OOC: Open to one other Jedi, preferably a padawan.
Berchest was really pretty. Its crystalline cities were like something out of a fantasy, so Maura was far from surprised to know that tourism was one of their biggest exports. Everything seemed so perfect, from the cleanliness of the streets to the sweet scent of salty ocean air. Their mission here was a breeze too - they were just doing goodwill! Stuff like helping people move boxes, shopping for old people, picking up litter... it was a little boring, especially for Maura, but the scenery made it a bit better.
"C'mon! We're gonna be late!"
Maura and Dante - a younger padawan she'd buddied up with for today - had been off perusing the market. She'd originally pulled him there because she wanted to try the street food, but she'd only ended up buying an apple since the prices were higher than she was willing to spend. "Race you back?" Without any more warning than that, Maura dashed off, heading back toward the lower city where they'd been staying with the other Jedi. They were supposed to be back by noon to start their day, but it looked like Maura and Dante were gonna be a little itty bit late.
As they approached the lower city, the streets and buildings got older and less nice. It was by no means a slum, but it was abundantly clear that there was a wealth gap in this place. The smell of cigarras joined the sea breeze, and the calm chatter of the upper city was replaced with much louder, much more rambunctious energy. She kind of liked it better though. It felt more alive.
