Location: edges of Mos Eisley, Tatooine
Time: mid-afternoon
Participants: @Raven_41 @Darasuum
Theme: Egil saga ❅ Faun
Intro: Deucalia has long been a difficult place to travel. There are those that want to keep it that way while others are just opportunists. The two Sith must track down an old lead of a junk yard on Tatooine to get an astromech droid still capable of navigating back to the Deucalian's home world..

Back on a desert covered planet. Right up until it was snow the planet was covered in dusty sand. It reminded her too much of Atrer III and the worst times there. What little pleasantness she had experienced on that force forsaken planet it had been outside of the desert area.

Today she was on a quest for the purpose of finding her other home world, Deucalia. Tattooine was one of the planets closer to the area where Deucalia was located in terms of galactic territory. But there were light years of area that could hold the system.

With Zan was an acolyte by the name of Irola Shen. The woman had not heard of her exploits yet but that was not saying much. The Crusader tended to only pay attention to the exceptionally notable members that had accomplished a lot or were foolish enough to tempt the force and come out victorious. Sometimes Zan wondered if she herself was actually powerful and capable or just sometimes lucky.

This was not official Empire business. Part of it was a personal investment and was independently pursued. It would still benefit the empire but the risk was all on Zan and her partner. It seemed delving into the outer rim worlds like Tatooine were not somehing that warranted wasting tax payers' credits. That was fine by Zan. She had a personal investment in this too.

They were on the outer edges of Mos Eisley and the usual amount of traffic milled about. She wore a cloak, not to hide her appearance and definitely not because she was feeling cold, but to keep the sun off of her fair complexion. Her fair skin would easily burn in the twin sunlight of the planet.

Irolia had been on Tatooine a few times before, every time was for a different reason. Though her first time on Tatooine was certainly interesting, that was the time she got captured and rescued by a good-toe-shoe Jedi. They had fought pirates in a temporary truce... oh right and she had tricked the Jedi and wounded him, before leaving the planet. This time she was out looking for a droid with a woman. Before the meeting, Irolia did a bit of digging, just to get a bit of information on what kind of person she would be working with. The two different names had been confusing for Irolia as this woman apparently is called both names, so Irolia just went with Zan, seemed to be the name that was mentioned most.

It had been a very interesting first meeting as Zan looked very tribal in certain areas, but most of all, Irolia would feel the warrior in her. Irolia had covered herself with a cloak, like Zan, to cover for the ruthless biting heat the two suns produced. Mos Eisley business could be heard behind them, ships flying from and to the big city on the unforgiving planet. The blue-skinned female looked to her fellow Sith and back to the outskirts, she was not particularly looking forward to wandering around in a desert with little shade.

It was obvious Irolia was not pleased with the climate the same as Zan. She stood beside her looking at the outskirts of the city with a bleak expression on her face. The things that she wanted were never easy. Just once she would like a simple pick up and drop off. But there would be no complaining from her. Deucalia was worth the trouble.

"Let's move." She said in a gruff tone before taking the first step. After about twenty meters the wind started to pick up. It was not terrible but it was far from pleasant. Grains of sand wipped into her face and made her want to raise her hands.

They already knew where they needed to go. There was a droid shop visible at this distance but it would be a minute before they arrived. Zan was not interested in parking her ship close to the location in case of a risky situation. Besides, her vessel needed to bee refueled anyways and she doubted the droid shop had the means to do that. Some boring walking would pass but soon the two Sith would arrive on the doorstep of the droid shop. The door opened with the iconic his of the automatic mechanism activating allowing both entry without the need to knock.

Inside there was a plethora of droid parts. Some in various states of disrepair while others looked like they were just outdated models in perfect condition collecting dust. Walking up to the counter Zan looked around and then rang a bell, waiting for service.

Irolia did not see the appeal to live on such a planet as Tatooine. All sandstorms, unbearable heat, the fact that it had two damn suns. No, this planet would not be her first pick to visit, but sadly her mission with Zan would lead them here. The walk from the city and to the droid shop in the distance provide quiet walking, as the wild caught up to them. As they walked through the desert to this shop owner, Irolia could feel the many thousand if not million grains of sand give over the pressure of her booths. In a strange way, it felt nice, relaxing.

That same feeling came when walking in the snow, the feeling of relaxation. Irolia took the bottom of her hood and held it in front of her mouth and nose, to keep any sand from getting in her face. It didn't take long for them to arrive at their destination, a little droid shop, not far from the big city. Upon entering, she got a good look around the shop. While Zan rang a bell to get some service, Irolia took the chance to look at bit around the place. Hey, maybe she could find some upgrades for her little droid, Parrot. Kneeling down the blue-skinned Pantoran, lifted a small droid arm with a pincer on the end, just like her own Parrot had. The sound of someone entering the front store from the back, made Irolia look over her shoulder. It was a twi'lek, judging by his lekkus and skin tone.

The twi'lek had a weathered face and a few scars, showing how harsh Tatooine is on its inhabitant. Irolia would just let Zan do the talking, as herself were busy with looking at droid parts. "ahh vohsuna, what can I help you two girls with?" greeted the shop owner and smiled at Zan, leaning a bit forward with his arm on the counter. The shop owner clothes had a very nomadic look to him.

A shabby looking twi'lek came into view and Zan watched him the entire time he was before them. Her face was a blank expression with the slightest hints of her analyzing the man. He was friendly, just as any salesman was expected to be. She wondered how best to approach the subject of "We're looking for an astromech droid." She said flatly.

"Of course. What woman doesn't need a good little helper. You two look like you've travel quite a bit and no doubt there's no stopping you. I have some older models, not many new ones though I'm afraid. A few are upgraded and modified and in my opinion better than their new cousins." He said the last bit like it was a secret he did not want to get out. But Zan was not amused by it.

"Do you mind if my cohort has a look around?" She turned her head slightly and gave Irolia a nod without waiting for the droid seller's approval. But he still smiled towards the Pantoran and waved his hand around the rest of the shop and the doors that led to what looked almost like a giant scrap room holding a bunch of junk. "Oh yes by all means. Peruse to your heart's content."

He turned his attention back towards the crusader. "Are there any specific functions you want the droid your looking for to have?" The Deucalian waited a moment and then thought on it. Was there anything that might help her narrow down the model that might hold the navigation data they were looking for.

Irolia smile sweetly and let the droid part in her hand drop to the pile in front of her. She rose from her spot and exit the main shop, entering the back area. The Twi'lek had all kinds of droids and parts, in all honesty, it looked like a dump if the Pantoran had put words on his scrap room. Looking around the area she couldn't really find anything remotely similar to what they were looking for.

"Where the hell are the damn astromech droids?" wondered the blue-skinned Sith a bit annoyed to herself. She extended her hand and soon after, piles of scrap started to levitate from its place, making room for Irolia to actually get a better viewing. With useless scrap out of the way, Irolia had a much easier time to find her way over to the droids the Twi'lek wouldn't take up front in the main store.

"Hello there little friend, aren't you a cute" Smiled Irolia and kneeled by a little bibliomech, "I don't think Parrot would like it if I brought you home with me" apologized Irolia and padded the little droid on the head as she kept looking. Further down the line of droids, Irolia found the astromechs. Some larger than others, or even just bulkier, they did not look very stable driving around, some even looked quite old. "Zan, get in here, I think I found something that looked like what you're looking for!" Called Irolia, after she inspected the last astromech in the line of astromechs. It was an older model, one that looked like it has seen some action for many years ago.

Eventually the woman came up with an answer for the shopkeeper. "I'm looking for what most likely is an older model. I actually want one that has not been scrubbed of information. Perhaps you have some logs of navigation coordinates or something of that sort?"

The man's brow furrowed for a moment since it was an uncommon request. It was certainly not one he expected to get out of nowhere from some no name patron. "Um...let me see if I have anything on record." He said and then turned to pull up a datapad he had behind the counter.

While he did that the Crusader heard her cohort call out to her. "I'll be right back." She said and the man just gave a simple wave while he continued to to swipe through some information. After only a few moments the woman arrived beside Irolia. "What is it?" It was a bit different tone than what she had used to seem somewhat friendly with the salesman. Zan was not faking her warmth when it came to Irolia.

While waiting for Zan to get out in the scrap area, Irolia kneeled down and started to see if she could access the little guy's memory or anything else that might be of use. Unfortunate, she was unable to unlock or get anything out of the little bucket in front of her. It might be because of her lacking skills in hacking into a droid that wasn't her own, or the security on the droid was through the roof, she couldn't tell.

Hearing the familiar voice of the Deucalian, made the blue-skinned Sith gaze in the woman's direction, watching her walk over to her. "Take a look at this little bucket, at first I didn't think much of it. But something caught my eyes when inspecting the droid. One only is this one locked behind much tougher internal security, unlike the rest of the bunch here. Some of the commands it asked for, for even to get into the droid, seemed alien, almost tribal to me" Explained Irolia and show Zan as she tried to gain access, but when Irolia couldn't give it the access codes in what looked like alien tribal sections of words, she was denied.

The rest of the working droids out here either look too recent built, where this looked really old and scared from what Irolia suspect as harsh weather or some kind of action. The owner popped his head out, looking for the women, "ah there you two are, I'm afraid what you're asking do not seem to be within my stock of wares miss" explained the owner apologetically.

Before Zan could reply to the shopowner, Irolia spoke, "What about this one? Where did you get this droid?" Asked Irolia curiously. The twi'lek went over to the two patrons to see, what Irolia referred to. When the twi'lek shop owner saw what Irolia had asked about he looked surprised for a moment, almost like he forgot about it. "Oh, that one? Got it off some strange warrior for a long time ago. The strangest thing is, a group of people not long ago wanted to pay a lot of credit for it, which is strange, since I've haven't been able to clear its memory ever since got it" explained the twi'lek.

Zan would come over to the droid and look at it. She ran a hand along its body to find any kind of markings that some owners made on their property. Tribes tended to do that when it came to their pride and wanted people to know what was their's. However this one had been worn down quite a bit and did not seem to show much of anything. In fact most of its paint had been worn away.

"How much for this droid" The twi'lek came a few steps closer and scratched his chin as he contemplated the price. "I'd say it's about, well if you want me to fix him up and wipe his-" But the crusader cut him off. "As is, no work, how much?" She wanted the droid's memory intact. The shop owner seemed perplexed at that but perhaps thought that the Deucalian was not looking to spend more money or was on a short schedule and equally short budget.

"How bout... couple hundred and we call it square? But I'll admit, the thing isn't gonna run great. You're better off with one of the other models." He still thought they were interested in navigation performance and not the records. That was fine with Zan. The less he understood the better. "Pay the man." She said to Irolia. The woman would pay the Pantoran back later. As that transaction was conducted she would get the droid charged up and have her port scanner able to slice into the droid's systems so they could collect it.

Irolia was still kneeling by the little tin can while Zan talked with the shop owner. She knew that they were after something the droid had in its memory, but the fact that she didn't understand anything coming from the droids she rose from the ground. Irolia rolled her eyes at Zan, though she wouldn't notice it as Irolia had her back turned to Zan.

As the Pantoran was about to make the transaction with the still perplexed twi'lek shop owner, a couple of voices caught the owner's attention. "Hey, anybody home in this pile of junk house?" called out the loudest voice of the group. "Excuse me ladies" apologized the Twi'lek and left the backyard and went inside the shop. "hmpf... what kind of service is this?" exclaimed Irolia annoyed as the transaction was just about to finish, but halted when he left.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE ABOUT TO SELL THAT DROID?! I TOLD YOU I WOULD COME BACK WITH MONEY, YOU DAMN ALIEN" yelled the same voice. A bright orange-skinned Devaronian entered the backyard, followed by three other people. They were all armed. Behind the Devaronian, stood a Trandoshan, armed with a heavy blaster rifle and two side armed pistols at his hips. There was also what looked like a human, carrying a single blaster pistol, but a vibroblade sword on his back. The one to the left of the human, was a damn Wookie, a big one at that even. The Wookie held the famous Bowcaster type weapon that was known with Wookies.

The Devaronian himself was carrying holstered blasters and not much else. As he was about to yell at Irolia and Zan, he noticed it was females and his whole face changed from an angry to a flirtatious smile. "Well well well, heello ladies. My name is Sev, Sev Black" Introduced the Devaronian and bowed gracefully. Irolia's eyebrow rose automatically at the buffoon, not sure if she should laugh or shoot the devil-looking man.

"What brings two lovely and exquisite ladies like you two out here and all by yourself," asked Sev with a butter voice, giving both Sith a million credit smile. Irolia crossed her arms and just stared with her crimson red eyes at the devil man, "none of your business" replied the blue-skinned Sith annoyed by this man's interruption.

The Deucalian had what she believed was her ticket towards her goal. She remained kneeling by the droid for awhile and was slicing through the droid while it simultaniously recharged. Taking her eyes off of it she turned her head to the side to look over her shoulder. Brushing her voluminous braided hair out of the way of one ear she listened to the exchange Irolia was having with some new arrivals.

Sighing the Crusader stood up and walked back out into the front of the store. She stopped next to Irolia and looked silently at the new arrivals. He figure putting things into perspective when next to the more feminine pantoran. Changing her gaze over to the shopkeeper she wanted this to be hurried up. "What's the hold up?" The twi'lek stammered for a moment before the devaronian ring-leader took another step into the room and cut him off. "It seems that the salesman here is trying to sell something that already was put on layaway for another customer...us." The man kept the smile up after he finish.

Zan was not impressed. "Sounds to me like you should start looking for a different droid. I suggest you look at one of the newer models. If your navigation skills are anything like your attitude, you must be a crap pilot." That got the devaronian's blood to heat up. Meanwhile the Deucalian's face remained stone cold. "What'd you say?" His smile was starting to drop.

"Ugly, dumb and apparently deaf too." She brought her hands up in front of her mouth in a cupping manuever mockingly to make her words project farther. Her words would be slow and spaced out as if she were speaking to someone that was not a fluent speaker of Basic. "I said look for a different droid!"

Irolia didn't look when Zan entered the main part of the shop as she wouldn't turn her attention away from this buffoon and his thugs. Irolia was just about to say something when Zan delivered a rather ruthless roast to the Devaronian, making Irolia actually smirk for just a second. You could just see the anger the devil man's eyes for such disrespect towards him and Irolia wondered if he would send his lapdog, oh sorry, armed Wookie.

Just when he looked like was about to send his men at them, he started to smile a very cynical smile, smirking all the way up to his ears. "Come now, you wouldn't want me to send my friends here to give you two lovely ladies a serious talk? It wouldn't be beneficial for you two, I ca~" suddenly the Devaronian stopped talking. A low raspy attempt at breathing, came from the leader as if he had trouble breathing.

The Trandoshan looked to Sev with a crooked eyebrow, "boss?" Asked the lizard in a slithering tone. The Devaronian fell to his knees, gasping for air, placing a hand around his throat. Sev looked horrified to his men as he tried to speak, most likely trying to command them to do something. But when he opened his mouth to speak, only sick gurgle escaped. The Wookie roared madly at Zan and Irolia, raising his bowcaster to fire.

"Do that walking carpet and your boss dies!" Snarled Irolia, now raising her hand a bit more from her side. Her eyes flared to the deep blood red hue, as she held her turned off sabre hilt, in her free hand. She had enough about this buffoon and just wanted to get on with the mission. But since this farker wanted their attention, so much, she might as well just kill them all, starting with this piece of shab.

"Please, can't we all just have a civil conversation about this?!" Pleed the Twi'lek, standing scared behind the counter, cowering a bit down by the desk.

The woman listened to the beging of what was sure to be an unimpressive attempt at a witty retory by the Devaronian . But he stopped and struggled. Zan knew what it was and looked disappointed at he male like he had ever had any chance at appearing intimidating.

Putting one hand on her hip she left the palm open. The lightsaber on her paired hip would tremble slightly. Zan just felt it there for a moment as Irolia warned them and they begged for some sort of negotiation. But they thought they were already as good as dead. "The only words you can speak now that can prevent your death are those in the form of a convincing apology." Like her Pantoran cohort, Zan was ready to just iverserate each of these fools.

Staying her hand for one more moment the Deucalian listened to the plees of the Trandoshan and the Wookiee. It was rather an odd pair since the two people were often at conflict with one another. But that aside there was nothing remarkable about them. "Alright. We're sorry. Just...just don't kill out boss. Don't kill us."

The Crusader said one thing more as they had their standoff. She spoke towards the shopkeeper. "So...do you believe them. Do you believe you will not receive reprisal for the events that have transpired here. Regardless of any apologies?" Irolia and Zan could leave her now, alive, without killing these enemies. But the shop keeper would also suffer the wrath of these goons. The Sith was still a servant of the Empire and part of her just dislikes scum like this taking advantage of people, throwing their weight around. Depending on how the shopkeeper acted, she would decide these scum fate.

Irolia really wanted to watch the Devaronian choke to death before her, see him wither and squirm on the floor. She heard the pleas, but in truth, she didn't really care. The shop keeper looked terrified but listened to what Zan said and looked to the thugs in front of the two ladies.

Shaking his head behind the counter, "they come from time to time and threatens me to give them cheaper prices," explained the Twi'lek looking almost more scared of the three thugs than Zan and Irolia. Okay, well maybe not the blue Sith, but she did use her space magic to choke another person, where Zan hadn't done anything yet really.

That was everything Irolia needed to hear, not that she needed some Twi'lek's sod story to determine whether she wanted to attack or not. Within a split second, had Irolia acted and dropped her hold on the Devaronian and jumped the Wookie. The Wookie roared in pain as a red beam of light bored through its shoulder, making it stumble on its back and dropping the bowcaster. The Wookie had been lucky, it by reflex, moved just a bit to the right, when Irolia penetrated her lightsaber through it as she force jumped onto the Wookie.

The Devaronian still coughed heavily, finally being able to beath and the Trandoshan has had its focus on Zan, so when the Wookie roared and fell, it turned its head for just a few seconds, but enough to give her an opening. The Wookie, on the other hand, was not ready to die and grabbed Irolia and lunched her through the air, sending her crashing into the wall. Much could one say the Wookies lacked, but survivability and strength weren't.

Roaring, the Wookie went for its bowcaster, only to be met with powerful lightning from Irolia, making it roar yet again in pain.

The devaronian clutched his throat, trying fruitlessly to pull away the intangible grip around his neck. Zan watched him struggle for a moment befiore the wookie cohort became enraged. Irolia jumped into the fray quickly though and took on the brutish being.

The shopkeeper screamed and ducked behind his counter. That was smart. The choking devaronian regained his breath and was between Zan and the Trandoshan for the time being. He pulled a blaster but the woman grabbed his wrist and pointed it up towards the ceiling. While she had her grip on his wrist she used force fire to conjure a jet of flame, burning his entire arm to a crisp. A howl of pain came from his mouth but she just chopped her open palm into his adam's apple. The act crushed his windpipe and as a result his already damaged hand loosened its grip on the blaster in his hand. The one good hand belonging to the horned thug struggled to decide weather to go between the flames that were climbing towards his torso or the damaged neck.

The panicking trandoshan, realizing what was happening. Taking a step back away from the burning body of his leader he stared at Zan through the rising smoke. Casually she turned the blaster taken from the dying devaronian and just fired a few times into the reptilian. She was angry and so emptied the side arm into the trandoshan.

Arcing lightning lit up the room. The streams of energy were enough to cause pain to the wookie but at Irolia's skill and experience as an acolyte Zan did not expect it to actually kill the large being. Pulling out her lullaby blaster pistol she fired at the large being. It was still trying to get to its bowcaster but ended up getting a heavy blaster bolt to the head. In a moment it was dead. She holstered it just as easily as she had pulled it out. The sounds of the dying devaronian finally ceased.

If the Twi'lek had been scary, he would definitely shab his pants right now as he cowered down on the floor behind the counter. It was quite crazy how much a Wookie could take of punishment and still try and get up or go for the counter-attack. But no one, not even a Wookie, could take a blaster shot to the head and survive, which pissed off Irolia when Zan killed her fun. The luminous blue light from the stream of energy created by her lightning stopped, giving the shop its brown and white colours back. Walking up to Zan, "that was my kill!" scowled the blue Sith now more annoyed than anything.

The voice of a very scared Twi'lek came beside them, "t-thanks, b-but please leave my shop, you can have the droid" stuttered the Twi'lek scared of pissing off these two ladies. Irolia scowled up at the Deucalian a bit more, but then snapped at the shop keeper, "here" and with a quick move paid the shop keeper the credits. She then disappeared back to get the droid.

The twi'lek gulped as he stood with his credits and looked after the blue Sith, not quite sure what to do and he really didn't want to piss off the mountain of a woman before him.

She knew it was coming, the annoyance from Irolia. But Zan only wondered if she would give it voice or just pout. Turning her head to look at the Pantoran in the eye she stared back at her. "You weren't killing him. Just torturing. Your technique isn't strong enough yet for that." She stated as an observation. There was plenty more to add but the Deucalian did not like being long winded.

The terrified tone of the shopkeeper came from behind the counter. Since the commotion had ceased it would seem the twi'lek had decided to rise up from where he had taken cover. "With pleasure." She said flatly. He did not realize that if the two Sith had left things as they were the thugs would have probably returned and hurt the man. But Zan had not done it for thanks.

With droid in tow, the Crusader and the Acolyte left the shop. The trekked back across the dunes and made their way to their ships. There Zan would finish the decoding of the droid. Copying the coordinates and sharing them the two Sith were soon taking off and heading towards Deucalia.
