Root out the Heretic

@Breeso @Vinn Esper @Scrublords

Silence.

That’s all I recall from the landing area, no grandiose ceremony afforded to us as we made our approach, not that it was needed - indeed, by my recollection such an entrance would have been somewhat counterproductive given our aims. In my younger years I would have struggled to see why we had to sneak in aboard some converted freighter, but as I had weathered with age, perchance I had grown wiser.

You see, there are many faces to the Inquisition, righteous zealot (a facade which many of my esteemed colleagues seem to adopt with a little too much ernst) all the way through to cold-blooded killer, and everything in between. Today we had to adopt the latter, and whilst it repulsed me and went against the grain of my nature, none the less it was the correct course of action.

Two others came with me, only one of which I had worked with before (@Breeso), the other was an enigma to me, and I returned the favor, my own past equally as mysterious. It was the nature of the our profession, to remain unknown even to those with whom we worked. I paused, at the exit ramp of the ship, checking my equipment; a simple Sunspear Pistol, MMCA Armor inlaid with the Inquisitorial Symbol, a lightsaber at my hip.

Simple yet effective.

The Reckless Devil felt like a shark in a sea full of other sharks. He always felt like that, but his blood got riled up only on special occasions. This was one of them. They were to end life of some heretic. The Reckless Devil always thought that killing someone for a reason like that was bit of an overkill, but it didn't bother him. As long as he gets to fight, it is not his problem. The only ones with problems are usually the heretics, and today will surely be no different.

Making sure his vibrosword was properly strapped to his belt, he stood up and followed Rex outside. Inquisitor Hyporis was the closest thing Bob could call a friend in the Empire, and yet he was so much more. He was Bob's defacto mentor, his trainer and, in a sense, a savior. The Sith showed him a way to go forward when he couldn't find it himself, and Bob gladly took it. And he's following it to this day. Stepping out of the aircraft with Rex and another associate, he yawned.

"So, what's the plan?" he asked, clearly becoming the guy who asks about the plan, yet has none. "I hope it's gonna be fun."

Scream eyed his two allies, if you could call them that, on the landing strip. He had arrived in a Aggressor Class Attack Craft. When he joined his colleagues, if you could call them that, he had been wearing his typical w11 flight suit and carrying an xpc and his lightsaber.

Scream remained quiet at first analyzing his company on the landing pad. He looked at the speaking one first, he was probably lacking in the intelligence department. Yet, the man was polite despite being a Sith. He wore what one might consider to be common clothing, yet his weapon appeared to have received top quality care.

Was this the other Sith's doing, Scream wondered to himself. They clearly knew each other. Their body language didn't suggest discomfort until Scream himself was added to the equation. That was okay, though. These freaks made Scream uncomfortable too.

The other Sith seemed to be going to great lengths not to look at Scream, or acknowledge him. That was okay too, Scream didn't care if the other Sith liked him or not. "If one begins with the number twelve hundred, and cuts it in half," Scream said to the other Sith, introducing himself, "then what is half a percent of the new number?"

”Three.” I responded quickly ”Now the advanced arithmetic is over, let us continue.” I pointed to the location of our resident heretic, and outlined what would probably turn out to be the simplest plan of my career. ”I say we go in, shoot them, and leave?”

It sounds basic, but in all honesty I was not to worried about the calibre of resistance we would be facing, and well, I could always have used ’Reckless’ as a shield if it came down to it.
