a shipping mission, travelling down the following route:
- Kuat
- Onderon
- Praxis Trade Station
- Mandalore
- Serrenno
