- BIOGRAPHY -
Rin Kosakami has a lot of experience in ship engineering – before he signed on with the Republic navy where he served in the engineering department of a carrier before transferring and becoming a pilot, Rin spent his childhood repairing and flying ships in his father's garage on Corellia. Everyone expected Rin to reach a position of authority within the Navy, he was a shrewd negotiator and possessed a brilliant technical mind. However after Rin was blamed for a lethal crash landing during a training operation and was subsequently passed up for promotion, demoted to ensign, and assigned back to engineering as a non critical mission electrical worker. Knowing that he didn't have a future in the Republic Navy Rin decided to desert, stealing a hyperspace capable fighter and escaping deep into Cartel space where the long arm of the Republic wouldn't catch up with him.
For the next few years Rin carved out a niche for himself as a starship mechanic and and mod developer that undoubtably violated the warranty on the ships he worked on. His involvement with the Ossein was simply by pure chance as he came aboard one of their trade caravans looking for supplies and decided that he liked what he saw and joined their crew, they liked having another mechanic on board and he liked having people to rely on.
