Its stupid... oh noes, you have a myspace your suspended... But when someone is caught looking up lesbian pornography they get a detention... LOL wow, I must say that it is rather funny... should it not be allowed in schools, okay I agree there... should it be a higher offence then looking up raunchy pictures of kinky stuff?! Nah.... I agree that kids need to just focus on school work at school, but the whole shit with myspace is a bit extreame... maybe a warnning, then a detention... okay... but suspended? i only get suspended for pouring super glue down the bathroom sink, or kicking in someone's locker until it falls off the henges...

but none the less having it in school is a bit out of line, the punishment is also out of line.. so it goes both ways really...

Some of you guys may never heard of it but Facebook.com is like a myspace for college students and my college (University of Delaware) is breaking the rules of the website by having administrators from the college creating student accounts. They go into students pictures and they have already punished some underage students for having pictures of them drinking.

I've heard of it... but I think the administrators were right in that case... there you have evidence that that underaged person was drinking. Better to get punishment from the school than get a federal crime. I mean atleast they aren't prosectuing those people and putting underage drinking charges against them.

I had heard that a lot of student/atheletes were getting in trouble for their facebook profiles. Some teams even went so far to ban players from having them.

Personally, I think that if you are in the position of being a "public" (for lack of a better term) figure at your school (like an athelete) you should be smart enough to not put a picture of yourself up there drinking with minors. That is just stupid. I think it is wrong of the schools to ban it, but I agree with schools that are imposing guidelines on what can or can't be put up by students.

My opinion still is if you're stupid enough to put pictures of yourself drinking when you're underage on a web site for the whole world to see, than it's your own damn fault.

I don't think its that wrong, and it may because Im an Adult here, and look back at when I was a kid, and look at the kids now,, and really....some of you guys are getting REALLY stupid with not only what you do, but act.. it's like nobody has rules anymore, no fear of concequinces..like people are afraid to pin a kid to a wall and tell them how it is " because kids are taught to go crying to CYFD if an adult so much as blinks wrong, and the bleeding hearts call it child abuse,, so people FEAR it now"

Now you get those said set of dumbv kids who do things that, by all means are criminal, and then boast about it it further encourages OTHER trend prone brats to do the same so no, I like seeing someone finally having the balls to say enough is enough, and technically those under the age of 16 technically are lying when they set up the initial account, sence my space was developed for college(Uni) students

Could be just because I'm an adult but still old enough to remember my youth, or its because Im a parent of two very young boys...but kids are getting dumb when it comes to fun, and no chance in hell will I sit idly by

There are a lot of stupid ass kids out there, and like I've already said, they're EVEN stupider for showing pictures of them smoking pot or drinking and shit on the internet.

Now there are still a few of us teenagers who don't do that shit, mostly because we have more important things to do like take our girlfriend out to the movies or sports activites to take care of. These idiotic stoner junkies deserve whatever the fawk punish they get.

Well yea, like I said, I understand if they sign a code of conduct with a sport, then if they get caught doing drugs/drinking on Myspace, then they could get kicked off the team, but I think that schools going into Myspace without any reason to but to try and bust kids is bol.

Im a adult, so i dont take School anymore. But i think this is complete bullshit, they have no rights, NO rights at all to suspend them for having a certain pic of you on My Space. What, they trying to control how Kids live there lives at home now? Hell, if i had kids(A nightmare to everyone. lol) and they suspended them for having a Myspace, i would march down to the school and box ther ears around.

They actually technically DO have the right sadly. Anything that CAN lead back to the school environment can be grounds for suspenion. If a kid beats up someone on the weekend, they can be suspended.

Oh and Mulluns, you need to go BACK to school with punctuation like that! lol you know I'm just messin buddy!

Wow, odd indeed. This is actually the first, I've heard of this incident and I'm finding this hard to believe. My Hard District from what I know allow students to put up any picture from their choosing, without being threaten a suspension or a Saturday school. I could maybe see part of the reason why they would Ban this from little children under the age of 14 or younger. Because my space is required a age limit and there are some things that little children should not view.

For an example: Porno, bad language, and other peope's issues. /(So basically I'm saying elementary school students or even some Jr high school students should not be aloud to have a my space)

If it stops 40 year old child molesters from finding a kid somewhere and killing them and some how the school can keep the stupid kids from giving out the information, then I say go to it. I dont own an acount and I dont want to, ive heard to many stories and Ive seen some girls at my school get raped and hurt by this, the schools seem to be doing whats in the best favor and I think thats fine, but when I hear "Hey did you see my pic on Myspace today, its sooo sexy" in my classes there is time for a change.

About the age thing, once you make the account, you can change your age to make it lower than 16 and it will set your account to private wherein only your friends can view your profile.
