CLASS: Selonian Light Freighter/transport
MANUFACTURER: Selonian Engineering Corps
HYPERDRIVE CLASS: CLASS 3

* Stock 2x QUAD CANNONS (but with upgrades its capable of a few more)
DESCRIPTION: The Light freighter is a Selonian freighter designed for hauling small-to-medium sized cargo across the galaxy. Technically a civilian ship, the freighter is designed to move and maneuver swiftly in deep space as well as in orbit and in a planets atmosphere. It was developed originally to move a light amount of Selonian Marble across the galaxy, until it they been raided countless of times by pirates. Upon which resulted in the engines being highly upgraded for its size to aid in outrunning its hostile counterparts.
As a Selonian ship, the light freighter is highly maneuverable for its size, and looks similar to a CEC styled ship of the era. The SLFs triple yet large engines are capable of providing extraordinary thrust and atmospheric maneuverability. As a result of the massive thrusters, the ship is noted not just for its speed and agility but for being deafeningly loud, especially in full-thrust. Even with dampeners or silencers installed the ship still remains audible from a great distance away.
The bridge of the ship is located slightly protruding from the nose of the ship, with three crew seats residing behind the pilot's chair as well as the co-pilot to the left. The bridge sits 5 people pretty tightly. a pilot and co-pilot in front an engineer/mechanic and 2 gunners in their respective swiveling seats. A short stroll down the hall takes one into the galley, which seats areas for crew entertainment ranging from a bar, a food dispenser, to even a small entertainment station where the crew can listen to music or even watch the galactic news. Navigational computers, communicational radios and even galactic maps with routes line the walls of the Galley. In the center of the room is a holoprojector, which generally displays a holographic image of the galaxy or planet the SLF is on or orbiting or presently residing on.
The aft of the ship holds two crew quarters with four bunks each. The boarding ramp is located on the starboard section of the ship, a short hop, skip and a jump from the galley. A short walk down the main hallway one find themselves in the cargo hold, where freight is stored. A retractable bulkhead can be used for quick loading and unloading, though quick evac can also be performed here.
INTENT
This is going to be both a more cultural look on the Selonian design but also an alternative to the already available freighters. As a versatile design, this is the perfect design for smuggler characters and other indies on the run as a ship to shuttle supplies from one place to the other quickly during hostile scenarios. This is also the ship type my Indie characters personal modified ship, called the "Peregrine" will be.
