"What the kark was that?!" The tone of fear was obvious from the zabrak who was pressed up against the door. "We need to barricade the door." Lucien said in an effort to coordinate the panicked group with him. He didn't know how to answer the stranger's question but that didn't stop him from acting. Moving towards the heavy machine he and two others dragged it screeching to replace the Zabrak. Not a moment went by after they finished moving it that the door slammed against the few millimetres of space before being stopped by the vending machine. All of them jumped back. The Zabrak swore in Huttese as the door slammed repeatedly. More items were added to the barricade.
The Morgnian stuntman checked his comlink. Still he didn't have any signal. The short range communicator wasn't reaching any relays, nor would it. Whatever was outside was fast, strong, and tough. "Did you hit it?" Lucien asked, pocketing the glorified paperweight. The banging stopped. "I uh..." The zabrak took a few steps back, facing the door but evidently more unsettled by the sudden silence. "...don't think so. I-it was too fast." Fast enough to avoid getting hit by a blaster. Lucien had been hoping there was evidence they could at least wound it or benefit from an injured assailant. But no such luck.
<"It?!"> A Rodian said in its native tongue. <"Didn't you get a good look at it?"> There were others in the immediate room beside the three of them. A handful of others had run with Lucien after being attacked by some beast. Evisceration and a hurried run to safety had occurred just moments ago that led to their current situation.
"I can't get a signal. Anybody else able to call out?" He doubted it. "No...kark." The same answer came from everyone else in turn. "Make sure there's no other way for it to get in." Lucien said and headed to check any other exits or entrances. At least what little he had seen of it, the man could tell it was fast. But at least it wasn't strong enough to bust through a durasteel wall. Can't run, not now. But we can fortify and maybe hide. Lucien calmed himself and remembered to keep his buried presence technique up. But that was it. He hadn't been able to sense anything even if he wanted to. He wasn't even sure that the creature was a living thing. The well dressed Morganian just knew that those that saw it had their entrails somewhere out there spilled across the ground. If that was the price for seeing what was after him, he was fine keeping it a mystery.
OOC: This is a horror/thrill themed thread. A monster (or maybe more than one) have made escape highly difficult and direct confrontation inadvisable. I'll close the thread if we get a number of people in the thread. Enjoy.
