RG-V4 Prototype Rail Gun

Intent: I created this weapon for Jett so he could have a last resort weapon.

Model: RG-V4 Rail Gun

Type: It would technically be a "slug thrower", however it doesn't work with powder to throw it's projectiles.

Size: The weapon is 38 inches in length.

Composition: Plastics and durasteel

Range: 450 - 500 Meter's

Ammunition Capacity: The RG-V4 can only hold one round at a time.

Ammunition Types: Jett only has 2 types of ammunition. He has 4 rounds of armor piercing and 4 rounds of high explosive. (For anti-vehicle.)

Description: The RG-V4 is a modular rifle that was designed for top secret, high stakes missions. The gun is made out of plastics for the outer shell of the weapon and durasteel for the innards. This rifle is technically a sniper rifle but is only 38 inches long, barely longer than a standard rifle. However, this rifle has a long reach thanks to it's high velocity "rounds" it project's. This rifle utilizes a rail gun design that propels projectiles rather than a explosive powder. How it works is very simple. There is a positively charged rail as well as a negatively charged rail, making up the "barrel" of the weapon. These rails are covered in a plastic casing, shielding the "barrel" from outside debris and dirt. These rails are then pumped with an electric current. This current creates an magnetic field. The two magnetic forces than push the projectile outward at extreme speeds, creating a very deadly round.

This rifle also has a long range scope that can be zoomed in for maximum range and shorter ranges. The shortest zoom capable is 2x, which would be about 50 - 100m. And the maximum would be 300 - 350m. There's nothing to fancy about it. Just a functional scope.

Hello. I'm not sure what the admins will say about this weapon, but I do like the design of it. The only thing is, its uncertain whether or not it will be accepted as non-blaster weapons tend to be required to be either less effective then blasters. But we'll see.

I dont know. I mean last time line every one and there mom used rail guns and power armour. They dont want a repeat.

I just wanted to see if it would get approved. I made a rail gun a long time ago, around the first time I started years back. But if it's not, it's ok. I just wanted something a little different. I can't really use it in every topic but it's more of a plot device. Lol

Yeah, railguns (or at least the handheld variety) aren't going to fly this TL, unfortunately. Looks cool though.
