Saerina has an extremely small, light body build (5'2" and 100 pounds). This can be a disadvantage because it is very difficult for her to gain muscle mass, so she isn't particularly strong, but it helps with her agility and speed. She doesn't naturally have a very curvy physique. She has long, straight, golden brown hair which she usually wears in a braid. Her eyes are bluish grey and her skin is fair and burns easily. Based on her appearance, most people tend to assume that she is much younger than she actually is, or that she is too small to be a powerful fighter. People are usually surprised when they learn she is a Jedi Knight.

BIOGRAPHY:
Saerina was born on Alderaan to parents that were involved in the local government. She doesn't remember much of her life there, since she was little more than a toddler when the Jedi found her on a peacekeeping mission. They found her playing with one of their lost lightsabers- even though it was on full power she managed not to hurt herself with it. Sometimes she wishes she remembers her family, but she sees the Jedi themselves as her family. For a while she trained without a master, attending classes and being involved in group training.
As a young child, she went with the Jedi on a mission to Alderaan and got to see her home planet again for the first time. It was a strange experience for her, and she met who would become her best friend- Sevarin Telluria. He seemed shy and distant at first, as Saerina probably did, but they soon got to know each other. She discovered that he was bitter towards the Jedi because his father was killed by the Jedi, and for a long time Saerina internally struggled with this. The idea of people feeling damaged and betrayed by the Jedi was brand new to her. Even as she entered adulthood she never quite figured out how to answer someone who would accuse the Jedi in this way of being evil. But, despite the difference, she and Sev grew to be best friends.
Around the age of thirteen she found a master who agreed to personally train her- Cassus Lammerai- and for the most part she had a pretty smooth training experience. Her mentor taught her how to reach out beyond her comfort zone and awake her inner passion. At a very young age she built her own lightsaber- blue and double-bladed with the crystals exposed. The lightsaber has always been what made Saerina feel connected to the Force, and learning how to use it was the thing that came most naturally to her. She had a difficult time grasping the more abstract, internal nature of the Force, but her master helped her overcome this. Now she is strong enough in the Force as any competent Jedi Knight, but, being a true Jedi Guardian, is the more skilled in lightsaber combat than anything else.
She went on many missions as a Padawan, since she and her master were both fans of hands-on experience. Some of them posed extremely difficult ethical dilemmas that tested her understanding of the Jedi Code. The completion of one of these more difficult missions led to her moving on to become a Jedi Knight. Now that she has just recently achieved this rank, her struggle has become finding her purpose within the Jedi Order. She wants to be more than just another body with a lightsaber, but hasn't yet discovered what this greater purpose might be.
SKILLS:
Saerina has a natural, intuitive, well-developed skill with a lightsaber. She is able to quickly understand new techniques and store them in her long-term memory, and she has little trouble incorporating them into the context of a real duel or battle. Thanks to her small size and several years of studying technique, she is very agile and precise and has graceful footwork. She is trained in the lightsaber forms Soresu and Makashi. (Very competent with Soresu, Makashi skills are still developing.)
As a user of the Force, she is as competent as any Jedi, but advanced Force skills don't come naturally to her. She is not one who enjoys sitting and meditating for long periods of time. However, she is good at applying practical Force skills into her lightsaber technique. In particular, she has been trained to use the Force with telekinesis, Force Sense, and acrobatics.
