Juulius stood upon the walkway overlooking the ground level, a tether to his right connecting the main building to the barracks and a high speed lane entering the main structure to his front. The schematics of the base indicated the generator that powers the antena atop the building projecting the shielding over the area was two sub basements below the surface; which left the strike team with two options.

"We can go high and attach demo to the antena or we can go low and knock the grid out, I'm junior on this task vod so the choice is yours." Juulius said as he held his helmet underneath the black rain resistant poncho that concealed his armor while leaning on the railing. A small contingent of saboteurs had been tasked with the duo of Mandalorians and stood posed to follow their lead once a plan was made. "We can probably get in through the tether to our right and find a lift to the roof, or we can try the route through the vehicle bay and find a way down.." His words thick with thought as he tried to navigate the best plan of action in his head.

"Either way we're in for a fight when they catch wind and if we don't get the shield down quick we're sitting ducks until the bombardment rains hellfire on this place... Our exfil ride can meet us once the task is done. I'm ready on your go-ahead." Juulius finished as he adjusted the deck sweeper on his shoulder, it was slung across his back and mostly out of sight as he waited.

Burkhart eyed the area around them. He made sure his jetpack was in combat mode. He had his own deck sweeper ready for action and resting tightly against his large burly shoulder. Juulius Kryze, he spoke out the options. The Morling listened but responded simply while keeping an eye out for any possible enemies. He had twelve Kelborn Marauders with him. They were perfect for this sort of operation but their black matte armor did not reflect much of the light like one would expect. They all kept to the shadows like they had been taught to until it was time to strike.

"Tha projector is all weh need ta take out. They woont beh able ta fix that by the time we bugger off an our ships erase this place." He was not very fond of going under ground, not after hunting that bounty on Vjun. Drace Solus had been put in a comma for the mistakes made. He just wanted to see this whole area turned into a smoldering crater.

Those ships in orbit had been commanded by Burkhart to destroy the communication relay in orbit. He had taken the quick path and dropped down with a dropship a bit ways off to link up with Juulius and now they were inside the compound ready to make some mayhem.

Kuat was a centerpiece of the Empire and something of a crown jewel so to speak for its industrial capacity. Alex knew it was only a matter of time before their enemies came for it and so lengthy preparations had been made to safeguard the ground shield generator from assault. The military building was protected by automated motion sensors and floodlights but that would be never enough to catch every determined attacker.

To supplement the numerous Imperial defenders in the building, two Sith deployed to monitor the roof and ensure the projector was not left undefended. Alex stood armor-clad near the center of the roof looking out over the various cover that presented itself, taking in the tactical information and mentally preparing herself for a fight should one precipitate. Her crimson lightsaber was clipped on her left hip and sidearm on her right along with her other usual weapons.

There was ominous darkness that loomed across the rooftop as she surveyed it and placed a hand on the four-foot high sandbag barricade that surrounded the projector, this war had wrought a terrible price. Around the edges of the roof was further scattered sandbag defenses, there to provide cover for firing down onto the ground and the suspected front line before defenders could fall back to secondary, and tertiary positions.

This setup and her positioning allowed Alex to quickly move in any direction toward the threat and still be reasonably able to find cover should it be required.

"It's quite the beautiful out here, isn't it?" Thelemy Oronays asked his fellow sith as he stood on the roof of the building, looking up at the skies of Kuat before turning his attention back to surveying the landscape for signs of danger. He had in his hands his saber staff, absentmindedly shifting it within his grasp, and occasionally giving it a light twirl with his wrist. The twi-lek's pistol was holstered on his left thigh, and he wore the standard light armor of a sith, the Sith Maurader armor.

The sith had been assigned to assists in the defense of this place from the mandalorians, and was more then happy to oblige. Even if it simply meant acting as a guard for this facility and its antenna. The twi'lek took in a breath of the night air and exhaled contently with a sigh, "I hope the moon breaks through tonight. Such a lovely color..." Thelemy said with a smile as he paced, his partners silence making the man wish to talk a bit, at least until trouble reared its head.

With another, less content sigh, Thelemy spoke up as he stared out into the darkness, "You know...if the Mandalorians do show up, It'll be quite the bloody fight..." He said as he smiled a bit at the thought, "I hope you're as excited for that as I am."

Juulius lifted his helmet and placed it on his head with a twist and turned to Burkhart "It's all coming up milhouse I suppose... We can take the connecting walkway over and make our way to the roof or we can just start climbing I suppose." The younger mandalorian spoke with uncertainty of the task and was looking to his senior for guidance on the matter. "Follow my lead vod." Juulius said as he pushed off of the railing and tightened the sling on his deck sweeper to make sure it would stay in place on his back once things started happening as they always did.

His dark colored armor, smatters of black and grey topped with the black poncho would help him move with the help of the night sky keeping him better protected from the naked eye. Juulius would begin to move the length of the railed walkway to meet the walkway that connected the building to his right and the target building to his left; with his running start he would launch and land a few meters above his previous station now on top of the encased walkway. Not bothering to check behind him knowing the seasoned warrior could keep up with ease Juulius sprinted the fifteen meter tether, moving faster than an average mandalorian if anyone was paying attention and came to the other side.

The walkway meeting the building was a handful of meters difference to the 't' shaped wings that protruded from the buildings base and would serve as the next point of movement for the assault team. Juulius would take a knee in the crook of the buildings architecture and wait for the others before moving; assuming there were defensive units waiting for them on the roof. His movements would be quick if anyone above decided to take a sweep from their current positions and likely wouldn't notice him, his current resting position would require the defenders to lean and look straight down but even then his black shrouded state would prove even more difficult to notice.

_______________

Mandalorians were warriors by nature. It was in their way of life. Solus members were vicious, capable of being borderline rabid in battle. House Solus, which Clan Kelborn had pledged itself to did not change Buerkhart's tendencies. As Alor of Clan Kelborn he was the primary represenatives of his Aliit's combat doctrine. Those that new of Clan Kelborn, the twin wolves knew they were cold, calculating and efficient in their method of war. They did not pull punches, they did not hesitate to display honor. If they were fighting someone to the death they put their enemies down.

The Imperial forces below them had made their choices. At best they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. At worsed they were the dirty scum of the galaxy that he believed them to be. They still had some distance to cross but that was fine. He made his way accross the walkway, mirroring his cohort's. They were two stories off the ground now but that was of little consequence to him. In the event that aerial manuvering came into play he was prepared.

The roof of the building where the projector was located was quite high up. It was easily seven stories tall, if not ninety. He wondered if he should just jetpack to the roof but that would be leaving Juulius behind. The large mandalorian moved quickly after his comrade, keeping his deck sweeper in his grip and pumping it as he ran to the side of the building. They probably had people posted on the roof, able to see long distances around the perimeter but looking directly down over the edge was likely going to allow them to pass without being noticed.

In business Burkhart was an even tempo talker, even considered smooth and possibly flirtatious depending on the company. But on a mission like this he rarely spoke. His mind was focused on the task at hand and no glib talk or anything other than tactical shorthand was ever mentioned.

Alex wasn't particularly in the mood for a casual conversation with a stranger, even if they were both Sith but she considered that if a fight broke out then they might never speak again. "The moon? I suppose so.." It wasn't so much disinterest in Thelemy but rather her own lack of focus on the conversation at hand, Alex wasn't really a multitasker in that regard. Before their conversation could continue, however, their communications equipment ringing a startling alert - the silent alarm from the motion detection equipment had been set off somewhere down below. Either they were under attack or the base was about to freak out over a bird flying past.

Swiftly and silently Alex turned her gaze toward Thelemy while drawing both her pistol, a frag grenade and listening to the coordinates being almost instantly translated into a rough position relative to theirs. The moment this information had been relayed, Alex leaped forward with force assistance towards the direction that the unidentified bogeys were pinged, ready to fire. Upon reaching the edge of the ledge, she pulled the pin on her grenade in preparation and leaned forward aiming the sidearm in the darkness, all that remained was to look as Alex simply said "Lights."

The autonomous floodlights switched on all around the base, covering the many pathways that hostiles could take toward them, the handful that was in the right place and could track targets using the information relayed through the motion detectors, the light erupted into the world and pierced the darkness that the Mandalorians cloaked in. Just barely 20 meters or so below them were the enemy caught in the floodlight. Although Alex was temporarily still adjusting to the light herself, the blinding light would be worse for the enemy if they looked up. Thinking quickly, she dropped the frag grenade down toward @Juulius Kryze at the edge of the building, she shifted the sidearm and fired her pistol twice with the intent to hit @Burkhart Kelborn in the chest and grievously wound.

The grenade itself would ensure that remaining close to the building would be hazardous if not lethal.

There was an audible sound as the floodlights came on. The same sound when stadium lights were switched, it was a light tricking sound as each individual series of lights activated around the base illuminating everything. It seemed that his otherwise dark armor would not do him much good now. He had spots of orange and red on his right arm that would definitely be seen now. It was go time.

He knew his destination now and there was no point in taking the quiet way up. Burkhart's head was tilted up and saw the silhouette of someone near the edge that had not been there before and an object dropping as well. If they had a bead on him he would want immediate evasive action rather than switching to flight mode. He activated his jetpack's combat mode with a leap and move up to the next platform. The item would fall past him as he moved through the air and land on the walkway where he had been earlier. The grenade was apparently not set to impact, instead it would give Burkhart and his cohort time to avoid it completely in the four seconds it would fall and wait to explode.

The blaster bolts fired at him would rake the air behind him. While he was large the angle on him was not an easy one for the shooter above him. The Morling's normally large frame was actually smaller than if he was horizontally in front of Alexandra, making his profile harder to hit. Traversing ten meters up to the next platform certainly helped too. He was stacked against the wall of the building. While in mid air the Field Marshal would activate his bulwark gauntlet shield seeing as the light from it would no longer be a hindrance since this had turned into an overt operation very quickly.

If the Sith wanted to continue to shoot down at him she would have to make herself a vary obvious target by leaning over the edge, as Burkhart stacked against the building's vertical surface with his back to the wall. His light repeater raised and at the ready in case she decided to press her luck.

Juulius’s assumed stealthy approach was quickly dismissed by the floor of light that steadily began to pour over the bases footprint. He assumed this is what it felt like when a ship goes down and a rescue crew is searching with shipborne spotlights, accept no one was trying to rescue these mandalorians; it was quite the opposite. Reacting from his crouched nook as the rest of the mandalorians and Burkhart rose upward he knew it was time to go.

Pumping once for a standing vertical he would launch the ten or so meters to the next landing, feeling the mix of the force and adrenaline mixing in his body. A feeling he was starting to get familiar with as he moved through the air, catching glimpse of something going down past him. Unsure of what it was, debris or a weapon maybe, he would paid it no mind until it detonated coupled with a pair of blaster bolts from on high. Clearly the fire was not directed at him but his partner, drawing his blaster pistol as he took cover along the support strut closest to the buildings frame.

Mentally noting where the fire had come from and making himself small against the building, using the support strut to cover above himself. Peaking out ever so slightly with blast raised ready to retaliate if things continued the way they were going.

Thelemy had his eyes closed as when the spotlights came on, the sudden shift from light to dark a disorienting affair and the sith being in no rush to hurry after the enemies. They could not escape the fate the force had written for them, no matter how hard they fought. Thus was the way of the world, and why Thelemy had taken his time to properly adjust his eyes, and gather power as he did so, feeling the force welling through him as he forced it into his body and senses, preparing for the fight.

"The dogs have finally made their move." The twi'lek said, referring to the mandalorians as he looked to his own partner, motioning for her to move back from the edge "The enemy is entrenching themselves. We need to lure them in..." meanwhile he got onto his comms, connecting to the base, "We're intruders attempting to assault the roof. Mobilize security and tell them to watch the skies. Have the subbasement sealed off, immediately."

With the orders given and the base now on full alert, if the explosion had not already alerted the local security of what was happening, Thelemy ignited both ends of his saberstaff as he looked to Alexandrea. "That aught to put a bit of fire at their backs."

Alexandra stepped back from the edge of the ledge that she had been firing from, completely obscuring both herself and the hostiles from each other while drawing and waiting to ignite her lightsaber in the other hand. Moving backward into cover 10 meters from the edge she continually watched for any sign of hostile movement or weaponry as the rooftop was now well illuminated.

Alex waited and watched with the pistol drawn, but not forgetting her partner for this battle was nearby "Some say patience is a virtue, but it certainly isn't one of mine." Regardless of what they might want, the enemy would have to come to them or leave without success.

No slight outline of the attacker disappeared from sight near the edge. No further blaster bolts or shots were sent down towards them either and the grenade would go off without harming either of the mandalorians. Burkhart tapped the controls on his gauntlet easily enough to switch to flight mode for his jetpack.

Slinging his light repeater he drew his violator in his right hand and VBL-11 blaster pistol in his left. "See ya oop there, vod" He said simply to his cohort and took a few steps away from the wall and shot up into the sky. As he rose he began depressing the trigger of his violator knowing it had a few moments to charge. The Morling circled the building slightly in a counter clockwise spiral manner. While he had been on the east side of the building before he would be on the north side by the time he crested the edge of the roof and at the Sith's left side or 9 o'clock.

By the time he rose over the roof's edge he would have his gauntlet shield in front of his body and his violator just peaking around behind it. The shield was translucent and allowed him to keep a good eye on the two targets before him. Even in the darkened environment it was easy to spot the two targets with their glowing weapons out. They had backed away ten meters from the east wall and were a little less the same distance on the northern side. The sound of the wining violator would be masked until he was within view since the building walls and the hubbub of the base alert would mask it. Soon the wine would change to the sound of the weapon firing at the female sith, @Alexandra Thul Drast .

His partner had taken to the sky, poking his head out to observe the height he would have to traverse Juulius would grimace. But looking just beyond his current position vertically he could see the security barred windows roughly ten meters above and with a running start he would leap with help of the force and land on the curve support strut he had been using for cover. Moving to its apex and over to the windows Juulius could see the security bars were large and spaced far enough apart a person could get through as they were likely to be a defense against ship based attacks.

Quickly kicking in a window Juulius would find himself somewhere in an access hallway, searching for signage until directed to a turbolift. Hurrying to it he would holster his blaster pistol and rotate his slung repeater to his front holding it ready to fire as the lift arrived. Entering the unoccupied transport he would hit the button for the roof and wait for the lift to bring him to his destination on the roof.

Alexandra caught a glimpse of Mandalorian with peripheral vision, jetting up on her left from below suddenly causing her first reaction, the immediate need to change position to avoid being hit. The rooftop had numerous spots that had been placed to provide protection from gunfire, Alex pivoted forward into a flip over the barrier with perhaps a moment's respite before the disruptor round screamed by where her body had previously occupied. Having regained her footing, she took a defensive position against the North West as her enemy spiraled that way.

The repositioning was only a foot or two's movement due to the nature of the barrier but as Alex was side on to the attacker, the Mandalorian was not making an advantageous shot with the minimal profile she initially presented.

Alexandra's heart pulsed rapidly with the beginning of the combat as she then opened fire once upon the flighty target, taking her chances that he would be busy avoiding anything her fellow Sith did in return while she initially remained the focus.

Thelemy didn't like this combat, not that he particularly enjoyed fighting in it and of itself. The areal opponent would be a problem, one that would require solving. The bases roof had barriers built onto it should an assault have occurred, something he needed to be thankful to the paranoia of the empire for providing to them.

But thelemy's target was in the air, and so the Sith needed to get to higher ground. With a leap he jumped backwards, sailing into the air as he landed on the roof of the elevator lift thanks to the power of the force. The towering spire of wires and antenna at his back a he saw the mandalorian in the air, Thelemy removed a hand from his saberstaff and drew his Chanti Blaster Pistol. The enemies position facing north of the base made it too risky to jump at him or unleash lightning upon them. But firing with the force wouldn't be out of the question.

He trusted the forces aim to guide his hand as he lined up his gun with the flying mandalorian, aiming for the man himself, and to try and disarm him of his violator. Neutralizing the enemy was top priority, and they couldn't risk an enemy above them with such firepower while also being assaulted by other forces on the lower level. He fired 2 shots, both of them sailing towards the target, who was likely being preoccupied with evading or blocking his opponents shots to defend against his own, coming from a completely different angle and trajectory. Otherwise, he would be taking Alexandra's shot in order to defend or evade from Thelemy's blots.

The female managed to get out of the way of his shot just in time. He shot backwards, away from the two sith to the north west so he was over twenty meters from each of them. Expecting retaliation his thrusters zoomed him off while still facing south towards the two Sith in front of him. The blaster shot from Alexandra would zip past his left through the space he had occupied a moment before.

Meanwhile the twi'lek upon seeing him rise Burkhart saw the man produce a weapon after landing that was apart from his lightsaber. The speed of his jetpack maneuver would have the same affect on Thelemy's two shots as he moved across his vision and relatively further away. The male sith had waited to do an obvious maneuver and taken the time to draw at the already highly mobile Field Marshal. His traversal of the air would make hitting him difficult across both Sith's view. In a few heartbeats his disruptor would be ready to be used again.

While his dodge of two angles was avoided his left arm, bearing the shield gauntlet leveled the VBL-11 at Alexandra. That way his right side was still partially protected with his shield from further attacks by Thelemy as well as ready to close with his body to protect against landed attacks. He kept his right arm raised so it would be ready the moment he wanted to use it.

The turbolift would reach the roof moments after the initial action, the doors sliding open to a view of Juulius's fellow mandalorian arcing through the air to the northwest and focusing his fire on an individual. With his repeater already primed to fire Juulius would depress the trigger to allow five bolts to scream from the barrel towards the already focused individual who was still maintaining a partially exposed profile from their position of cover, the short distance the bolts would have to traverse would likely surprise the defender and cause harm or the need to retract from an attacking position. Being no more than ten meters from the figure, Juulius would wrap around the northern side of the turbolifts housing, keeping tight to the buildings structure and putting cover between himself and the defender after firing.

Keeping his repeater at the ready Juulius would take a knee, his senses extending out around him as the proximity of another being that was seeping anger and darkness was seemingly right on top of him. Making sure he was not exposed to the defender to the southeast Juulius would focus his attention to his surroundings in preparation of another combatant revealing themself.

Alexandra's body positioning meant that whilst presenting a minimal profile toward the flying Mando, the newest entrant would appear a short distance in front of her and ready for business. Only firing once at the target proved to be fortuitous as had she continued, it would not have given the agile Sith an opportunity to escape the deadly incoming fire. With bated breath and a defensively held lightsaber to block the first strike, Alex spun sideways enhanced by the force, suddenly, to the right to avoid the onslaught owing to both the sound of the turbolift giving him away early and knowing ahead of time that there was another attacker waiting in the lurches.

The aforementioned blaster bolt came dangerously close to impacting Alex in the chest if it were not for the extended lightsaber held in her right hand, idly situated defensively in front of her but even her own talents wouldn't be sufficient to deflect all five shots from a repeater and thus forced her to quickly move to avoid a sudden death.

Watching @Juulius Kryze moving toward cover rather than continue to fight encouraged Alex to give chase in the hopes of a melee clash quickly sheathing her pistol. The very short distance to cover would mean that she would only be visible to the flying Mandalorian for a short time before making a daring move herself.

Still maintaining a narrow profile toward @Burkhart Kelborn but ensuring her unpredictability, Alex would jump and twist over the last few meters and corner of the lift with the intention of landing south facing on the right-hand side of the housing unit (next to her partner but on the same level as Juulius) saber drawn in her right hand and left free. If @Juulius Kryze was in the range of a melee attack during or after landing then she would swing in an attempt to bisect him diagonally otherwise if he was not, she would lunge forward into position to do so ready to defend herself as before.

Thelemy heard the sound of the turbolift arriving as he saw his shots miss their marks. The mandalorian in the skies was far too mobile to hit without combined effort. The sith thought perhaps reinforcements had arrived, but a sudden sense of dread crawled up his spine, and a second later the sound of shots and the flash of blaster bolts from below Thelemy caught his attention. The sith did not waste time holstering his pistol, dropping it to the roof as he bolted towards the turbolifts doors.

He saw a figure making their way around the northside of the lifts, keeping tight to it as Thelemy snarled. One enemy in the air was hard enough without another on the ground. The sith stepped off the building, using the force to soften his landing as he came to drop upon his enemy from behind. With his saberstaff held in two hands, positioned horizontally to himself, Themely would drop with the left blade coming down to try and cut the man's back as he landed. His feet on the ground, he would then sweep his saberstaff as he turned to face his foe, aiming a low slash with his right blade to try and cut the foes leg, keeping him from fully getting to cover and catching him before he managed to kneel.
