This ghost was far more attached than Morgon had recently believed. It must have been torturous for both of them to be stuck with each for so long. The answer Lujayn gave almost seemed as if she implied that Morgon would be more suitable- but the Anzat had no interest in serving this dead thing or the Jedi, for that matter. Perhaps he had learned enough. This was supposed to lead him to Alduin anyway, so though this was a welcomed surprise, they had stayed in his home for too long.

"Good luck finding a new host, Dead-Thing." Morgon chuckled and then looked at Sybella once again. "I know a method of ridding this spirit from you- I can give it to something else. But it comes with the cost of putting aside your petty beliefs about your Jedi." Morgon offered again, smiling cruelly at the struggling Jedi. "I see your mind, Madame, so leave if you wish. Damn yourself to this curse. Lead me to Alduin another time, perhaps?" The Force was dangerous- something not just anyone could tamper with.

"I brook no violence, Dearie, so do not attack me in my hasty leave of absence. We have quarreled enough, yes?"

Feigning offence, Lujayn offered the Anzat little more than a sneer. Wafting to Sybella’s side once more, the spectre faded in and out of its transparency, looking between the Jedi and Sith with ever shifting interest. There was a visible bristling when Morton offered to banish the parasitic phantom. Could the dark sider really make good on such an offer? Biting at her lip, Sybella seemed to seriously consider it. The price, however, was too great. A Jedi should never surrender their principles.

Reaffirming her stance, the knight drew one of her saber’s hilts. “This burden is mine and mine alone.”

Was there an edge of possessiveness in her tone? Perhaps their relationship was morphing into something unexpected. Instead of being parasitic in nature, the two might have unintentionally formed a bond more akin to symbiotic status. Naturally, Sybella thought nothing of it. Instead, she seemed almost certain that she would be the one to banish Lujayn. The ghost was a trial for her to overcome. Of that, she was certain. ‘I will get rid of her myself. My own way…’

There was, however, another challenge to meet. “You seek Alduin - the one I know as Faen. If you mean to harm him, then I can not let you leave here alive.”

Despite their time apart, Sybella still treasured her friend’s wellbeing. She wouldn’t tolerate the thought of him being hunted down, like some dog. Especially if the tracker was a Sith. Did Faen know? Was he aware of the danger? How desperately she wished to contact him, yet it seemed Morton hoped for such a thing. She would be damned if she allowed herself to be used to Faen’s detriment.

Lujayn, of course, thought otherwise. She chided her host, clinging to her in an attempt to pull Sybella away. The knight, stubbornly, did not move an inch. ‘That seer isn’t worth the trouble! Leave, there is nothing for us here.’

So the woman wouldn't take the Sith's advice? Typical Jedi behavior. Their pride will become their downfall as it has in the past. Though the same could be said to the Sith, whose tactics have only ever cost them the entirety of their order. It didn't mean much to be 'Sith' right now, so why was Sybella so stuck on keeping this darkness to herself? It was curious- but not as curious as her relationship with Alduin, the Huntsmen.

"Mean him harm?" So she was protective of this man she didn't know anymore. "And if I act in self-defense?" He smiled grimly at the rhetorical question. "The man you know as 'Faen' no longer exists, dearest Jedi. He doesn't even know what he is." There was something about the man Morgon wanted to understand. In a way, the Ex-Jedi was doing what the rest of the Jedi could not, but it was at the cost of fighting fire with fire. The artifact was of interest to Morgon as well, but like the wraith that haunted Sybella, the Anzat wanted nothing to do with it.

"But I believe I know what he has become, yes..." Morgon bowed before the woman. "And I only seek to enlighten him and in return, enlighten myself. Knowledge has always been power. If you find him before me, do not think you are encountering an old friend. If anything, I have a better relationship with him than you." And with that, Morgon took his leave, expecting that the Jedi wouldn't stop him. They had made their peace.
