PERSONALITY:
Sabine is brash, arrogant, and full of energy, often annoying those around her for one reason or another. Though she was a smuggler until a year ago, Sabine has taken up the role of a Jedi with an eagerness most would not expect. The girl is secretly obsessed with cute fuzzy things, such as her Nexu, but will never admit it for she is afraid to be taken as some bubbly girly-girl. Alternately, she has been found to be quite a flirt, though she's never cared to have a relationship with anyone other than friendship, and is very gentle and kind to those she believe are less fortunate. Sabine is very cautious when it comes to people, often never letting people in for fear of being betrayed.
BIOGRAPHY:
Sabine's father was a Sith Warrior, known for his ruthlessness in battle, while her mother was a much younger Acolyte. While her mother had loved her father, he had feared his love for his family would be the end of him, and so attempted to kill his wife while she was with child. She escaped, barely, and the woman fled the Academy. Once Sabine was born, her mother raised her on Dantooine, never once letting her daughter on to her Sith bloodline. Once Sabine's powers came into being, however, she was forced to take counter measures, and taught Sabine just enough to hide it, as well as instructing her in lightsaber combat. However, her mother came down with disease when Sabine was seventeen, and died months later. Left alone in the world, Sabine took her mother's lightsaber and sold the farm, determined to make her mark on the world. It wasn't long before Sabine joined up with a few freelance smugglers, and up until her 24th year, that's where she remained, eventually becoming the captain of the vessel.
As a smuggler, Sabine ran Spice, weapons, any really anything aside from slaves for the right price, even assisting the Hutts in a couple of jobs, though she never did more than that. The Imperium, among a few other less notable influences, have placed bounties on her head for varying reasons, the most humorous being stealing the Nexu cub from the daughter of a wealthy crime lord on Ryloth. Sabine's long time best friend, and first mate, had set up the original job and when it as discovered the crime lord had Hutt connections, he began to worry. Sabine tried to reassure him, but he drifted off for a while before trying to set a trap for her and the crew in Hutt Space, a deal where the crime lord would get the cub and 75% of the bounty money, while the first mate got his life and 25%, along with the ship. Sabine, feeling betrayed, was able to escape along with the cub and her ship. However, the cost was the life of her first mate, whom she had to kill, and her left eye.
Sabine, after obtaining her cybernetic eye, decided she was done with the smuggler's life, but was contacted by someone she had known for years, begging Sabine to take one last job, to smuggle a package to Tatooine. She hesitantly agreed to meet the contact. When she docked and met her contact, there was no boxes or packages, just her contact and a man. Sabine, confused, asked where was the cargo, and the answer her friend gave her was, "here", as she motioned to the man beside her. Sabine refused to move from the spot until she got some answers, and after a short argument, the cargo spoke for himself, and introduced himself as a Jedi who is trying to find someone important on the desert planet. Sabine was dumbstruck, and at first nearly refused the job, but after more credits were shoved her way- and a vow that this was the last job- Sabine agreed.
When they were hitting hyperspace, the Jedi smiled at Sabine. Annoyed, she asked, "what the hell are you smiling about?" He admitted it was hard to believe that she had gone for so long without discovery by the Sith. Sabine brushed him off, but after a flight full of small talk and polite words, the Jedi finally offered to take Sabine with him in his travels, to become a Jedi. Sabine thought about how her life was going, about how she was tired of seeing lives destroyed by the Hutts, the Sith, everyone. She knew the Sith would find her eventually, and that did not sound appealing to her, and so in the end, she decided to go with him.
