Mygeeto was where Rhea chose to hold her test. Around her rose ice pinacles shaped like jagged teeth; a glacial wind howled through them. She stood on ancient stone steps, flakes of snoke and ice swirling around her as the snowstorm raged overhead. The Force sustained her where others of her species might have already frozen to death. With her was another Dark Jedi (@Orbit)—she suspected one whose importance went beyond that of a casual partnership with Alais Drast, though she had no concrete evidence—and one with whom she still knew so little about.
But that was about to change. Now that Alais insisted that his man, Sirius, was to join the group on Prakith, Rhea had decided to test his usefulness for herself. The girl could have her consorts, her boyfriends, her mates, as she pleased (and if that was truly how she viewed the man), but Rhea did not want her to invite distractions into the group. Distractions that might limit her overall effectiveness. So Rhea had invited Sirius to Mygeeto, whose freezing tundras had killed many humans, but had a special connection to her past.
"It was here that I first began to learn the secrets of the Force—and here where I first felt the call of the dark side," Rhea explained to the man on the steps beneath her. "This world is cold—it is cruel and unforgiving. It is impossible, I think, for even the staunchest Jedi not to feel the call of the dark side here in such an uncompromising and unforgiving environment. But I have not brought you here to acquaint you with my past, Sirius." She appraised him from under the cowl of her robes. "I have brought you here so that I might see what she has come to see—if, that is, there is anything to see at all. I wish to see just how powerful you are with the dark side; but, more than that, how perceptive and resourceful you are, as well." She raised an eyebrow. "Do you think you could survive such a test?"
