DESCRIPTION​

Minxly Droids have always been a bit peculiar, both in their physical design and their logic programming. The company is a small outfit based out of Hutt Space that refurbish old droids, remaking them into a hodge-podge of droid parts that combines into a fairly modern droid of its kind. Making the droids reliable will depend entirely on its owner. Much like other astrogation droids, the unit is able to perform repair work on most any platform. It still provides support as part of a starship crew, able to even pilot in a pinch. It has the module space for an astrogation co-processor, but SAD1P was missing its module when it was purchased.

The SAD-4A series is a tinker's droid. It is rare to find this droid with the same physical appearance as another. Some are outfitted with wheels, tracks, bipedal legs, etc. Others have one articulated arm, two articulated arms or no arms. There is even an annual convention where the owners of SAD-4A compare notes, buy parts and show off how they have modified their droids.

“SawDip” used to belong to Vu'thari. The SAD-4A astrogation droid is designated SAD1P, or just "SawDip". This droid loves to please his “master”, but really took a shine to Ayasha. Seeing that the naïve Padawan needed some extra assistance to navigate the galaxy, Vu’thari gifted the droid to her—and SawDip was quite fine with it.

LEGALITY​

Legal. The SAD-4A series astromech droid is not legally restricted throughout most of the Empire and beyond.

INTENT​

This is an astrogation droid that I intend to modify through a tech plot. This entry is here to accommodate any changes based on those plots. He is used as a companion and a conversation character for Ayasha.
