Shades, Criminals, Soldiers, Droids (Open to Shades and rouges)

Hekan was alone. Viewed as an outcast by the rest of the Shades, Hekan trusted no one. Alone outside the enclave he stood guard outside the perimeter keeping his thoughts concealed he pondered his situation. The rain drenched his robes. A bolt of lightning iluminated the sky of Thyferra.

"The fools," he thought to himself. "None are more powerful then me. They know it and yet they keep me as a lowly Knight." He smirked. "The worst of all is that blasted Cain" again keeping his thoughts concealed. "He thinks I am healed from my recent crusade against the Jedi. Well, he's right. But know my vengence has turned on him."

Hours passed and Hekan detected no movement. Yet he sensed a growing rage far off. It was so powerful that at one point Hekan thought that some Dark-side power had been unleashed upon Thyferra. The feeling quickly subsided though and all returned to normal.

Dawn was approaching. It was in the new light that Hekan noticed the slight hum of a droid nearby. Reaching out with the Force he found the droid in bushes nearby and felt its gaze upon him. Then without even making a sound the droid began to leave. Suspicious, Hekan used his powers of invisibility and began following the droid.

He followed the droid for sometime before he came to a small camp. About 20 beings were present and all were armed to the teeth. One in the middle was talking loudly to the other and Hekan tried to listen in.

A Shade stood behind Hekan and put his right hand upon Hekan's shoulder.

"What's going on?" he whispered.

It was Quentell Xall. He decided to go for a walk to think about things. He often got up early in the morning, because things were most peaceful in the morning. It helped clear his mind.

He looked over to the group of armed men and did not understand what they were doing here. It was very supicious though and they looked like they were about to attack the enclave. He removed his right hand from Hekan's shoulder and grabbed his lightsaber. He did not ignite it yet, but he kept it ready, just in case.

He was battle ready and the Force flew through his veins. His heart beated faster, but he remained calm and focused.

He kept staring at the group, as he waited for Hekan to respond...

 

[Kath]

"Ah Quentell. Its good to have you here." Hekan spoke softly. "Im not sure whats going on but I'd bet a million credits they are about to attack us. Yet I'm not sure. They obviously don't have the numbers to attack."

Hekan looked at Quentell's lightsaber. "I don't think you'll need that yet" he said. "We still don't know what they are up to. Lets see if we can get a better vantage point. Shall we?"

With that Hekan lept into the trees and landed silently on a branch. He motioned for Quentell to do the same slowly made his way closer and closer to the speaker.

Quentell nodded and put away his lightsaber.

"Yes, I was holding it just in case."

As Hekan lept into the trees, Quentell followed him. As they sat in the trees, looking down at the group, Quentell said: "What oh what are these guys doing here? Let's open ourselves to the Force, and listen to what they have to say."

 

[Kath]

Hekan nodded but noticed something else. Another group of soldiers was coming in from the far side of the camp. Hekan could at least sense 30 more soldiers and could barely detect 10 war droids among them.

He let the Force flow through him and listned to the speaker.

(OOC: We are just waiting on Viggy to reply as the leader of the soldiers. He will be NPCing them.)

 

[Viggy]

The Trandoshan captain walked at the head of his column of 30 soldiers, rhythmically tapping his claws against his battle armour as he looked at the slightly smaller gathering of troops in the campsite. His name was Xorahd, and he had been chosen for this mission because of his unique talents as a Force-sensitive rogue.

"Greetingssss," Xorahd hissed, holding up his fist in greeting to the other rogues while his men moved up behind him. "Good to sssee that you came."

The other group's leader nodded. "Likewise. I'm Captain Jarek. I've already debriefed my men and -"

"Ssssilence," Xorahd growled. "I'm in charge now. And I’ve got bad newssss…” He leaned in close and whispered very quietly. “Two Jedi pigss are watching usss, from the treessss… I sssmell their filthy hides…”

Jarek looked shocked and frightened, and immediately turned his head up to the branches. Xorahd smirked and turned around, drawing his blaster but not pointing it anywhere yet. “Have your men move up with my droidssss, and attack the main entranccce… Mine will sssplit up and cover your flanksss… I will handle the Jedi here. Go.”

Jarek nodded curtly, and started shouting orders to both groups of men. As the rogue soldiers dispersed, Xorahd pointed his blaster up into the branches in the rough direction of the Jedi he had smelled, and fired a hail of bolts into the leaves, hoping to kill them before they knew he knew about them.

Quentell listened through the Force at the conversation between the Trandoshan and captain Jarek. After the conversation, Quentell wanted to speak to Hekan, but he was interrupted by blaster bolts.

In the blink of an eye, he ignited his lightsaber and deflected the bolts.

"Seems like that Trando over there wants us dead. Let's show him what we've got. We'll have to take him out as soon as possible, so we can warn the enclave. Or you'll have to warn them now. I'll keep this guy busy."

He leaped out of the tree towards the Trandoshan and landed right before him. He reached out his left hand and threw a flashing wave of Force Lightning at his attacker.

 

[Kath]

Hekan ignited his deep red blade and jumped to the ground beside his comrade. "I'll make a run for the enclave!!" Hekan turned and sprinted back towards the enclave hopefully arriving before the rouges.

Shortly Hekan ran into a rear guard of three soldiers. They spotted him and opened fire with repeating blasters. Hekan was a blur, deflecting blaster bolts into trees and back at his attackers. One found its mark and hit one of the two humans in the chest. The air smelt of burnt flesh. The other Human and a Trandoshan continued pouring fire at him. Hekan advanced closer and closer, before finally loping of the humans hands with his lightsaber. The man screamed and fell. Hekan ended his misery with a quick thrust through the heart. The Trandoshan cast aside his blaster and rushed Hekan with a vibroblade. Hekan ducked the high slash aimed at his head and thrust his blade through the Trando's stomach.

"Should I let him live to interrogate?" Hekan thought to himself. "NO there is no time. I must warn the others." Hekan raised his blade and decapitated the helpless Trando. Hekan noticed the Republic insignia on the rouge's shoulders. He began sprinting back to the enclave in a very bad mood.

Later Hekan arrived at the enclave. He had passed the rouges a short time before bypassing them by jumping through the canopy of the forest. Hekan ran into the enclave and hit the alarm. "Intruders!" he screamed. "Soldiers are at our doorstep bent on wiping us out! Fight for your lives!"

Having Just returned to the shade order base after well an "extended leave of absence" Mia was caught off gaurd by the intruder alert that sounded as she disembarked from her ship. Taking out her lightsaber she reviewed what little powers she had to use push, pull, speed, leap, and very very weak lightning. smiling to herself about the prospect of finally using the lightsaber in actual combat she rushed to the doors.
