Same but Different

Isabella had planned another attack on the Empire for today. She was sneaking around the market of Lothal waiting for her chance to blow something up or pull her blasters out and start shooting down trooper after trooper. As it was, there were storm troopers everywhere and she was doing her best to keep her hood pulled over her head even though her long blonde hair came out in the front of it.

Then it happened. A storm trooper stopped her and asked for her identity. She rolled her eyes under her hood and waved her hand using the Jedi mind trick. "You don't need my identity." she said quietly but firmly. The storm trooper took his hand off of her shoulder and he repeated what she said. It had worked. "I don't need your identity." he sounded like a drone. "Good, then I'll be going then trooper!" she said happily walking away for a new hiding spot.

Soon, she found an alley to hide in the had a lot of crates. She had a feeling that this was a good place. She then sensed something was off. She felt like she was being watched. Keeping her hood on her head, she looked around for anybody who could have been spying, but there was nobody. She put her arm under her cape and grasped her blasters in case something were to happen. She may be 15 but she was not one to mess with. Although she was very sweet when she got to know people.

She wondered who was watching her. She wanted to know so bad. Who was out here with her?

Jack was helping put some crates away while working as a traders assistant. After all the crates were offloaded the traded gave him a break. Jack walked around the markets of Lothal and looked at all the exotic goods when he rounded the corner and saw two people. A storm trooper and a civilian. He quickly stept into the shadows and listend to the conversation.

He came to realise that something was up as the civilian was able to change the troopers mind about his check. He quickly thought about what he just saw and was shocked when he realised that the civilian possibly used a force mind trick on the trooper. Since she was sneaking around he suspected she might be a young jedi padawan. He knew he ought to be careful so he climbed onto the roof and quietly followed the possible jedi. When she stopped at a area with a lot of crates Jack bent down on the roof and waited to see what would happen or what she would do.

Isabella crouched down low still sensing someone. She sensed it was behind her and she turned around to see who it was but realized no one was there. She narrowed her eyes and turned back to find a blaster two inches away from her face. She got up realizing that the other troopers weren't exactly looking their way and she grabbed him by the chest armor and dragged him into a small area before knocking him out with a blaster. She then hid back in a dark spot when the troopers that acompanied the trooper she just killed, ran out of the alley trying to find the source of the shot.

She then pulled the trooper out of the little alcove and pulled his helmet off. She looked at him as she pulled her hood back revealing a freckle-faced girl with ice blue eye. She smiled as she admired the helmet, believing she was alone even though she still sensed the presence nearby.

Jack was still crouched while the girl knocked out or killed the two troopers, when she pulled back her hood and Jack was shocked to see how young she was. He crept around the roof to get a better view of the scene below him while making sure he stayed out of sight.

He closed his eyes and focused on the girl trying to find a connection with the force and her. He sensed the area around him but with his limited knowledge of the force he felt that there was activity here. He opens his eyes and peaks over the ledge to check that the girl was still there.

Isabella then felt weird. It was like someone was trying to connect with her. So, she latched onto the connection letting herself be known to the force sensitive. She then looked around again noticing that she was still alone.

"Hello?" she asked. "Who's there?"

She was going to find out who this other force sensitive was.

Jack felt a small connection to her and knew that it may be time to let himself be known before she dissapears. He moves away from her to make sure he is some distance away before he jumps down to ground level and looks towards her, from a distance he whispers "Hello, please do not be scared."

Isabella felt that he latched onto her connection and then she heard something hitting the ground behind her and she turned around quickly to see who it was. She heard his whisper and took her hands away slowly from her blasters and lightsabers.

"Who are you?" She said looking into the darkness where he was narrowing her eyes slightly to see his frame in the shadows. Isabella tucked the trooper's helmet under her arm and placed a foot on the troopers chest as she waited for the other force sensitive to come out.

Jack sighed with relief as she put her hands away from the blasters. He watched as she put her foot on the storm trooper. He looked back up to her face and took a step forward. "My name is Jack, Jack Forr. I think it might be better if we move away from here. Some troopers might come looking for those two and it would be better if we are away from here."

He used force jump to jump back up onto the roofs and crouched waiting for the girl.

Isabella heard him introduce himself and his suggestion to get moving from their area. "Isabella Jarrus; nice to meet you Jack." She said giving her quick introduction. "And yes I agree, we should get out of here."

She saw his force jump onto the roof and she smiled before doing the same adding a spin to it, landing perfectly and quietly next to Jack.

Jack was impressed with her skills and thought that he might be able to learn a lot. "I know an abandoned house near here where it will be quiet." He continued over the roofs occasianly force jumping over a large gap while keeping out of sight.

Jack jumps down and opens the front door "Come inside."

She smiled as she got up and started following Jack to the abandoned house he spoke of. Maybe he knew of the same one she did? Who knows? "Great, let's go." she responded as they started running and jumping the roofs.

She jumped off the roof after he did and then he opened the door. This was the other side of the street her other abandoned house was. "Is this where you live?" she asked quietly as they went inside. She decided not to say anything about her place yet.

He walked inside after her. "Please take a seat." he pointed to the table in the corner. He walked to a cuboard and got out some refreshments. And walked back and placed them on the table. "Take something if you wish." He joined her at the table.

He sighed and looked "I do not live anywhere. I roam the galaxy is what you could say. I am an assistant of a trader and follow him on his routes. While i am on the planets i search the towns and note abondend building that i can use as safehouses." He kept secret that he was on the lookout for jedi.

"May i ask who you really are? I saw you with that guard. What did you use on him?" He looked at her face.

She nodded as she sat down at the table he told her to. She watched as he went over and got refreshments and brought them back over explaining that he also lived nowhere. "I don't live anywhere either, the Jedi have given me a place to lay my head down and they've been able to feed me." she explained.

"My parents werent able to feed me and give me a place to sleep. They died before i could even know them." Isabella heard him asking for her true identity and what she did to the trooper. She smirked before she responded. "Oh yeah, about that... I use- wait you saw that?!" she asked somewhat shocked. "Well, uh, anyway, I used the Jedi Mind Trick on him. The Empire has been looking for me for quite some time. I've gotten in trouble for rebelling against them. They've tried to catch me but I'm too quick for them." she explained. So she turned to look at him straight on and re-introduced herself. "So yes, I'm Isabella Rae Jarrus, a Padawan of the Jedi Order."

He looked at her "i also lost my family at a young age. I am sorry for your loss aswell."

"Well i must say that is an impressive trick you can use. I have been on the lookout for jedi on my various trips but you are the first one i have come across. So the empire is after you, eh. Well i would suggest laying low as i see it you are a rebel and are alway looking to mess with the empire. One day that might get you killed" he said seriously.

"What are your plans if i may ask? What are you doing on Lothal?" He inquired.

She gave a small smile when he said he lost his too. "It's ok. I've tried to move on the best I can." she said kinda quiet.

She looked at him when he said that she could get killed from rebelling against the Empire. "Yeah I know. But they were the ones from what I heard that took my parents. I never knew them but I'd heard rumors that the Empire got them because they were Jedi." she said.

She then shrugged at his question. "Plans? Nah, there aren't any plans other than to live and become a Jedi knight. I'm on Lothal because I can't get anywhere else. I've lived here my entire life." she said calmly.

"How did you learn your skills. Was there a jedi master here on Lothal?" Jack asked with a shocked expression.

She smiled slightly. "Yes actually there was. And there still is. His name is Master James Thomas, he was the one who took me in with the Jedi and trained me as his own. I don't know exactly what happened but master said that he found me on the doorstep as a baby." she said. Isabella let out a small smile to show that she wasn't afraid of her past neither was she bothered to talk about it.

He looked intruiged and was quiet for a minute, thinking how to continue. "Hmm, i have suspected that my father was a Jedi. When i found out they dissapeared i searched our house. I sensed that something was hidden under the flooring. When i opened it i found a crystal, wrapped in cloth." He pulled out the cloth from his backpack. "Do you know what this is?" He hands over the cloth.

Isabella smiled listening to Jacks story. When he handed the crystal to her, she took it carefully and took a close look at it before she looked back to jack and smiled. "Jack, this is a Kaiburr Crystal. You've found your Lightsaber crystal."

His eyes widend. "So you are saying that this is the crystal used to power the lightsabers?" He stared at the crystal now in her hand for a minute before asking "What other parts are needed to create a lightsaber?" He stops and realises. "Do you know anybody who could help me to create my lightsaber. And maybe train me to use it aswell?"
