BIOGRAPHY
Sakas lost most of her family when she was young, leaving her family rather whittled down to just herself, her sister Meeka and her father Devat. Her father was a military man, serving in the navy of the Mikkian Defense Fleet as a marine dropship pilot and medic. While her father did nothing to encourage either of his daughters, they both decided to follow in his footsteps but in different ways. Meeka studied hard at school and became a doctor on Mikkia while Sakas focused more on her tactics than how to bandage someone up, taking as her father in the more martial sense.
Joining up when she was 18, Sakas flew for the Mikkian Defense Fleet as an armored transport co-pilot for several years before she was offered the chance to head off to become a Sector Ranger instead. At this point she was 23 and eager to see more of the Galaxy so she signed on to become a Sector Ranger and started her duties as one shortly thereafter. Over the years she spent most of her time policing the Mid Rim rather than the Core or the outer reaches of their jurisdiction like some Rangers did.
She was working out of Outpost Blue, running anti-piracy raids and protection runs, when the Ranger HQ was destroyed by the Sith and since then she has taken more assignments within the Core to try and better serve now that the central point of the Rangers has been shaken.
Personality
A product of her upbringing and her time spent in the cockpit, Sakas is a sarcastic person with a strong sense of gallows humor that she employs often whenever violence is employed. Behind the controls of a ship or speeder she enjoys going fast for speed's own sake, though this does mean that she isn't great on stakeouts as she does not have an abundance of patience for waiting.
She also has little patience for people she believes are idiots or can be thought of as wasting her time. Beneath her exterior she is much like many Mikkians in that she forms strong and lasting bonds of kinship with those she trusts and works with.
Skills
Dangerously Good Driving - Sakas is a combat pilot through and through, which means she excels and focuses on flying fast during active combat with enemy ships, stations and ground weapons. This extends from space to other types of craft as well, especially her Pursuit Speeder "Scrambled".
Explosions Come in One Size - Trained to help secure landing sites and hold them as people embark, Sakas has a fondness for using explosives as a clearing method, either in the form of grenades or from mounted weaponry.
A Good Blaster At Her Side - As with securing landing sites before, Sakas is a good shot with both blaster pistols and rifles, though she does prefer to bring out the bigger guns whenever the situation allows.
Blades Are For Choppers - Sakas does not use bladed weapons. After a training accident cut one of her headtails, she decided that she would never use them again and has stuck by this.
