Exoleen/Exoleen Navy Galleon
14:32

vlcsnap-2019-08-08-20h02m02s169.png

"Oh come on!!! Is it really necessary to keep me in here?! Sure I might have used one crate too many to blow a hangar open...but hey, nobody's perfect! There's like serial killers and stuff you can lock up!" a voice called out from a cell on board a Gorath-Janteel Galleon belonging to now-fully functioning Exoleen navy. The voice belonged to the Zabrak Mandalorian, Sumas Solus. And as usual he got carried away and now he was paying the price for it.

He stood by the cell door with his hands wrapped around the thick bars. His armour and weapons were completely stripped. Everything was gone, even the dagger he tried to hide in his boot. He gave the bars a punch and just leaned against it. Of course this was just a temporary cell. Once they land he will either be tried, locked up further, executed...perhaps all of the above. He had no desire for that life.

He looked around for anything that could help. The sink and bunk bed caught his eye...as well as the vent in the centre of the ceiling that was way too high for any single person. "Hey, cell next door. You alive?" he called out and slammed his fist into the wall to get their attention...if there was anybody there.

Of all the places to get caught in, this was by far not the most dire.

However, she really had nothing to do with this, and was quite literally at the wrong place at the wrong time. But regardless of evidence, she was not keen on being imprisoned any longer than absolutely necessary. She had a family and home to come back to, and no damned cell was going to keep her pinned in for too long.

However, the loudmouth was being a pain.

When the guard had come within swinging range, two of them were stunned and three of them unconscious before they finally managed to subdue her just enough to remove her armor. Thank the stars she could conceal so much in such baggy pants... and that they had given up trying to pin her down much longer.

She just kept ripping through the restraints.

This was a galleon, practically identical to the one her malmaus manned. Her lips twitched at the irony. Based on what she had seen, these were essentially crew quarters retouched to be prisoner cells. Some things you had to be grateful for... including the fact that some of these cells would have access panels, recessed and hidden from most hot-blooded, idiotic prisoners.

Clearly, she was an exempt idiot. But to lump her in with this Mandalorian...

She realized he was talking to her. She had been pacing, flexing her fists every now and then, eyeing the walls and floors. Was he that bored now, to torment her when she was thinking?

She took a deep breath before answering. Perhaps, if he proved himself less talkative, she could possibly take him aboard with her. Maybe.

But first, she wanted her karking armor back.

"Ja, am alive," she rumbled back, pausing to glance out at the hallway with a scowl.

"Now tell me what in all the Gods were you doing, boy? I need answers for vhat I have been dragged into."

A voice spoke up from next door which made Sumas feel so much better, though he was a bit curious about her accent. She asked what he did that caused them both to end up here...then called him boy. "Hey! I'm far from a boy, alright! I got my tattoos, you know!" he fired back, clearly she struck a nerve with the proud Zabrak. He drew a breath to relax before speaking. "Look, all I wanted to do was break into a hangar and steal a ship...granted maybe using 4 crates of explosives to open a hangar door might have been slightly overkill. What were you doing there anyway? It was supposed to be deserted." he explained. He was curious as to why she was there, though. It would be funny if it was actually her ship he was trying to steal, though that seemed rather unlikely...

Turning his attention back to escaping, he looked at the sink and the panel hiding the circuits of the door controls. Since he wasn't all that clued up with lock-picking he would leave that as a last resort. Now, he wasn't an expert on ship designs, but these cells looked like crew compartments. And they didn't keep in mind that people might try to climb through the wall...and what better place to start than through a hole for the sink. "Do me a favour quickly. Check your sink. Does it sit around 3 meters from the cell door on the left wall? he asked as he walked over to it. If they could break the sinks out and pry a hole open then they could access each other's cell. But first there was the case of the vent...

"That vent in your ceiling. Do you think you'll be able to squeeze through it? he asked her, though he had a feeling that with her voice she probably wasn't a small frame at all...at least only one had to get through to open the cell door.

She snorted at his indignant response; she had caught a glimpse of her fellow prisoner, and was suitably amused that there was such an uproar over this particular male. But these days, anyone younger than her felt like a child... still, she could not blame his pride.

That amusement quickly faded when he mentioned stealing a ship. With guards posted around the perimeter of the hallway leading out of the prison galley, could he get any louder with his confession of messing about?

"...Four crates?" She grunted, shaking her head. "You're telling me I vas dragged in here as a suspected accomplice because some strákur with his eye on a shiny prize decided he wanted to see a hangar explode?" She gritted her teeth, eyes narrowing.

"Sonnur, I vas on business. Legitimate business vith fellow engineer. And now, they suspect me as your accomplice." She scowled, and was about to take a deep breath to say something else... but then he spoke up again. She gritted her teeth, glancing about. Sure enough, there was the sink.

"...Ja." But the vent...

"...Maybe," she muttered thoughtfully, eyeing the space. It would be a tight fit... but no tighter than the space she had to endure once when she first woke up on the Killer Ree. Speaking of... her ship was now gone. Kark.

But there was an idea... she glanced over to where his voice was coming from, and then towards the door.

When glancing at the small viewing window, she realized there were three guards. Two posted towards the end of the hall, their backs to them. 40 meters, same for the other guard on the other end. She hummed in contemplation, last she recalled their weapons storage was to the left, where the two guards were posted, and the access panels for that floor of the galleon were to the right. One would have to provide distraction, perhaps, while the other used the access panels in either room to escape and tap into the ship mainframe. From there, they could sound a false all-safe code...

It just had to work. From the looks of things, this was not a maximum security prison, but light. That was their first mistake.

"Right. Before I try anything, I must ask. How good are you at distraction, or ships?" She asked, testing her weight against the sink.

So far so good...

The woman went on to rant in her curious accent about her predicament, and Sumas merely nodded along as if listening to a song and following the beat. She finally stopped ranting and confirmed that the sink was there. She also mentioned that she might be able to fit through there. Since this wasn't supposed to be a prison in the first place Sumas doubted that there were traps or systems in the vents to prevent people from escaping.

"Okay, smashing. Now, those vents are too high for a single person to reach, so what if we broke these sinks off and use the hole to get to the other's cell? That way we can give each other a lift to get to the vent." he explained then waited for an answer...but it didn't come.

Instead he saw the sink move and groan as if someone was standing on it. Sumas blinked, trying to figure out what she was doing. "What are you doing?" he asked her, watching the sink. She didn't answer the question, but she did ask him one. One that was right up his alley."I can do repairs on ships and I can pilot them pretty good...as for distractions, well, it depends on how big a distraction you want." he said with a voice filled with confidence. He could certainly do distractions. "What distraction do you need, though?" he asked, raising an eyebrow. He didn't think about that part...

So the thing could at least hold her weight... somewhat.

She wasn't going to test that again, though. But breaking the sinks would definitely get attention... as it was, the guards were relatively close to begin with, and the boy, pardon, man was not the quietest in the systems.

"As good a distraction as you can manage," she grunted, eyeballing the vent. One good push and she could probably shove straight through, though it was going to be a tight squeeze of a time. Not to mention busting out this loud-mouth was no doubt going to be a bigger pain than anticipated... why was she always rescuing the younger ones?

There were several ways to escape without needing to shoot them all down. Though she wouldn't be remiss in doing so...

She clambered up again, and the sink groaned... but it held.

"Just long enough for me to make it up there," she grunted, gritting her teeth. When the original blueprints of the galleon were made by hers and Saxon's collaboration, the rooms were made with small cells and low ceilings. Perhaps they anticipated regular-sized occupants to stretch hard to reach...

But they didn't count an annoyed Deuc as a member to look out for.

"Big distraction. Be a pain if you must, in 3...2..."

She managed through, with a small screech of resistence from the vent itself as she managed to leap up, clawing her way up with a hard grunt. She let out a hiss as one of the bent pieces of metal sliced across her palm, but she kept going, wriggling in as best she could manage. It was just enough to army crawl through, too small perhaps for her cellmate. She was not small either; hopefully, they didn't think to check her cell as well.

She began to slowly make her way towards where the one lone guard stood, taking care to half-slither, half crawl over.

Hopefully her companion could be a massive pain. It would make her life much easier.

Sumas blinked at her answer. He was in a cell...with nothing to use. "A good distraction? That helps." he commented as he looked around, trying to think of something to cause a big enough distraction.

He heard the sink groan further and she started counting down.

"3"

"Wait, hold up..."

"2"

"UMMM..."

1

"AND IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIeeeeIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII will ALWAYS LOVE YOUuuuuuUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he screamed at the top of his lungs, bashing against the sink and the cell door and "singing" as hard as he could. One thing is certain...Zabraks aren't known for their singing voices.

But it paid off. His horrendous screaming got the attention of the guards who now seemed properly annoyed with him. That was probably their favourite song he just butchered. All 3 guards came over to his cell and the door opened to a fist clocking the Zabrak across the jaw and sending him recoiling back...and drawing all 3 into his cell.

The one who punched him was first. Sumas recovered in a flash and grabbed hold of the guard, reeled back, and head-butted the man to the floor and leaving a few bleeding holes on his forhead where the Zabrak's horns made contact. The second pulled a stun baton, but Sumas grabbed his arm and broke his wrist. He grabbed the baton just as the man hit him in the gut with his fist and whacked the man across the jaw, knocking him out. The last drew a baton as well but Sumas hit him in the gut and across the jaw to knock him out as well.

He stood over the 3 guards, slightly heaving from the gut punch and wiping a blood trail from his lip. "You guys suck at martial arts." he grumbled and bent down to loot them. He had 3 stun batons and commlinks. That could come in handy if push came to shove.

Now all he had to do was find his companion...

Roll to distract the guards(Barely a success)
Roll to knock out guards once they're in the cell.(Success)

She paused just long enough to wonder at the horrible yowling occurring down the small shaft, before shaking her head, restraining a snort of laughter. By the Andar, but the lad had the worst singing she had ever heard, only seconded by a drunken female Twi'lek she had met once during one of her jaunts to Nar Shaddaa. Kark, that had been nearly a decade ago...

Judging on the sound, no alarm had been raised yet... But that did not mean that it couldn't be when the next guard shift came to relieve their companions. Though she had judged that the crew was skeletal based on the resources of Exoleen, that didn't mean they weren't capable of subduing her and her companion once more, and perhaps putting them in a more maximum security cell.

One where a tall woman could not access a vent.

She peered down the hallway where the lone guard had been posted. Seeing nobody there, she gave a silent nod of approval. At least her companion could keep them distracted enough for her to access the ship hardware mainframe; the crew quarters these cells were fashioned from had a security override access on every floor for those of the crew that were in for less-than-voluntary service... to be subdued.

She still remembered liberating the crew of their own galleon; shame these lads seemed a bit more faithful to authority.

The hall was all clear, but they weren't exactly up on time. She slid down ungracefully hard, grunting as the impact jarred up her knees.

But there it was.

A sleek grey rectangle set into the durasteel wall; she had to be careful, one wrong wire and the whole ship would go into lockdown.

Not the worst thing in the galaxy, but not something you wanted to deal with on top of escape.

Thick bundles of cables roped up neatly behind the blinking access panel. She wasn't about to trot back to the guards and politely request a code; manual override or bust it was. Sometimes, she just had to question her luck, or if some lonely God was laughing at her frustrated attempts at living.

"Red is for roses, blue is for sorrow... yellow is shocking, white for tomorrow...She muttered quietly, grasping at the red and white.

She took a breath.

And tugged hard, slicing across with the only vibroknife she had still managed to stash. The benefit to cargo pants was, if you struggled enough, those that tried to search you would just give up.

She exhaled when she didn't hear an alarm... and then trotted over to where her companion's cell was, arms crossing with a sardonic grin.

"So, vhivh one do you vant the uniform of? I claim the brunet. Also, vhat in the Gods' names was that noise? Singing or pain?" Icy eyes glittered with amusement, as she began stripping the guard of his uniform from his slack body, slipping on the commlink and relieving him of his stun baton.

There was no time to waste, but to get up and going.

The woman stood in front of him with folded arms. He eyed her with a smirk as she joked about his voice that worked quite well. "I'm sorry, was that even galactic basic? I didn't understand a word you said." he fired right back with a smug grin as he handed her a baton and moved over to steal a uniform. One guy started to stir but Sumas quickly knocked him back down with a solid punch.

"What did you do, by the way? I caught you over by the control panel. he asked as he dressed up in the guard's uniform that felt more like a jumpsuit. With everything set and all their belongings with him he led the way out of the cell and sealed it behind him. They're going to be stuck for a while without a way to get to the lock.

He looked to his new companion then around the area. "We need to get to the armoury, I heard they stash the prisoners' stuff there. I hope you're more familiar with this type of ship than I am. I'm really not an expert on heavy freighters like these." he admitted as he looked around a bit more. If he were in his armour then sure, he could go traipsing around a bit more to see where everything was, but in this situation there was no chance that he could explore now. They needed their gear and they needed to get out.

He looked at the woman again and extended his right hand. "Sumas Solus. Thanks for the help." he said casually as he held his hand for her to shake. Not that she helped much with his part of his escape, but it was the polite thing to say.

Solus... Mandalorian. Made sense. Probably explained the terrible singing and exploding hangars.
Actually, ja, made more sense the more she dwelled on that thought.
The first guard's uniform was a bit short, but she could make do. It was light armor, basic, too light for her tastes. Too exposed. Even the helm was pathetic; there was no facial coverage! They just strapped lads to stun batons and gave them the fear of orders, no wonder they were taken down by one Zabrak. She smirked at his smart comments, perking a black brow in response.

"Manual override. I co-own a ship almost just like this one... except with my man, we made it better than this fancy-arsed junk heap. I've designed far better than these, though..." She smiled wryly, lightly thumping one fist against a durasteel wall.

Prisoner armory. Huh. Not many ships kept them separate floors; kept things much easier to keep them all tightly managed and contained. If prisoners broke free of their rooms and were reported, the armory and all guards would have all entrances on lockdown. Hence the override... if they made it to the armory, the guards there could still try to trip the alarm to the upper levels.

But once they would have their equipment, escape was going to be much easier.

She stared at the hand a moment... then slowly extended her own, a slight smirk still perched on her lips.

"Eva Stark. Not clear yet, don't say thank you so soon."

Checking to see if everything worked with a final nod, she jerked her head left, then strode out, taking care to lock the doors once more when Sumas came up behind her. Better safe than sorry.

She shook his hand and he flashed a smile in return. With that she led the way to the armoury. She locked the door behind them which will buy some time if those guards woke up.

She led the way through the corridors, dodging the odd guard until they reached a door that belonged to the armoury. A guard was walking down the corridor towards their position. They could knock him out but without a place to hide him they would have issues. The only option is to bluff and walk right past him, acting like guards. Sumas mouthed to Eva a quick "follow my lead" then rounded the corner casually while pulling her along to get her to walk with him.

"As I was saying, I'm really curious as to what the hell landed on Korriban that could kick the Sith's asses that badly. Like, what kind of space magic..." he looked up to the guard walking past. "...oh, suh dude." he said with a goofy smile, flick of his head and a half-hearted 'peace' sign. The guard looked a bit lost at the odd greeting but kept on walking...maybe a bit faster now, judging by the sound of his footfalls on the durasteel floor. Soon he was nowhere to be seen and they were in front of the door to the armoury. "What do you think are the odds of this keycard working?" he asked and pulled the keycard of the guards downstairs.

He slotted it in and the system beeped...and flashed red. The light then turned yellow. If they tried again and it still didn't open then the alarm would sound off. "Why do things never go according to plan?" he grumbled and looked at Eva. "Got any ideas?" he asked with a plastered on smile.

She barely constrained a laugh at Solus' attempt at nonchalance towards the one guard that might have sounded some kind of alarm. Instead, she snorted, perking a brow at his pose and mannerisms, one hand on her hip and icy eyes gleaming with amusement. Being pulled along, she would let him do this time around... but there was a damned good reason she was taking front point.

She decided she would enjoy watching him struggle with the keycard for a moment; it was interesting to say the least. Seeing it turn yellow wasn't too surprising; these things were temperamental at best, and at worst glitchy. So when he asked if she had any ideas...

She slammed her mechanized fist against it. At first, there was a startled blink of yellow.

And then the cheerful triple flash of green, then the pneumatic door hissed open.

From within, there was one guard waiting. His helm was off beside him, watching a shockball holovid with a dazed, lazy-eyed expression. Well, and no wonder... how many prisoners had escaped from this newly fitted fine establishment? None until now.

He was such an easy target.

The Rodian glanced lazily up as the pair walked in, hardly blinking an eye...

And then flailed when the Deucalian grabbed him by the front of his uniform, hardly even having time to grab for his baton before she slugged him hard enough with her mechanical arm to hear something crunch. She smirked in satisfaction as he crumpled to the ground wordlessly, switching off the game then waving a hand to the wonderful row of boxes before them. Time to shock the Solus a little more.

"Meg cuyir gar yatr jaal tug'yc?"

She began to drag hers out, finally free of that ridiculously weak set of equipment. She knew her armor would perhaps give her away the moment she strapped it on, but at the moment she hardly cared. The Mandalorian, no doubt, was as flightless as she... and if they were going out guns blazing, they needed to do it with wings on the brain.

The hangar was two floors above. Right past what they probably used as the new officers' quarters. If they played their cards right, it would either be a walk in the park, or extremely messy.

Either way, it was a promise of a good time. "Ve need to get to the hangar bay... if memory serves, two flights up. I vill help you escape."

Eva gave the system a hard whack with her mechanical arm, making Sumas flinch in surprise. He looked at the lock as it flashed yellow...then switched to green and opened right up. He curled his lower lip, raised his eyebrows and gave an impressed nod of the head as he followed her in. She dealt with the guard before he could make a noise and they were alone on the armoury. "Ho-lee kriff."" he said with a whistle as he looked at the rows of rifles, pistols and other gear lying around.

He looked for his cell number and slid the cabinet open. "Hello baby, did you miss me?" he said as he picked up his helmet and stared into the T-visor. He stripped down and quickly suited up in the medium armour. He looked himself over and tugged at a few pieces to adjust them before picking up his helmet. The horns on top still felt sharp. Always useful to have...and it made sure people knew who it was under the Solus colours.

He looked over to Eva and her very interesting armour as he holstered his weaponry. Somehow it only dawned upon him now. "You're Deucalian, aren't you?" he asked her. He felt like a complete idiot only realising it now. Thank goodness his embarrassment was hidden behind his T-visor. "What say you we look for some goodies while we're in here..." he said with a smirk and dug around the other stuff. He pulled out a scope and looked it over, then handed it to Eva. "Have any use for this?" he asked her. Scouring a bit further he found 2 frag grenades and two adhesive grenades to add to his visibly happy person. "You can never have too many grenades." he said over his shoulder.

Finally done, he turned to Eva. "Alright let's get out of here." he said with a nod of the head and turned to leave. The only way up to the hangar was through the new officer's barracks. With no outfit and clearly ready for battle, their only way through was to sneak...or go in guns blazing.

Out of the first turbo lift they had a hallway to pass that led to the second turbolift. Who the hell designed this ship? Inside were a bunch of guards huddled around a crate, all of them with credits in hand. They were clearly busy with some game in the quarters but none of them were paying attention. Sumas tip-toed silently past them, checking to Eva to make sure she was alright. The 4 officers didn't seem to notice at all.

They were inching closer to escape...

She caught the scope easily, eyeing it before giving an appreciative smirk. It wouldn't be a bad addition to either rifle in her possession, however installing it would have to wait. Just because their guard had been knocked unconscious so far didn't mean they were in the clear, nor because she overrode alarms didn't mean one could be sent to the upper levels if the bodies were discovered sooner than their escape could be.

"Ja, I am," she rumbled in amusement, double checking her armor and weapons over... and a couple frags herself.

You could never be too careful in this day and age, and especially considering their escape was going to be interesting.

As he snuck past, she sighed quietly to herself, then shrugged. Since most of the guard they had seen so far was so confident with their ability... so would she. She snuck past, and not a single person seemed to bat an eye at a Deucalian quietly moving past the barracks, dressed in full war gear and standing a good head taller than most women did.

Her eyes were on the elevator, and she kept moving, not pausing for anybody. She stepped into the lift, and when Sumas stepped in she placed her hand on her CZ, then nodded. "Let's keep moving, the fight's not over yet." Her voice was low. And though she seemed calm, on the surface she knew something was about to happen. She just wasn't going to let it take her down yet. They would escape... and then she could relax.

Hopefully.

She caught up with him and they pressed on. They slipped into the last turbolift and quickly found themselves by the hangar of the ship. "Hangar" being the massive cargo compartment that they modified to take either a few shuttles, a squadron of fighters...or in this case a very nice patrol craft.

They exited the turbolift and Sumas led her in behind a stack of crates to hide in. He gave a quiet whistle as he looked the ship over. "That could come in useful." he commented. This was the final stretch. They needed to get into that ship, get out of the hangar, then jump to hyperspace before they can finally relax. This would also be the moment that tests this 'bond' between the two criminals. Sumas would keep his word, always, as any Zabrak would. He knew Deucalians were also proud people and he'd like to think she would keep her word as well...this would test that theory.

"Alright. This is it. We get out of here, we're almost home. First things first. We need to open that hangar door. While that's happening the other should prime the ship so we're ready once everyone is aboard that craft. What do you want to do? Open the hangar door or prime the ship?" he asked her as he looked the place over. There were crew members here and there but they were busy with their own thing.

She snorted at his comment, giving the male Zabrak a side-eyed glance. A Mandalorian manning a Mandalorian patrol craft. How... truly original and inspired. If they made it out alive, she would have many questions about his people. His kind. Several things she did not truly know... if she was to adapt her Clan, perhaps the culture of fellow warriors would prove to be ample inspiration. "Vas that the one you were trying to steal?" She commented lightly, tilting her helm in its' direction. If it was... irony didn't even cover it.

When he spoke, she perked a black brow. It seemed interesting that now of all times, the hangar door was considered an obstacle to be overcome... and yet, for them to succeed in escape, he had to think quick on his feet, get the ship up and running. The Janteel galleon they were on hardly posed a challenge. Though such ships were difficult to obtain, their build was not the most graceful. This hangar bay was not optimized to potential... and with their leaving, perhaps they would reconsider their options for prisons and prisoners.

Speaking of, no alarms tripped yet! Either the Gods actually favored them both strongly... or she was epically karked at the last moment.

Considering her luck, she would have gone with the former rather than the latter.

"I'll take the hangar," she spoke quietly, giving the male a sideways smirk. "If you get that bird off the ground, she's yours. But I can manage doors just fine."

Not to mention, there were only seven crew. Such skeletal amounts in such a select location... and there weren't too many ships to choose from. Shuttles mostly, another light freighter. They must've dropped the Killer Ree planetside, which was a massive pain as it seemed to be her only sane method to come back home.

The moment he would start towards the ship, she started towards the door, carefully stepping around crates. A few times it seemed to be a close call; it was odd, having to duck around and hide in a place that was familiar, especially considering her height was her biggest disadvantage.

She waited a breath, then two, before the hangar bay doors. There were no crew, but... she waited to check on her companion.

Then wrapped her hand around the lever switch, and pulled down hard.

An alarm began to sound as the hangar doors began to open. She only hoped her companion had the ship up and running, else her mad dash back over would cost them precious limits.

Their time being undetected was almost up. It wouldn't be much longer until they would be spotted... and then the true firefight would begin. She just hoped the lad knew his way around such a ship enough for them to escape. Being a distraction with the doors was easy enough. Getting out... different matter altogether.

Sumas gave her a quick look before nodding. "Yeah, basically..." he admitted with a shrug. She agreed to take the door, prompting a chuckle from him. "Oh, how chivalrous of you." he jested with a joking girlish flare in his voice. Returning to his more serious tone he continued. "Don't worry, I have a decent understanding of those ships. It's been a while since I've flown one, though." he admitted with a shrug. "Just make sure to be on board when those engines fire up. We won't have much of a window." he said firmly. He didn't want to leave her behind now, not after the whole mess they just got through.

They agreed to move at the same time. They took off in different directions. She went for the hangar controls while he went for the ship. He sneaked and ducked and dived, even going so far as to hurl a spanner at a guy's head to make him think it was his buddy. But finally he got to the ship. The ship was open and ready for takeoff, they were probably gearing up for a patrol sometime soon. He sneaked aboard and made his way to the cockpit where he quickly strapped in. He flipped the switches, pressed the buttons and the ship started to hum like a monstrous pod-racer spinning up. This ship was going to be a blast to fly...

He hit the final button and the engines roared to life. The crew looked at the ship but seemingly didn't bat an eye. Sumas and Eva were most likely coincidentally right on time with the actual crew's departure...only question is where is the actual crew?

He shook the thought from his head and focused on getting out of here. He stayed in place until he saw Eva enter the ship before closing it up and flying out of the Hangar. Hopefully they could get far enough before the ship catches on to what's happening. Those cannons won't be a fun time...a thought which reminded him to turn on the shields.

Roll to sneak over and enter the ship without detection(Success)
Roll to start the ship up without sounding the alarms.(Arousing success)

She was so close.

She had almost made it to the ship. She was close enough to taste escape...

But a sudden bout of nausea hit. It hit hard enough to cause her to stumble, right into one of the crew members. He was about to apologize, she could see it in his eyes... and then the man began to yell. She kept trying to run, she truly did, but it wasn't fast enough. Three shots bit through her armor into her back, searing skin, muscle, and she staggered with a bellow, stumbling back behind some crates.

The heat singed and bit against sensitive skin, causing her to stumble again with a roar.

And then... the alarms began to blare.

Kark. Time was up, it was time to go. Would he leave her behind to save his own skin?

...She really didn't want Tagal to bail her out, but she would have to if things continued to go sourly. Kark. The pain of her mechanical arm being jammed against the stump as she sloppily rolled towards a flimsy pile of crates made her nausea worse, and she hunkered down, gritting her teeth in pain as nerves screamed and the sirens continued to bark out shrilly.

Sumas sat and watched as she ran...then she lurched and ran right into a guard? What the hell was that? Did she clutch in her most important moment? He wanted to chew her out for that. She got shot in the back and the sirens started to blare. Their plan was falling apart FAST. Shots hit the ship which did absolutely nothing to the ship except make noise. For the briefest of moments he considered simply abandoning her and saving his own backside...but that wasn't in his nature.

"Oh, blast me for a boat!" he roared and angled the ship to make it easy to get on and off. He charged out of the cockpit and leapt from the ship, using his jump boots to cover the distance quicker. He landed by her and drew his pistols to provide covering fire. "Come on Queen Kong, get up." he shouted and wrapped an arm through her left armpit before lifting her to her feet and firing as he helped her to the ship. Once there he held onto her and activated his jump boots once more. They weren't supposed to carry two people but they got them to the ramp. Just as he shoved her into the ship a blaster bolt hit him in the shoulder.

He growled with pain as he stumbled forward and gave a few shots back to make them take cover. Inside the ship he hit the button and closed up the ramp and ran to the cockpit, bringing the ship around and blasting off. "What the hell happened back there?" he called out over his shoulder at Eva.

Unfortunately all this chaos gave the galleon to bring her guns to bear and opened fire. The cannon rounds pommelled the small ship and its shields quickly went down. It hit the side of the ship which knocked out a stabiliser and put them on a course to Exoleen's surface. "Get up here and strap down, we're going down!" he warned her and made sure to buckle up as well.

Roll to grab Eva and get her on board to escape(Barely a success)

She growled when he came barreling at her and lifting her up; she could deal with the comments, but Queen Kong? Really? She was not that tall... but more pain frissioned up her side, then around her spine. It both burned and felt icy cold, and she gritted her teeth when they flew towards the cockpit, grunting at impact and being less-than-gently tossed in.

She was wordless, numbly managing to buckle in as the ship bucked and rolled, gritting her teeth and suppressing the urge to get horribly sick.

Of all times to feel the impact of illness...

"Explain later, go now," she snapped back, jaw clenched as she tried to just keep her head clear for ten kriffing minutes...

She knew he had a right to be angry, but she would address with her own irrational rage later. They had an emergency ship to land first... and kark if it didn't spell more trouble helping another lost lad.

When was she just going to mind her own damned business and let the kids sort themselves out without having to come to rescue and get karked for it?
