Milo Drast's Frigate: The Violator

Markov, with two of his own troopers, donned the title "The Warrior's Guard", followed the troopers to the location of his meeting while the frigate began travel in space. He had been invited by Milo, a fellow Sith to meet with him on his personal Frigate to discuss the current state of the Sith and their connections with other people throughout the galaxy and especially the Sith Order. Given that he has worked with Milo multiple times on diplomacy throughout the galaxy, he respected this Crusader.

He intended to discuss possible plans for the future to help both of them become more prominent in the Sith and the galaxy, by doing multiple different kinds of tasks. Markov felt confident that he will be able to work to both of their benefits. To him, honestly, he felt Milo Drast would be a very promising Lord to the Order if he were to become one, which is possibly soon.

The two guards lead him into what was most likely a meeting room aboard the ship. Removing his hood, he looked around to catch the details, which he felt were quite interesting and cool. Markov's guards stood behind him as the two troopers left him as he then caught sight of his fellow Sith. He gestured his two guards to leave the chamber as he spoke with a calm tone,"We meet again, Crusader. I appreciate you for inviting me to your ship to discuss matters; it's quite intriguing to say the least..."

Aboard the Violator, ???? local time
The constant hum of the ship's engines was usually drowned out by all the other sounds of the frigate, but here, they were the only thing audible. It was one of the quietest places one could find on the whole ship, and a perfect place to contemplate things or hold meetings. Milo could not help but think back to his first discussion with Varyn, back when he was still just a Lord and Milo was still an Acolyte. He knew he needed friends in high places, and had a good feeling about the man. Now, he had the ear of the Emperor and was one of the Empire's most trusted and discrete operatives, despite only being a Crusader. It was simply a name, after all—usefulness transcended rank. He hoped that would be the case with the Acolyte he would be meeting today.

It was an unlikely pair, but that was all the more reason to call on him; Milo liked to have eyes everywhere, and having "unlikely friends" ensured people would not be able to realize the true extent of his network of contacts. His opinions on the man—which would form over the course of the meeting—would have to take the passenger seat for the purpose of this working relationship, but he didn't particularly mind.

The door hissed open and he looked up from his seat on one of the couches, noting two of the man's troopers behind him. He hoped those were the only ones that had tagged along; Milo had invited him and would have appreciated being told that there were more guests arriving, but that was simply the Commander in him trying to calculate logistics. The frigate only had so much sleeping space. He was glad to at least see that the troops did not enter.

"Welcome to the Violator, Acolyte Aletaus. I trust that all your needs have been accommodated thus far aboard my ship." His ship, and a symbol of his loyalty to the Emperor. It felt good for Milo to be aboard. He was always proud to show it off. "Feel free to take a seat. We have much to discuss." The seat in question was a few meters in front of Milo on the other couch, a small coffee table separating them. There were a few beverages—from caf to whiskey—on it in case the Acolyte was feeling thirsty.

As the door behind him shut, he was beckoned by the Crusader to sit and have a drink. The room as he looked around as he walked was calm and quiet, which to him was perfect for a more intimate setting for plans. Markov sat down in the couch across from Milo and had a relaxed but also a formal posture. Obtaining a drink and pouring it for him, he took in details about the Sith across from him and attempted to analyze his personality a little more. He knew this was the type of person he’d like to work with and despite him being a Drast, which stereotypically would mean he would be given easy entitlement, this didn’t matter to him. In he respected all of the ups and downs he has heard about him. “From what I have collected from our few missions together and the word about you, you have been quite busy lately, and it’s quite intriguing to me given your status. To me, you deserve to be given the title of Darth at this point, especially given there’s... some lords who don’t do as much as you for sure in terms of working for the emperor and the empire...” he began as he sipped his drink.

“Ah yes, I was at that funeral for the fallen warriors of the Sith, and Darth Victress was being called out in the terms of questioning her title and her accomplishments. At that time I had the instinct to protect her if I had to, but I did it more to gain trust. Now I have a different opinion... if it were truly Rule of the Strong then why is she in the dark council... You have proven to do more bold and powerful tactics than her to me and possibly the emperor himself... If Rule of the Strong was completely followed then you would be on the council instead of her...” he testified, and then Markov added, “She has also done actions that ruined my agenda... such as when I lead the coalition on Gamorr, I would go and persuade the Loyalist Warlord, but she came and I had to go in the background because of her presence despite it being my time...” it was obvious he did not like Victress from recent times and that he feels that she has been a wall for the two Sith that prevents them from truly prospering their agendas.

Milo's opinion of Markov had, truthfully, been shaky over the few months since he had first met the Acolyte. They had seen each other at the funeral on opposing sides, and done a few missions together, but had generally kept out of each other's way. The Crusader had harbored a mild dislike of Markov for some time, which had mellowed out to indifference soon enough. Now that the Acolyte was denouncing Victress, it seemed they had more in common than one would have previously thought. The ass-kissing was nice as well, he supposed, but Milo was not one to fall for it. He liked compliments, of course, so he nodded in gratitude rather than say anything. When the Acolyte finished, he looked at him, eyes scanning him down to the ridges in his armor.

"'Tis rather dangerous to be denouncing a Dark Councilor so openly, you know," he remarked after a brief silence. Then, he shrugged. "But you have come to the right place. While I don't outright hate her—yet—I do agree that she is not the best Councilor the Empire has seen." Once again, the humming of the ship took over the conversation as the Crusader took a moment to recollect his thoughts. "Question is: what to do about it? While not a very good 'ruler,' it seems a great many other Sith seem to have taken a liking and collaborate with her. I know it may be out of their own self-interest, but that does not undermine her network of contacts. Victress may be the things that she is, but the people love her for some reason." Then again, there was the slim chance that the masses realized one of their Dark Councilors was incompetent—she had not yet managed a single successful campaign—and rise up to push her away, but it would be foolish to bet on it happening any time soon.

Did Milo want to kill a member of the Dark Council? No. He just wanted to get her to start being useful. The Empire had been plagued by unfit leaders for too long, and she was growing to be a relic of the past—of Vrael's past.

Markov listened to Milo as he understood his statements. Yes, he didn't like the Councillor and he knew that she hasn't done much success for the Empire thus far, making her not as competent. "I agree. She hasn't done much to benefit the Empire, and if she were to be gone completely many of the Sith wouldn't like that. However, I feel that if either you become a councilor soon, or if we find a way to get her to benefit the Empire finally, then that could ascend our agendas..." he explained. "She isn't the best nor the worst, but to figure out how to deal with this situation, we need to find the real reason why she is so liked, and how we can use that to our advantage... In summary, I feel that you deserve to be on the council more than her by statistics primarily, and I would definitely attempt to help you accomplish whatever is needed to get to that.."

The hum of the ship cut through his dialogue as he tried to speak and continue stating his opinion as he agreed with Milo.
"I want to be useful in this Empire, and in my opinion if I work with you, that could assist both of our goals and the Empire, as we both are loyal to the Emperor. I haven't personally spoken with him, but my fidelity is towards him as he so far is far stronger than his predecessor..." He continued. Markov was on the opinion of working with Milo would be far better than Victress. So far, Milo has been more respectable and respectful to him, and their ideas are quite similar. He observed his armor as he waited for the response to his opinion. "We can either get her useful to the Empire in some way, either through our actions or another way, or we can make sure there's another leader to strengthen in addition to her. You're my superior; you know what to do to strengthen the empire by conquering this dilemma.."
