Trys knew she was going rogue. She had quit the Rangers force after putting in over twenty years in the service because her district planet banned Jedi. She would never stand for anything that dictated the planet was no longer home to her son. She had been infamous in the core and she hoped to use some of that reputation to gain a meeting with a Senator that had been actively vocal and fighting back against the Sith. Onderon’s forces had dealt a decisive blow to the Sith by taking out a critical academy and that was sign enough that Cassian Graves was the right man to meet with.

The former Ranger was dressed sharp - a dress shirt with a blazer on top and pants that conformed to her figure. She had no desire to show off the tattoos just yet and deal with any prejudices. Without the backing of the Rangers, she was operating entirely alone and on her own agenda. She had to convince the Senator to fund her or work with her to continue driving initiatives against the Sith.

Trys was waiting in the lobby of a diplomatic building where an attendant had told her to take a seat while Cassian finished up his last appointment. She was seated and slightly hunched over, tapping her foot impatiently. A few people paused when they recognized her though they were too nervous to say anything. Her face had been splashed across multiple media outlets years ago so people wondered if it was truly her.

The turbolift came to a creaking stop on the ground floor, stainless steel doors sliding open with a familiar ding to reveal the lobby of the senate building. Cassian peeked at the chrono beneath his suit sleeve before stepping out of the lift. Ordinarily, this was when he called it quits for the day and left the office behind, but tonight he had one last and rather unusual appointment. With a Sector Ranger.

A former Sector Ranger, according to the personnel file he'd instructed his assistant to pull earlier that day. Trys Aran, a lieutenant that had recently up and quit after twenty years of service. Baffling behavior, really, to walk away from a career that must have grown intrinsic after so many years. Cassian didn't have the diligence or the patience to start all over again, as much as might have considered the possibility. Not after all the time and energy he put into this career, into winning the hearts of the people of Onderon.

The lobby was mostly empty, except for security, receptionists, and those stragglers unfortunate enough to have gotten caught in idle, meaningless water cooler chat. He spotted her right away, seated alone and dressed in a dark blazer and dress shirt. Since when could rangers afford the nicer things in life? The Zeltron straightened his tie and approached her, asking, as if he wasn't sure, "Lieutenant Aran?"

Of course he recognized her. He'd flipped through her file earlier today, and she had appeared multiple times on the news. She'd been one of the most well known rangers, along with Corran Velt and Bast Emblai. As much as he loathed his daily briefings, it was necessary for any politician to remain well appraised of the galaxy's day to day news broadcasts. He just didn't want her to know he recognized her.

"Sorry to keep you waiting." His smile widened into a grin, extending a hand to shake. "I hope you're not here about those speeding tickets last year." A little joke, just to break the ice. In truth, he had no idea why she was here or why she wanted to meet with him, but he had squeezed her into his schedule, nonetheless.

Several eyes lingered on the pair. Apparently Lieutenant Aran's fame proceeded her, even on Onderon. The Zeltron withdrew his hand after that, gesturing toward the front door. "Walk with me?" It had been a long day, and Cassian needed a stiff drink. Judging by her bouncing foot, either from nerves or from impatience, she could probably use one too. @Sreeya
