Ship for Jedi

How would I go about getting a ship from the Order? Can I have a personal starship made for me like so many did in canon? Or do I actually have to Rp getting money? Also if the Order can get me one should I wait until I'm a Knight to do so?

Me thinks it's either you choose one when making the char if it fits the story, or have him buy/comandeer one at a future point.

Or you can cheat, age your character when they become a Knight, and come up with a story about how they got it...

Well I assume being able to go around the galaxy to do my Jedi duties without riding the Galactic Space Bus would help a Jedi out.

I felt it belonged here cause it had to do with the Jedi Order giving a Jedi a ship. Hence Jedi business.

You mean like owning something? I don't think so. Maybe for the Old Jedi Order but not the new one. Having lots of luxurious things is probably frowned upon though.

I say just have him buy it off a trader at some point, maybe a small fighter like Obi-Wan and Anakin had with the rings that let them do hyperspace jumps. Have it where you or another char fixes it up, etc etc etc

That kind of fighter is what I'm looking for but how would I go about buying anything? Its not like Jedi have a salary. That's what made me curious as to how I was going to get a ship and that led to me making this thread lol.

The Jedi have a military. You ask your Master if you can requisition a ship, or at least that's what I did. It wouldn't be much different from a military issuing soldiers guns and uniforms, albeit on a bit of a larger scale. That way, the Order can send you out on missions without having to hold your hand on logistics, because you already have your transportation.

EDIT: Unless your Master is really high up, however, it would probably be difficult to justify upgrades worth six times the cost of the stock model...I got lucky, lol. But if you were to get to know me, I might be able to help you out after I pull more of my own weight ;)
