Outside the private study
Midday

Questions! There were so many going though the head of the young acolyte. What was the reason for the civil war outside of the disrespect the old traditions received by the Sith near the core. What was the principles this Empire stood for and why was it important that this type of Sith won the battle of idea's. Now maybe he was being ridiculous to go up to the most powerful man in this empire's private study. But Jedrek wasn't always a smart man, he was a passionate man but definitely not someone whose brain was always working.

The guards though were serious and seemingly unwilling to listen to Jedrek's foolish demands. Now these guards weren't your standard troopers, they probably one on one destroy Jedrek. But that didn't deter Jedrek all that much. Since he was sure going to get answers one way or another. With his Sith armor on, the cloak covered nothing as Jedrek was comfortable showing his two lightsabers on his belt but his hands were no where near them.

They were out front as he drastically tried his best to get though. It was clear that Jedrek was a acolyte without any clear direction or purpose other then his rage. And that was something the Sith wished to fix. He needed something besides his anger to fuel him. Sure the dark side provided much for him and so did this Empire but he wasn't a complete fool.

He knew there had to be more to slaughter then a the dark side's pull. There had to be a foundation. That was why he was here today to find that foundation.

"Please I simply ask for a bit of the Emperor's time." Jedrek made one last plea to hopefully get though to these guards.

Vrael looked up from the piles of datapads with a frown, looking towards the door of his study. There was some kind of commotion occurring outside, though perhaps it didn't quite qualify as a commotion yet. Still, he could hear raised voices and the slightest bit of tension within the force from his guards, as if coiling to strike out. He looked at it for a moment before shaking his head and turning back to his work. He had quite a bit to get through before the day was out, reports, revisions, and the like. The Empire didn't run itself, especially not during this crucial time, and there was always more to be done. The commotion didn't stop however, and eventually Vrael sighed and rose to his feet and called out. "Guard! What seems to be the issue?"

The door opened in response, one of the guards slipping through to bow before him. "Sir, its just an Acolyte, wants a moment of your time and refuses to hear no. Don't worry, We'll have him gone in a moment." Vrael stopped his exit with a raised hand, considering the situation with a raised eyebrow. A moment of his time hmmm? His first instinct was to just deny it of course, he was a busy man and the proper channels existed for a reason. At the same time however, it wasn't wise to just dismiss someone without so much as hearing a reason. Maybe the acolyte had urgent news and the proper chain would take too much time. The older man sighed and put down his data pad, waving to the guard as he spoke. "Ask him why he needs to speak to me."

If the guard was surprised, he didn't show it, and simply nodded before turning back to the interloper. "Well, I'm sure you heard that. The Emperor would like to know why you should get a moment of his time." Vrael waited patiently with his hands clasped in front of him, dying to return to his work. If there wasn't a good reason...

Jedrek watched as a guard walked into the chambers, maybe something was actually going to happen. He could somewhat see the chambers and a man inside it. A older gentleman but still the man responsible for the Empire. Not something he could understand to be honest. But at least maybe this man could help him understand some things. Such as the inner workings of the philosophy that the Sith supposedly had. Sure he could ask one of his instructors but they could only give so much information. This man was supposedly the arbiter of the Empire, this man should have at least some wisdom that Jedrek could use. It wasn't like Jedrek hadn't been seeking someone like that, for so long now the Sith had only himself and his sister. But now that she is gone he really only has vengeance.

And has he prayed to whatever took his sister away to at least give him this. And as the Dark lord spoke about why Jedrek was here his heart stopped maybe he was going to get what he wanted after all. It took him a second to realize he was suppose to respond but when he did Jedrek was as uncertain as to be expected.

"I-I, sorry my Lord but I simply came to express a question to a man who should have a answer. I have been studying on Korriban by many of the tutors there, but I wish to ask why Sith? What does it mean to crave power though the dark side, and why is it we rage war on our fellow brothers. Though I am fine with this I have been taught what to do with our enemies and how to serve. I simply wish to learn why?" Jedrek was letting it all out for quiet some time now he hadn't really understood what to do with his life, and now this was his one chance to get those answers.

Despite his usual uneasiness of letting his helmet off, Jedrek's face was out for the world to see. Somewhat grown beard, with several small scars across his face. Each one a beating his took on Nal Hutta, and despite them not being a big deal in retrospection it made him self conscious. His eyes were open wide hoping for some truth to come out and fill him with some more reason of being then what he currently had.

"I simply wish to know Lord the reason the rule of strong is just so I might better serve it." Now maybe that last bit was just him trying to save face and not seem like a complete loony, bowing down slightly to the lord even if he wasn't completely in sight it wasn't like Jedrek would take the risk of pissing off one of the most powerful man in the galaxy for no reason.

Vrael raised an eyebrow as the request filtered through his mind. He...hadn't honestly expected this when he'd asked for the reason. Really he'd expected either some tomfoolery complaint that meant nothing or an urgent situation that needed his attention. A philosophical cry for help? That was truly unexpected, especially in an organization like the Sith. Most people would've been too fearful of being labeled a traitor to bring such a topic up, especially with him. Vrael reminded silent for a moment, trying to decide how best to respond.

The guard mistook his silence for outright denial, moving to shove Jedrek away and close the door. "STOP," Vrael raised a hand, bringing the guards actions to a halt. In truth, this wasn't a task for him, it would even be considered a waste of his time. Yet, he felt the urge to explain anyway. Perhaps it was because this was such a heated topic within the Sith, literally splitting them in two. It would be the ultimate foolishness to ignore such a contention within his own ranks, or drive away a potential soldier. Besides, perhaps this could even be an educational experience, show him how to convert the false Sith in the Republica.

Vrael finally spoke, waving the other Sith forward with his hand. "Let him through, I can spare a few moments I suppose." The guard would allow the Jedrek through, closing the door gently behind him. Vrael gestured to the chair in front of his desk and waited for the man to sit down. He would then fold his hands in front of him, looking severely at the other Sith before speaking. "Well out with it, what seems to be the problem acolyte?"

Jedrek was slowly growing to despair as the silence began to grow. Was his questions to be ignored? Was he being too foolish and about to waste his chance at revenge of his enemies because he dared wonder about his future. How as he to die and look to his sister now, having spent so many years striving for the power to take the life that was responsible for her death. And as the guards began closing the one door he was sure that would make a difference in his life a loud stop was hear.

Similar to the guard's halting so did Jedrek's heart for a moment. What was going to happen? Would the Lord actually let him in? Was this man going to tell the guards to execute him now for raising such foolish questions. So many scenarios ran though his head as he eyes around him looking for where to go if it was going to be a command to have him killed that came next.

But before Jedrek could start running in the opposite direction he heard the Lord call for him to enter. Shocked it took him several moments to realize what was going on before he looked to the guards. Maybe they were just as shocked but one couldn't really tell. They were trained well. Taking several steps into the private study and having to halt by the simple size of it. Jedrek was born poor, raised in the dirt and had to claw his way up but never had he seen so much knowledge in his life before. Was this what life was like on the top. Jedrek's eyes wondered for a moment before remembering where he was and seeing the Emperor he sworn loyalty to signal for him to sit down in front of him.

It was more than he expected or even asked for, but for now Jedrek wasn't going to spit in this man's eye for no reason. Slowly walking towards the chair the Sith sat down somewhat uncomfortable. Confused on to what to say considering who he was actually speaking to. Maybe he should have come up with a better place. But since he was here there was nothing he could do now.

"Lord I thank you for allowing me a moment of your time." Jedrek would say bowing his head, knowing it would be important to stay on this man's good side.

"I apologize for my outburst just a few moments prior, I have been studying for only a few years now sir. Having spent most of my life without any proper education. My questions are my own I don't dare speak for anyone but I wish to know sir what is the purpose of being a Sith sir. I was raised knowing they were the strong and such they ruled because of that. Many of my current instructors explained that Sith follow there passions and strive to be the strongest. If that is the case sir, shouldn't Sith not teach or pass on their knowledge to keep their power? Most of my life Sith were a thing not much else than a fact of life, now that I have become one what is the goal for Sith besides power, why has our brothers and sisters in the Republica gone and worship the blood of their nobles instead of the strength the common folk could have?" Jedrek knew he might have spoken to much but there was many questions he had not all of which were connected to one another.
