DESCRIPTION
Named for a Rebel war hero of the Galactic Civil War, the Serra is a light tank designed by SoroSuub to handle infantry support duties. It's not a heavy tank intended to take down the massive walkers of the Imperium on its own, so much as it is a sprightly, well armed, tool for opening up gaps in Imperium formations, and giving Rebel skirmishers some heavier firepower to mow down stormtroopers and lighter walkers. The main laser cannons are fixed forward facing, making the Serra more of an assault gun in technical terms, but the heavy blaster cannon is perhaps the most prominent weapon featured. Fast firing, and extremely big, the gunner manning it has to be a brave man as he'll attract fire from across the battlefield. But the gun is extremely efficient more than capable of destroying a speeder bike that might try to harass the Serra, and good at laying down suppressing fire.

The main strengths of the Serra however are less the sheer firepower it can bring to bear, and more how fast it can respond. The repulsorlift engines are massive, and constitute the majority of the weight, and are capable of allowing the tank to turn a dime. The Serra can run circles around heavier walkers, and a pair of them working together are more than capable of bringing one down with tow cable launchers. The Serra can be equipped with a number of additional weapons, such as a tow cable launcher, and is an extremely versatile platform in the hands of the Rebellion. The most distinctive of these is a 34 tube rocket launcher, that fires upscaled versions of the popular plasma rocket used in Bounty Hunter wrist launchers. The rockets are "dumb" and thus only have a limited range, and aren't very effective against fast targets. Against heavier targets, and emplacements however, they're more than enough to rip through a few layers of durasteel, and are often referred to as "Kashyyyk clarions" for the distinctive noise they make when fired. The tubes are mounted between the engine pods, allowing them to be rotated a full 360 degrees, and are launched and aimed via a rudimentary system tied in with the controls inside the tank.

The other major modification that can be made is the addition of flamethrowers, with two pointing out the forward viewports, and one on the port and starboard sides a piece. The flamethrowers, as one might imagine, are extremely good at setting things on fire. Anything flammable, or lacking a good resistance to flames is going to find itself in a world of hurt, but the modifications come at the expense of compromising the armor of the tank, and adding a lot of flammable liquids to the inside. Altogether the Serra is a versatile design, well suited to supporting fast and hard hitting Rebel strikes against Imperium worlds, and making sure that more brave Rebels live to fight another day.

INTENT
Well it turns out the Rebellion doesn't have any ground craft nor have they ever had any ground craft. Gotta fix that real quick.
